Has anyone ever had a fix for the Voicemail not notifying in gingerbread?
Also, besides the "usb internet pass through" jazz, is there any new way to get usb to work more reliably?
I had some pretty major voicemails I missed this week, so I'm back to good ol Froyo til someone saves me here.....

Download the usb_fix in imoseyon's thread, flash it, no more switching just to get disk drive to work correctly.

Thats a problem with the GB leak all the roms are based on. No fix. I just make sure to check voice mail if I miss a call. A lot of people are using Google Voice - solves the problem.
The USB issue is kernel related and has been fixed in almost all of the newer kernels.

Thanks guys! Helps alot!
Lame about voice mail, but oh well, atleast I will soon have a "normal" usb mode
So, new question:
-I read its possible to change the froyo power bar icons to do different things. I was wondering, is there a way to do some hacking to get custom settings like these in the gingerbread quick settings pull down? I dont use half the stuff in there, and would LOVE to add back my flashlight toggle....
The article I read was here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1062036&highlight=notification
I know that you guys are going to tell me to search through the thread. I'm actually not a noob I just lurk a lot.
I flashed SpeedROM 4.0 and now I am unable to send mms messages (redundant) while I'm connected to my WiFi. I searched all over that thread to find a fix and all I came up with was to install Android 4 ICS Messaging SMS over the Play Store. tried it. it came up with an error "Duplicate Provider Authority" Any help?
I also found out that there's no notification of messages on the lock screen nor does it chime/vibrate/notify when you receive a message from an unknown number

It's a general problem with the amaze on ICS, it's widespread, so don't expect a fix anytime soon.
It never happened on the stock ics with sense 3.6. If I knew how to do all of this stuff I would help. My best guess is that the answer is in the stock ics ROM. I have my stock backup if anyone needs it for study

Do a battery pull... That will drop all the power out of the phones radios and force them to reset. Thus fixing mms hopefully

I tried that already. I actually know all of the basic trouble shooting steps. my last two theories are either the coding for the room is just wrong or I need to flash the kernal which I have nO clue how to do

You do realise I'm on stock ICS right? If you read the wifi thread that's in this very sub forum, you'd see it's not just me that has the issue, many members here as well, go over to tmo's forum and check the ICS bug list thread, you'll see a damn long list of others there as well.

my guess is on the kernel needing to be flashed/reflashed for the mms/wifi thing. as to the other issues, no clue. have you tried running stock ics yet?
Yeah I had stock ics for a while before I switched. I don't know how to flash the kernal though. Honestly if I knew how, I'd just put stock ics mms.apk in the.zip but I tried that already and it canceled the install. Don't know how to do that either

Just reflashed the kernel, same problems still exists. I'm confused now as to what to do.

"Duplicate Provider Authority" means that you are trying to install something that the phone already has system flags dedicated for(this explanation could be a little better).. Speedrom already has the MMS app, use a root tool, titanium backup - something to remove mms.apk from the system/app folder, then you will be able to install the one in the market -- not that that is a sure fire fix.. but one thing at a time. Try that, that is the only reason you couldn't install.
I've been trying like crazy to get the stock ICS mms.apk to work on Sense 3.6. So far, mms will not work, which to me makes it worthless. Does anyone have and information on what it takes to get mms working?
Normal texts go through without issue but pics hang, saying "sending", and never do.
I've tried uninstalling the Sense messaging app and installing the ICS one. I've installed the ICS one as an update to the Sense version. It all ends the same. No mms. Even tried a deodex one from the Sprint Nexus hoping that would work.
Any ideas?

Are you rooted? If not, try a factory reset. You can also call Sprint and have them "refresh" your device.

Whoops, forgot that info. Yes, rooted hboot 1.4 s-off running MeanROM ICS 2.4. I don't think a device "refresh" will help at all. Mms is working perfectly when I restore the Sense messaging app. It's strictly in the vanilla ICS app that mms won't send. I don't know if there's something the app calls to for mms that the Sense version doesn't or what. I've read quite a bit where this has been tried and hasn't been figured out yet. Just hoping to hit on something with it and get it working.
I'm using the mms.apk from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1640576
I've also tried multiple others from Galaxy Nexus ROMs with no luck. I'm not looking to go AOSP either, just want this one app
Not that this helps much, but I've read others have issues with that app too. They'll get no texts and then a flood of them will come in when they switch back to the sense based app.

Anybody got Sprint Visual Voicemail working on a JB ROM for the EVO 3D? I'm running dastin's CM10 GANGNAM and that's the one thing I haven't been able to get working. I've tried a bunch of different APK's, different flashable zips, and none of them pull my new voicemails.
I never could, so I switched my voicemail to Google Voice Lite. It works on any rom and comes with visual voicemail free. I just restore my Google Voice backup when I flash a Rom and I'm good to go.

I use Google Voice, but there's a link to one posted in the FAQ for mazda's AOKP that presumably works with that ROM. You could try that.

I'm having the same problem, and I've scoured the internet for a possible solution to no avail.
I'm currently using the Jan 13th release of CM10 Gangnam Style, and this version of VVM, on Sprint.
When I launch VVM for the first time, I get "Error V30: Voice message will be delivered when data service becomes available." and something about voicemail-to-text (error T30 I believe). I will get texts from 9016 indicating I have voicemail messages, but none of the messages download to the phone or show up in VVM.
I've tried sending a voicemail to [email protected], after which the phone tells me "There are 2 messages pending delivery". It never delivers any incoming voicemails, such as the test ones I sent myself on another phone.
I have Handcent installed, which has been reported to cause problems, but it is not set as the default SMS app ("disable" under Application Settings)
I've been trying to figure this out for a few days now, and I can't. This ROM is great, I love it... lack of working Visual Voicemail is not a huge deal, but I miss it and would like to see it working.
Some links I've been through trying to figure this out:
http://support.sprint.com/support/a...e-wh164052-20100901-182418?&INTNAV=SU:SP:HDIA (official sprint faq about visual voicemail)

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1844748 (Sprint visual voice mail for CM10 - Galaxy S3 forum)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2082204 (aforementioned Mazda's AOKP for Evo 3D -- cannot find VVM apk anywhere in here or Mazda's website linked within)
http://forums.miui.us/showthread.php?16368-Who-still-uses-sprint-visual-voicemail (I'm not sure what MIUI is, but another thread about VVM)
Nothing I've found has fixed the issue. Anyone have any ideas? The more I think about this the more it bugs me.
I've been trying to get vvm working on the 01232013 VM version of CM10.1 "WILD FOR THE NIGHT" ROM. None of the above "fixes" seem to help. Any ideas?
Dang! Been wanting to try CM 10, I field a lot of calls and Sprint vvm is a must for me and didn't like G voice. Oh well....

I found this and seems to be working pretty good so far. I'm running Mazda's slim Bean 4.1.2. I flashed it and it even provisioned it self. I just had to send myself a voicemail from my phone and it synced up all my voice mails. Only thing is that it still shows the text message from android.
EDIT: i guess it would help if I put the link. Lmao.

Thank you thank you thank you! This version works, just as you said. It provisions itself and downloads voicemails as soon as you send one to yourself. It works on both the Jan 13th build of CM10 Gangnam and the most recent (Jan 19th) build. I wonder what other ROMs it will work on...

For future reference, that's the same version linked in the FAQ of mazda's AOKP thread under the question of what to do if you don't want to use Google Voice. I also referenced in post #3 above.
It hasn't been used as successfully on non-AOKP ROM's.

Flash in recovery. Then wipe caches and reboot.

it can also be disabled through the Adaway app but it is no longer available on the play store, and I don't distribute it.

Correct.
The rest of your question (the part not quoted above) is actually a bit off-topic for a ROM support or development thread and I prefer not to go off topic, but that being said, it seems that T-Mobile may not get the Sense 5.5 until the upcoming android 4.4 KitKat update.
Now, I ask that we all please keep speculation and questions about release dates out of these threads. Thank you

I could make it work but would have to revert back to the sense 5 lockscreen. Not a big deal for some, for others not preferable when its a sense 5.5 rom. So the best answer I can give you is I have no immediate plans.
Is it possible to incorporate the theme chooser or is it limited to cm based rims?

Problem with basic WIFI
First thank you so much for the development. This ROM is exactly what I was looking for. I just traded a G2 for the HTC One so I do not have a ton of experience with this device. I am having very inconsistent results with WIFI. WIFI calling seems to be fine; however, WIFI itself rarely gives the network layer to the phone even when I have an excellent signal. I have tried disabling WIFI calling to see if that is the culprit and the same behavior continues. Again this is a new phone to me so is this a consistent issue with the HTC One? The WIFI antenna itself is significantly better than my last phone's - so it's not an issue with a weak signal. Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Update: I've been reading more and the general consensus seems to be to do a factory reset. I did a reset before coming to this rom but I guess I'll try again. Certainly this is not related to the ROM based on what I've been reading. Thanks again for the time and effort Behold_this.

You might try rebooting your router/modem, every so often mine gets a little finicky
I've searched and cant really find anything about this, but my HTC Email app will randomly quit working. I can open it fine, but it wont let me switch between my Outlook account or my work email. Sometimes I can get it to open emails, but I cant reply to them. The send button just blinks, nothing happens. I've wiped and reloaded, cleared data and cache for the email app, nothing. Seems very odd.
Stock Group MMS not working, sends blank message
So I flashed this ROM a few days ago and it has been working superbly. Super fast and overall plain awesome.
I was sending a group MMS text yesterday using the stock Messaging App with Group MMS checked ON in the settings, and people kept telling me that I was sending them blank messages. My friends are iPhone users but my group texting used to work for everyone before. Any thoughts guys?

Unfortunately this appears to be a bug in the 3.62 base as it has appeared on other ROMs built from it. I certainly can't do anything to fix it, I'm sorry to say. If I come across a workaround or any solution I will post back but for now unfortunately I would suggest you use a different app, or avoid group texts. The new Hangouts app is a great supplement to the stock messaging app now, as it supports full SMS capabilities. As for the stock app there's not anything I can do atm.
I don't know why, but my SIM contacts keep disappearing and appearing at random.
The only mod I have is Bulletproof Kernel, 1% battery, and purexaudio.

Aww that is a bummer. Do you think there is a way to roll back the stock Messaging App to the 4.2.2 version? Would that even work as a fix? Maybe someone has an apk out there I could install and test it out...

You can try the stock messaging app from the tmobile 3.24 release. It should still work. I have come across many sense 5 apps from the Android 4.3 build that work on sense 5.5/Android 4.3 builds, just haven't tried messaging.
The "hold back arrow to kill app" feature, is that a mod or part of the stock ROM? If a mod, is there a way to install it to other ROMs?

This is not related to phone's firmware, software, or hardware. This is due to T-Mobile's crappy network. This started happening to me on 4.1.2, I upgraded to 4.3 and still the same issue. Happened out of the blue, started in October and hasn't been fixed since. It was working perfectly fine since I've had the phone on launch day. Please refer to this thread, there are some Executive Response email addresses you can reach out to on Page 2...you can see some of our templates there.
This is not just affecting Android phones, but Windows phones and iPhones as well.
http://support.t-mobile.com/thread/55846
I have the same username on there. I was reached out to by the Executive Response team. I will be in touch with a "best of best" advanced tech specialist who will get the details from me, and report that information to the networking engineers at T-Mobile to fix this horrible, annoying issue.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but I installed Textra and people are telling me that they are now getting my group MMS. So I am under the impression that the issue is actually with the stock messaging app. I am not sure if there are other issues with the network in your area.

I believe you are incorrect and that it's network related. Like I said, it was working flawlessly for 6 months and the issue started occurring out of nowhere in October, which is when it started happening for a bunch of other people on other phones, not just the HTC One. I had not updated the stock 4.1.2 OS. Please read that thread I posted above on T-Mobile's Support forums. When using other apps, it most likely uses different server configurations and doesn't necessarily travel through T-Mobile's servers. While it might be working now through a third-party app...a stock experience should never be faulty.
