Got my GS3 a few hours ago, but I have noticed something, on the notification bar all I get is a pentagon with a - inside it (don't worry I have a pic)
I was wondering how I can get rid of this, its stopping my notifications showing on the notification bar and is annoying me.
Up to now this is the only problem with the phone, any help will get a thanks.
Are you sure that notifications are turned on? If you scroll through the toggles in the slide-down part of the notification bar, you should see a toggle labeled "Notification". Make sure its icon is lit up green, like here:
Turn on your notifications, pull down top of the screen slide to the right and you will see it

All events?
Or only like SMS and the such?
Are you using any apps (like GoSms) that themselfs trigger/set a LED notification?

And they don't show up in the notification bar either.

Maybe it's the Notifications option that is off, pull down the notification screen, move the toggle buttons to the left and press on 'Notifications'. That should do the trick.
You were right. Dann, I have never used that toggle so I didn't know that it exists. you spared me a new install. thx

Just to confirm, the JB expandable notifications don't work on the DNA?
For example, I cannot expand the Gmail notifications to see the email preview.
Thanks.

That's pretty how it is on any android phone... It just stays in your little bar the top

Do a search in play store, iphone notifications, there is both a lite & paid version. If that is what you want.

Android trys to avoid all things that even remotely look or act like the iphone. This is why you are having issues finding it.
