Hi all,
Long time reader & proud owner of the ST15 (upgraded from the X10 Mini!!).
I'm unable to use data via the mobile network as I cannot save an APN configuration.
I have tried:
- creating a new APN with all the correct details, but when I hit save...it doesnt show up in Access Point Names...(saves it in a hidden menu).
I did however download an APN off/on app via wifi which actually showed all the apn configs I can not see in Access Point Names...when I turn the access point ON via this app/widget the data still does not work :'(
- I have also tried a factory restore on the handset and also applied the firmware via the SE deskstop software to no avail.
Any further suggestions? When I get back home I'm going to root it
- I have also tried to obtain the settings from the Sony Ericsson > Internet Settings submenu to no avail with+without WiFi.
(apologies for the double post, got an error saying not enough characters...).
What model is yours? St15i or st15a? Who is your carrier? Correct me if i missed anything.

Model is ST15i (is there a difference between ST15 & ST15i??), carrier is in AU, handset bought from HK/China(?)
Australia uses 850 don't they? maybe depends on carrier. If you have sk17i, that covers 900/2100 band wich i dont think telstra (popular in au) cover at all. Are you with telstra?
To comment further the mini comes in either i (international) or a (america) has far as i know.

Hi All
I found the fix..
talk.sonyericsson.com/message/96845
I disabled Lock SIM card, then obtained the settings via Sony Ericsson > Internet Settings submenu and it worked.
I have re-enabled Lock SIM card and all is well
Awesome glad it'd work for ya cheers

This is a problem that stems from very specific types of SIM cards (no, not all SIM cards are equal! )
The only known fix so far is the one ST15 found: Disabling SIM card PIN request (and should you need to, enabling it after the APN's have been added).
Well done for solving your own problem
I have same problem with xperia mini pro sk17i, firmware 4.0.A.2.335. APN not saved when sim pin is enebled, when sim pin is disabled all is ok

I have never been able to get into Sony Ericsson > Internet Settings, it says it will download the setting but then a connection error message shows up, even if I'm on 2G/3G which works fine with other apps Is there any workaround for me?

Fixed
Had same problem and fix it by turning sim pin of and then ordering internet parameters from provider. After delivering there vas no apn memorized in phone, so i turn it of and turn it on...THATS IMPORTANT IF YOU WANT APN PROFILE TO Be MEMORIZED IN MOBILE. If you dont have automatic delivery from provider, you make manualy your own internet profile with APN and then turn of phone and turn it on. That helped me...hope help you to...
yeah. this happens to on my mini pro. even after downloading the settings on se>settings>internet
Anyone here knows how to set up Internet access on the Neo V ??
Any help will be greatly appreciated

Try checking the vodafone homepage for your region whether there's some sort of SMS code you can send to get the settings. At least that's how it works for Vodacom (which belongs to Vodafone) here locally.
Well i put in another SIM card of Vodafone and boom got the settings
It works fine now
Hi i picked up a Sony Xperia Tablet Z this week, it's on Vodafone UK Network.. But check this out, when i inserted my 3 network Sim the tablet did pick it up... i did mange to send a text and receive a text too, but when i tried to surf the internet it would not connect..
First i was getting no internet icon, then a minute later it did get the H+ logo.. But still my Sony Xperia Tablet Z would not connect to the internet.. it kept saying no data connection.. So i'm wondering is my tablet unlocked ? or isn't it unlocked ? how do i find out ?
Thanks in advance people..
Sorry i'm bumping this thread up, can anyone advise me on my first post ?? Also i how do i root my Sony Xperia Tablet Z ?
I think it might be a problem with APN. If SMS works, data should work likewise. Try going into Settings, Xperia, and Download Internet and MMS settings. Or you SIM might be blocked for tablets. Check that with your carrier.
About root, use VRoot...

Hello !
So, I have an Android tablet made by Allview ( TX1 Quasar is the model) and right now I'm in Austria and I bought a Delight Mobile (which from what I've heard is owned by T-Mobile) with 5GB of data but I can't use any of it. First I'm sure I have data 'cause they (Delight Mobile) sent me a message in which they told me that I have 5GB an so on.
From settings - mobile networks - network operators I've chosen T-Mobile 3G and I've also set the network mode to GSM/WCDMA automatically. The 3G sign appears next to the signal status lines in task-bar but for some reason it doesn't work.
I've also set two APNs, one was webuk.mundio.com which didn't work and the other was from a friend who lives in Austria ( I'm from Romania btw so I'm sorry for my broken english, I'm not used to it ) but it also didn't work. Now I don't know what to do or why I can't get my 3G to work. Any ideas ? Do you know any APN that will work here in Austria for T-Mobile - Delight Mobile ?
Hello, I need advice. I got into my hands the new S6 EDGE model SM-G925F, everything looks like a perfectly fine, but the phone is not registered to the network. After a brief testing I found that if you manually switch to GSM only and the phone connects to the network and are running normally. If you select any other option and not (call, SMS, net). Vodafone CZ SIM in Czech Republic. (LTE on Xperia Z3 running) .. Any tips or advice ?? Thank you
