Is that so?

You could have done this (downloaded a rom & extracted the file) about 30 times in the 8.5 hours since you made your thread/OP rather than sitting there waiting for someone else to upload something you're more than capable of getting easily yourself.

First, use some punctuation man!
Second, yes, you need to extract the .rar file. How you do it is up to you.
Third, you can try these APN settings here:

Could be doing something rookie here. But in mobile oden when I try to open files into the modem section I can't see the .bin file. Should I be able to or is .bin meant to be used some other way?
OK found out it has to be called modem.bin for it to work!

Request for keyboard apk

I'm wanting to try the new jellybean keyboard from the Note 2 on my S3 and would appreciate if someone would upload the apk for me. After trying the demo out and seeing the number keys locked @ the top, I wanted to try it on my phone but didn't want to download the entire ROM, just to try it. If someone would upload it, I would appreciate it.

Thanks, I have the tar downloaded but don't know how to extract it either. Root explorer wont do it. I believe its just the samsungIME.apk, but I'm unsure if there's another that goes with it or not. If you can pull that from your phone, I would appreciate it. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the help. I downloaded it but it will not install, there may be a lib file that goes with it, to allow it to install or just be incompatible. I'll have to do some research. Thank you for the help.

I figured that out, after opening the apk. I did download the deodexed version from one of the ROM developers and it installs, but force closes instantly. The files are different, in a few aspects but I'm working on some lib files now. Hopefully that will work...........

[Q] Need help flashing kernel for htc amaze 4g

Hello, I have an HTC Amaze 4g running stock rom and on ics. I am trying to flash the faux kernel but when I try to flash it using 4EXT it starts the process then says
(Status 7)
Installation Aborted.
I dont know why it wont flash and have looked for help everywhere but they all say the same thing. Can someone help me? Also after I flashed the kernel the first time, my wifi stopped working does that have anything to do with it?
First thing to check is, are you S-ON? If so, is smart flash enabled?

I am s-off currently, and smart flash is enabled
Hmmm... I would try re downloading the kernel and seeing if it could have been a bad one before. Other than that someone more knowledgeable will have to help you. Sorry I wasn't more help.

I think I figured out the problem, when I redownloaded the ics kernel from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1359951
not all the files where being downloaded to my computer, I am missing the flash.bat file and I think others. Do you know where else I can find this ics kernel with all the files.
http://faux.androidro.ms/ruby/ics/
Here you go.

If the download from faux's page doesn't work I don't know what to tell you. It'll take someone with more knowledge than me to help you. Sorry

Uninstall any download managers and download accelerators you may have and try downloading it again. Also try using a different browser such as Firefox or Google Chrome

i don't think you need smart flash if your phone is s-off.. smart flash is for flashing the kernel without s-off.. disable smart flash and try again

Is the S.O.A. download not working?
I know there was a host issue a couple weeks ago, can't remember name right now. In development and you may have to go to page 2, the Sons of Android ROM kicks bootie. Maybe check last couple pages, someone may have a mirror or ask for one. Same with BlackStar X or XI. If you post and don't have response when I get off work, I can probably link it to my Dropbox.

sammobile.com has the ROMs reuploaded now. Go there and get your odin flashable ROM.
Edit: they have 4.1.2 uploaded but not 4.0.4 yet, sorry.
