Verizon Galaxy Note II SCH-I605
Android Version: 4.1.1
Rooted and using Jelly Bean's Build 7 since January with no problems.
I've used this phone for everything imaginble since rooting it without an issue. Tonight it started an endless reboot cycle.
I wiped the cache and delvik cache. reboot loop continued.
I restored to a backup from February and it seemed ok, but it only lasted about a minute longer than before it rebooted and started the reboot loop again.
Suggestions? Please? Help? I love this phone.
same here; it kept rebooting
I have been running Beans v.21 for a week with NO problems. Last night it started the reboot loop. It doesn't really reboot the phone, it seems like it is rebooting the GUI. I tried clearing cache but that did not help. I ended up having to wipe and re-install. Now I am kind of afraid of this build and would like to find a more stable one. I do not mess up much with my settings. I just wanted a lite system without bloatware. I do not want to go through setting up my phone every week.

Hi!
I have a rooted s-off Evo 3D GSM running on CyanogenMod 10.1 - Android 4.2.2 - Jellybean - Unofficial up to date as of 20130331.
I was running the rom for about a week without any problems.
Yesterday the clock on my home screen (cClock) and in the status bar stopped at 8pm tho it was about 11pm. The clock on my lock screen was accurate.
I rebooted the phone via the power menu and expected a boot loop.
Already tried to wipe cache and dalvik with no success. Although I reflashed the same rom. Same boot loop.
Any ideas?
Is there a way to boot up in safe mode from power off?
Many thanks!
Cheers

I had something similar happen with the CyanogenMod 10.1 - WILD FOR THE NIGHT - Apr. 8, 2013.
Everything was fine then after a reboot, it would not get past the CM logo.
I recovered by formatting the Data partition. I did not even have to reload the ROM. I just had to re-setup the phone.

I did some more digging and if I see the problem again I will be trying the "bootloop fix" from the following post. I wish I had realized it was intended for this issue before...

Many thanks. Just saw that fix, but didn't try so far.
Anyhow, I booted to my 4ext recovery and did a backup of my system and data partitions. Then I recovered a backup full backup from last week and readded the apps with nandroid manager from the recent backup. Worked fine.
Same should be possible with Titanium, but didn't have a current backup with it.
Cheers.
Well This has happened to me since Galaxy Nexus I515 (Verizon). I basically I do a clean Flash to the original android roms. For a while it works fine, out of no where System UI Crashes, and it is never able to recover until i wipe everything. This isnt the first time i do not know if it is coincidence, but it happened to me since the Galaxy Nexus.
used Droid Bionic first and never had this problem. I got the nexus because my bionic broke. on the beginning of the Nexus i that didnt happened, but after one rom (I forgot which one, but i got it from here[XDA forum] ) I've flashed this started to occur to every rom.
this is happening again with my Galaxy S4.
Any suggestions?
Here is what I do before flashing
using TWRP
1. Factory reset
2. Cache reset
3 system wipe
4 dalvik Cache wipe
5. flash rom
6. dalvik/Cache wipe
Please let me know if I am doing something wrong

Hi, I'd really appreciate some help. After rooting my phone I noticed it would take like three minutes to turn on and I've been having that problem for a while now, but recently I upgraded the firmware on my phone by flashing the kdz of it and since then I've been seeing "optimizing apps" every time I turn on/reboot my phone. I tried factory resetting it, and that worked UNTIL I restored the nandroid that I had made before resetting it. I then decided to wipe the cache (including the dalvik) which worked. I had never wiped the phone's cache before that. I rebooted and no problems, but they came back the next time I rebooted. So.. Yeah... Any ideas? TIA!

My Note 2 is rooted/bootloader unlocked with CASUAL. Running Beans stock 4.3 ROM. The phone worked GREAT for over a year but a few months ago, apps began to close randomly and the phone would reboot frequently.
So I decided to wipe the phone and start over. I have done this twice and the issue persists. The last time I wiped the phone, I flashed the stock recovery and wiped it multiple times (wipe cache & factory reset).
Then I reflashed the firmware, the ROM and the radio.
However, the phone is still rebooting several times a day.
I have tried 4 different batteries and it doesn't make a difference.
Any ideas? Is there a way to determine if there is something physically wrong with the phone, i.e. bad memory or processor?
Thanks

Odin back to stock and see if that helps. If it doesn't then it's hardware related.
i am having the same issues, is there a fix?
Running No-Name ROM for 5+ months.
OTA downloaded 6 days ago.
Moved OTA file to Ext. SD
Disabled Update with debloater.
All was fine until yesterday... Woke up to dead phone battery.
Tonight, the LG shutdown sound woke me up!
When I looked, the phone had rebooted itself into TWRP!!!
Apparently, this will happen nightly now in perpetuity unless one of you geniuses can fix it.
Try wiping Dalvik & Cache. Maybe fix permissions.
Also wouldnt hurt to update TWRP.
Or try a new Rom.
Did all that. Running latest TWRP already. Won't know if it's fixed for 24 hours.
