Hello. I have another phone and two weeks to revive this bricked phone (if it is possible).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At first, i flashed many roms and kernels while trying to find a very good non laggy rom. After flashing (i don't remeber what, but created for gt-s5830i phone) i rebooted my phone and infinitive booting started. I have a lot of experience to revive this "****", but nothing helped me.
Actually, the main problem is Can't mount /data and after flashing firmware via Odin on reboot i see something like "Applying multi-csc".. and later error about "cannot mound /data" or "cannot find /data"... something like that... And still infinitive booting (known as boot loop)... In any method of Odin flashing the same result happens.
on CWM i also can't mount /data (/system, /cache, /sd card... no problem, just only ****IN /DATA!)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am pretty sure (or mabye not ) you will tell me something about "fast reboot" program/command tool on windows. I found some info on google/xda about similar (or mabye the same) problems, but seems nothing works...
Two problems:
#Mabye I don't know how to use it on bricked phone, I can't connect to pc...
#I don't have any CWM backup :/
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hope you guys help me

You need flash a Bootloader file on odin, check S5830iXXLA4, S5830iOXXLA2, place "DefaultCalDataWithBoot" in bootloader and flash !

Can't boot.
Today i flashed AndrWook 2.1 and set it to wipe my internal SD but it couldnt boot. I used a lot of time to push another ROM to the device but with no luck.
used WSG Unbricker to try save it (i had recovery before i used it) I formatted everything and tried repair it with the complete unbricker options but that didn't work. I dont know but it looks like it just cancels when i try do it. So i tried manually flash the /boot /system and /recovery from wsg unbricker using fastboot. Now i can't get any recovery installed
My internal SD is formatted. I can't get to recovery and i can flash a new one using fastboot but i dont have a option to boot into it. I have only bootloader now with the 2 options: Wipe data and USB protonol (fastboot)
So now im screwed I'm shaking all over and panic! I really hope someone can help me
EDIT:
If i install the ASUS .28 firmware again from http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=20&s=16&m=Eee+Pad+Transformer+Prime+TF201&os=32 will i then boot? Or will it hardbrick it?

Hey I managed to fix my problem by installing the universal drivers provided by 1wayjonny re installing twrp and pushing the rom via adb whilst booted into the recovery.

I had the same problem as well using TWRP. I fixed it by installing the naked drivers as well, adb push sdwipe then flashing the zip. Then I adb pushed the ROM again reflashed then all is well now.

I am using a rooted Atrix ME860 without CWM recovery. (USB Debugging mode is off)
2 days ago, in an attempt to enable multitouch in my mobile, I edited touchpad.cfg located in system\etc\touchpad\22 using root explorer following some guide found in internet. (I did a backup before editing it). After restarting the mobile, the screen became irresponsive to any touch. I did a lot of searching and finally, I tried to make an update.zip to place back the back-up touchpad.cfg in android recovery mode. However, it failed every time when come to signature verification. (I tried 5-6 type of different signer app, java script etc and made over 30 update.zip but all failed)
With my limited knowledge to android phone I did an external hard reset thinking all would be done, but the screen is still not response to any touch after that.
Any suggestion guys?
Thank you.
You can't use stock recovery for custom ZIPs, only for officially signed ZIPs.
Hard reset is also irrelevant since it doesn't touch /system at all.
See here, maybe it helps: http://cleanimport.xda/index.php?threads/1813668/
try to update through fastboot. do more search how to?
or try to flash cwm recovery as a start.
any way your phone not bricked, the last resort will be flashing sbf but u will not going through it.
Thanks for replying.
I checked the link. Seems that guy with the same problem could not solve the problem..

Yes.
After searching I unlocked my phone and installed CWM recovery and a CM9 unofficial ROM found in this forum. Thanks for the help.
The touchscreen problem was solved but there is another new problem..
My phone failed to mount the internal SD card. I tried to mount it in setting -> storage -> mount SD card (under internal storage)
Nothing changed except a notification about SD card safe to remove appear. (This notification appear each time after rebooting phone too)
I tried to mount/format SD card/emmc in recovery but got error. Reflashing CWM and ROM also didn't help.
I tried most solution found in internet except the relock then unlock method as i have no idea how to do that.
Thanks for any help again.
Hello Everybody,
my boss got me a Galaxy ACE S5830i in order to test some app development and I immediately managed to root it and install a custom ROM.
These were the steps I took
1- I flashed the update.zip I found around the web, for example here -> http://www.theandroidroot.com/root-install-cwm-recovery-samsung-galaxy-ace-s5830i/
2- I flashed CWM 5.0 and immediately, without rebooting, saw the new Recovery. So it really did install!
3- I updated to CWM 6
4- I flashed thunder kernel in order to make the CWM permanent -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335947
5- I rebooted the phone in recovery mode and got the CWM. Everything was fine up to now
6- I flashed a ROM (after wiping everything). Actually, several roms. I tried first with CGM, then with Aroma and Retribution Beta. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1806471 All of them managed to install but none of them works. What ALWAYS happens is that the ROM installs, then I reboot and the phone does not go past the Samsung Logo. Then, and here we come to the weirdest part, when I reboot in recovery mode in order to flash another rom... I get the stock recovery! No CWM, no customizations!
What's happening, in your opinion? I tried to flash a custom ROM with Odin as well, but being on Linux I had to use JOdin and could not manage to flash anything because (as it ALWAYS happens with JOdin) I was not able to load a suitable PIT file. No success with wine+odin as well.
Please, could somebody help me? I can't use my boss phone, and can't return it to him until I get a working ROM on it
Thank you in advance
P.S. When I get to the Recovery I see some rows to the bottom:
-- Appling Multi-CSC --
E:failed to mount /system (Invalid argument)
E:failed to mount /system (Indalid argument)
and (I know 'cause I tried) I can't mount or format the /system partition. Maybe it's related, maybe it's not...

Hello,
thank you for answering.
I can temporary get to CWM recovery for sure, but I don't know how to push the erase_image file (that I found) to the device. I'm only able to copy files on the SD, using another phone, and then flash them from CWM. Is there a way to make adb able to detect the device even when it's in recovery?
Thank you

Are the ROMs you tried based on CM7/9? Because if they are, you need to format your system partitions to EXT4. You can do that with the multi-formatter.
Also, you say that you have your stock recovery back. Check the ROM zips that you flashed for any boot.img. If there is, check which kernel and which version. Some older kernels still have stock recovery.
As even stock recovery cannot mount /system, clearly your system partitions are corrupt. Format with the multi-formatter and flash a CM7/9 based ROM or flash back stock firmware via Odin.
If you choose the multi-formatter, remember to flash a kernel afterwards. And if you prefer, one with a permanent CWM.

How did you make it?
I also want to know it, because I have similar problem!
My friends gave me his phone, because it unfortunately didn't want to boot.
I tried to reflash it with stock firmware, upload goes OK, but then when it install the ROM, it says "failed to mount /data (invalid argument)".
I tried flashing also with .pit repartition and splitting the one ROM file into separated PDA/phone/modem...
I also wanted to try to flash custom recovery and then custom ROM, but it doesn't want to mount SD card also
EDIT: Solved! Look at this guide
After flashing open australia FW (including bootloader and pit re-partition) phone is working again!
Then just reflash with yours correct firmware
