The screen is more pixelated and visibly has less colors. For instance on YouTube, the screen flashes from white to light blue and everything is pretty low resolution.

[Q] Help! Screen colour fading plus banding on gs2

I am using a galaxy s2 GT-I9100
Last night I decided to go back to the original ROM. When i turned on my phone and got to the "desktop", i found that the colors were faded into an unnatural white and that the banding from darker images was terrible (might be due to the fact that the screen is lighter).
I have tied changing the Colour/Screen Profiles, i have tried reflashing to the original ROM and also to the one i was using before. Nothing works.
What bothers me is the following: before doing any of this (when the phone was working fine) i made a back up. Now, when i restore that back up, the weird white and banding dont go away...
Can anyone please help me?
i am about to panic! please help!! :'(
Could it be hardware? :/
I am noticing a decrease in performance aswell....
sniff....

[Q] t989 screen has darkened a bit - what can I do?

I have a Galaxy S2 T989 that I have rooted and have been trying different roms. Yesterday I reflashed it back to T-mobile 4.1.2 and after I changed my battery and rebooted it got hung up. I did a hard restart and the screen display darkened a few shades. Now my display is not as bright as it used to be. What happened? What can I do? Brightness is up as high as possible, auto brightness is off, and auto tone is off.
Wrong forum buddy.

White screen Clone Galaxy Note 2 S7180

I have a phone from these clones Galaxy Note 2. On the phone the only thing is that it puts the S7180 model (apparently this is a UPAI, but not sure) and I'm not sure because the screen lights up and goes white. As I saw that this problem may be due to the screen resolution, I installed the original ROMS both QHD model as VGA model. All goes well, the FlashTool tells me ok, but in both cases the screen remains white. I tried with both options FlashTool, the Firmware Upgrade and Download. Nothing, the screen remains white. Is there any way to know the screen resolution or the exact model. Thanks and greetings to all.

[Q] Black shows as red. Colors compromised on I9305?

Hello.
I've been using my I9305 a while now with a 4.4 OMNIROM.
Everything was fine until I let my girlfriend borrow it to use the gps for a trip.
She returned it and I noticed the colors are strange. All the blacks went greyish, and gradient colors werent smooth but showed artifacts.
I thought it was a setting but after factory resetting/wiping everything/changing rom the phone still has strange colors, even the green boot android icon seems abit light.
Here are some screenshots showing the same pictures on my phone (the samsung) and a functional HTC. You can see the artifacts and the distorted blacks.

Is it possible she dropped it and damaged the screen/matrix?
Is it possible that some connector to the lcd/digitizer got slightly disconnected? (maybe i should try disassambling)
She used several apps (tomtom, navigon) that have nightmode (screen altering modes), maybe its stuck or damaged.
Please help

Seems like a hardware problem to me. I would try and watch lcd replacement videos to see if the screen is correctly plugged to the motherboard.

Pixel flicker when turning on screen ? Video Below. Return?

Wondering if any of you have a flickering of your screen when you press the power button or turn on the device. I notice in the top left of the device some pixels light up before an image is shown when turning on the screen. I'm still within the return window so I wouldn't want the device to have display issues down the line.

I have the S1 and have never see one part of the display light up before the rest, have you tested the screen,
Download a screen test app and go though the colors in a dark room, you can normally increase/decrease the brightness just by dragging your finger up and down the screen, check for any inconsistencies in the screen, a low brightness light gray shows up a lot of problems.

I returned that unit to Costco and bought another. Didn't want to risk it going bad later.
