Thank you all very much - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

Unfortunately I must bid adieu to the i717 community as I bought a Nexus 4.
While I didn't post much, I want to and feel obligated to thank all the great devs both past and present, as well to all the members here. You have made my experience on the Note a memorable one.
Thanks

Thank you all for your work.

so i wanted to shout out a thanks to all the devs.
they have been asked for ETAs, and i wanted to just thank them for their work they have done on the mopho so far and i look forward to what magic tricks they have in the future.
I think they are amazing for the work they do. I would be lost without them, and they are amazing people to take a product, and tweak it to make it an even better product. I truly thank yall everytime i pick up my phone.
I think everyone needs to take a look at how many android phones are out there now and how many users the devs are supporting. its truly amazing when you look at the numbers. Android Rocks!
Thanks again devs!

I sense no sarcasm and I'm the king of it this seems like a genuine thanks

Yep. And I will second this! THANKS!
Being my first Android phone, and not a junkie, I am looking forward to seeing what can be done with this thing and maybe even digging in a little myself as I check out what our devs do!
I will second that as well.
I just came over to the Photon from an HTC Hero. I picked up the Hero on the first day it came out and would have jumped ship long ago if it had not been for the dedicated hackers who made this phone so great.
My Hero lasted two years because developers spent their time pulling apart and putting together new ROMs. If the vendors supported their products a tenth as well as their developer base does, just imagine the kind of phones we would have. Support your developers with a donation. They deserve it.
+1 hero user here too! My Hero is still in service, handed it down to my mother.

[Q] Franco Kernel for the TFP

I asked Franco if he would support the TFP since hes done a great job with the Galaxy Nexus. He said he would but did not have a device to develop with.
I made this post to see if there was an interest in this and to see how many were willing to donate some money to help him get a TFP to start development for it.
Might be too much to ask but wanted to know if there was a demand. If there was then maybe we can pool together. If not I have no way of knowing if there was even a possibility to do so.

I tried doing the same thing for JoelZ and **** hit the fan and didn't work out. I think it is an amazing gesture to devs and definitely worth a few bucks, myself.

If I've helped you in any way... hit the "Thanks" button.
These bounties are rarely a good thing. It creates expectations from the people that donate and undesired pressure on the developer. If he buys one himself, I will happily donate.

Moved on to bigger and better things

I thank all of the developer's that worked on our S5 and I really appreciate all your hard work. I hope all works out for this device. I personally wasn't happy at all with it and couldn't wait to get my upgrade. Well it happened today and I'm a proud owner of the Nexus 6 and love it. I might need to get use to the overall size but as far as functions and build quality can't beat it that's my opinion. On that note peace and love folks. And Android onnn

Thank god. I'm tired of reading comments by you *****ing about problems no one else has had.
What a lame ass thread. No one cares that you don't kno how to operate an S5 and bought a new phone. Just STFU and move on in silence.

(Know one else has) learn how to write moron. And as far as complaining/ *****ing about problems that I had that's funny seems to me a lot of people had the exact problems that i had. That device is pure garbage so get over it and enjoy your piece of junk. Good day

Believe me son, I know way more about these devices than you'll ever know. Can't help the (fact!) That the S5 has multiple issues and (I) was unhappy with it, as a huge amount of others with any common sense where too. Ones that know about quality of build and performance. Good day
@ShinySide you can stick it where the ShinySide don't shine pal... Have a great day @ShinySide

thank you G6 users.

I just wanted to say thank you to all the helpful people in this forum.
I've decided to move on to a different phone. I went with the Pixel 2 XL.
I can't thank Mark Benze enough for all his hard work with the themes for our phones. Take care everyone.
You're welcome.

Did the same. Just could not understand why the bootloader is unlockable for certain models and not for others. I gave my G6 to my wife and she is very happy with it. it was the best phone i ever had and i had many.
Sort of a "meta" observation-- that the comedian Louie CK has said before me in one of his stand up routines-- that we have these smartphones that are absolutely amazing and magical inventions that are both useful and enjoyable to use yet we whine about them when something doesn't work perfectly... We need to remind ourselves to be grateful more than focusing on the minute shortcomings. Yes I agree that updates are important and that the G6 cameras could be better than they are and it would be fun to be able to root them...but it is still an amazing device (as are many other models) and there does not exist the "perfect" device, not at least for a reasonable price. There are necessarily trade-offs in designing a product which we have to live with.
I say this in a friendly spirit, not in the sense of criticism of anybody here...theses forums exist for people's enjoyable discussions and contributions and we are all appreciative of that.
Just saying we ought not to take ourselves too seriously!
