Hello. I have a simple question:
I found a guide to root my Samsung Galaxy Grand i9080L with Odin and a CWM for i9082 (CWM-touch_i9082_chotu.tar.md5)
The guide says this CWM file works for 9080.
The question: rooting won't accidentally brick my phone not by chance?
What should I do if at any moment in the rooting process something fails?
Thank you.

Just a quick note to say that the Ace S5839i can be rooted using the same method as the S5830i
Retribution Beta 3.5 also flashed without any problems. Phone model is now listed as a S5830i after flashing the ROM
Thanks to all involved for your work.
Hi. I've rooted mine ok. How did you flash the rom? I can't install cwm.. Says device not recognised. Any advise would be helpful.

Hello, I have an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300, and I'd like to know if you could help me out on getting proper instructions on how to get it rooted? I've read about using Odin3-v1.85.zip and CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4.zip but I don't know if the method is outdated or what, thanks!
This forum is for Verizon. If you have the international version you should ask here:

Agreed. Moving there.
i used odin Version 3.0.4 and cf root 6.4. you'll find that on xda

Hi. Does anyone know what I need to download to root my i93000 (International) stock rom?
I'm currently on the latest firmware Jelly bean i93000XXELLA. I know how to root just lookng for the correct file I need to flash in ODIN.
I've tried searching but can't find the answer. I wasn't going to root this phobe but want to so I can get my ps3 controller working wirelessly.
Help much appreciated.
The correct naming is the i9300.
Please use the search function, there is a universal root method.

Just download the Rom file from this thread. All you need is the pda file on odex version. Please flash using Odin. Instructions are elsewhere. Please make sure you read detailed instructions before using Odin otherwise you may end up with problems.
This will not increase the flash counter. Please note that this method only gives you root and no change in recovery (stock)

Search for "Triangle Away". This will reset your flash counter to 0 and should remove your warning. Also, the SuperSU app by the same author has the ability to fully restore to stock as well.
please read this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_III/GT-I9300
and this link http://m.ibtimes.co.uk/galaxys3-i9300-unroot-official-firmware-reclaim-warranty-466933
maybe you can change the s3-i9300 to your own device.
that links work for me on s3. gain real unroot

I have a completely stock AT&T S3 and am wanting to transfer all settings to a rooted and unlocked AT&T S3. I want to also get the latest Android for both phones and be able to unlock and root the stock phone after transferring everything.
Can anybody walk me through the steps for the above procedure?
I'm somewhat familiar with TWRP, less ADB and ODIN.
Thanks in advance for any help, I appreciate it.
