Hi Guys,
I was just searching across how to install CWM recovery in Canvas 4 but couldn't find any so thought of posting it here for anyone who is new and needs it.
Requirements: Phone should be Rooted.
Where to Get CWM Recovery for Micromax A210 Canvas 4?
Recovery Thread link & Mirror Download link REMOVED on request from original uploader!
Flashing Instructions:
Download the CWM Recovery available in the above thread, extract it from the rar file and copy it to the ROOT of you SD Card
Open Play Store and download Mobile Uncle Tools
Then launch Mobile Uncle Tools and Click on Recovery Update (See screenshot)
Then Click on the first recovery that it show, with location SD Card (See screenshot)
And apply it.
It will ask to reboot, do it and you are done.. :good:

Is there a way to install cwm recovery without having to switch on the phone? My friend bricked his phone(tried installing chainfire3d,as if its needed) and it's stuck on boot logo.... he hasn't installed cwm before that.....'so how can i install cwm? i havent found any method that would help me....... waitng for ur reply...... PS:im not able to install a custom rom either(with stock recovery).

The other way to install this is using SP Flash tool, we use it on Micromax A110 so not sure whether it will work for A210, you can try and check..

it works fine...mine was also bricked and it didn't boot..use SP Flash tool it will certainly work...

Opened mobile uncle tools and flashed it
If was very easy

my tecno N7 got bricked while trying to install font, i've tried formatting from recovery mode but its stucked on the tecno booting screen. Pls any one with the type of phone tecno N7 kindly do nandroid backup and upload the files for me please. Or the rom files so i culd use scatter emmc for it. I mean the original

if you have a nandroid backup, then you must have a custom recovery. please how did you do this and which type of custom recovery Clockwordmod or TWRP

all that wont help. you have two options
1. Flash the system.img from stock
2. Use Auto Font Unbricker (google it)

hey dude i have flashed the cwm through odin...but i don know how to get into recovery...3 button combo doesnt work....also i don have adb installed in my latop....but odin flash is succesful...

hello mytbone the 3 button combo works in some device(s5282)and doesnt in some devices(s5282)...because of the baseband only this problem occurs...if u r using the updated firmware the the 3 button combo works...if u r using the older firmware then the 3 button combo may or may not work...

that explanation makes the problem easier to be solved...you may then try flashing the latest firmware before applying the cwm update. i use

so downloading 500mb file from hotfile.com without interruption is nearly impossible for me..

I Have A G-tide E52 ,, I Rooted My Phone And Then Got Wild Removing All Unwanted Apps ,, And Deleted My Home Launcher And Replaced It With ADW Launcher ,, Everything Was Going Good Till I Had A Problem And Did Factory Reset ,, Now I Can't Boot In ,, All I Can Do Is Fastboot ,, So Can You Help Mee?

EDIT2: I Googled A Little And Found That The Solution For The Boot loop Is Deleting Cache ,, I Deleted Cache With This Command ---> " fastboot erase cache" ,, But I Ended Up With The Same Boot Loop But With A White Screen! ,, I Know I'm All Messed Up :crying:
EDIT3: I Flashed A Boot img I Extracted From The Rom I Used Earlier Now I Don't Have A Boot Loop I Just Have A White Screen,,

Follow ths steps
firstly download cwm recovery for cyanogenmod 10.1 and
download cm 10.1, first flash cwm.zip and again flash cm10.1
also.then you will recover your phone to cm10.1 os.
(Or)
If u want to install custom rom download your custom rom and custom
recovery and flash custom recovery and then custom rom.then your phone can recover.
if you want to install adw lancher and uninstall original lancher then your
download titanium backup. apk and uninstall original lancher as pre install app
and install adw lancher and go into titanium backup and convert pre app to post app
then the app is convert as a app in rom
and do nandroid backup it is useful.

Try Re-locking your bootloader or flashing a recovery using Android Ultimate Toolbox Pro by despotovski01 If that dont help ill upload a bootloop remover tool for you

I Tried Both Of Them! ,, but didn't work! ,, please upload this bootloop solver although i don't think that's the problem ,, i mean i already did "fastboot erase cache" and "fastboot erase userdata" and even "fastboot -w"! ,, what could be the problem!

Ur right. I never knew that that vroot was harmful. I been using that for my spreadtrum phones and it works fine. I use it cuz I can't find the drivers for those devices. That program helps my PC recognize the devices. I am here to help..I know how frustrating it is to find solutions on here, so I'd thought I'd help. Thanks again!

I have Canvas HD a116 with the 4.2.1 (official :updated from MMX service center).I want to root my phone .I have tried to root by motochopper method which is used to root Canvas HD 4.2.1 ..but to no success.I believe that the SUbin method isn't valid for 4.2.1. Can anyone provide any other alternative method to root??

Framaroot is really very easy...now having rooted my device I want to install custom roms ..which are the best for my device(cyanogenmod shows device not compatible).How to customize the phone overall??

Install CWM recovery
Download recovery image
Place the CWM recovery image in the root of your sd card. root means just open the SD card and place it there itself do not place it inside a folder or sub folder.
Then install mobile uncle tools from playstore.....open it grant su permissiion and now click recovery update option....u ll see that recovery image which u had copied in sd card...click on that click install....and it will automatically install CWM..

hi brothers.
by looking in the market i have found one copy of karbonn a1+ duple its calle Vi-wa V1 it have same specs exept ram showing 226 and internal memory 120mb rest its all 100% same i have tried many things to add cwm but failed in fact we need to request some experienced and advance members of the xda crowed to help us out because its in use and coming out aloud lets hope someone will stand forward to help us to get custom recovery and some custom delicious cooked roms the thing is comparing to chinese android phones this phone is wayyyy much better in looks and performance and price is very very good.hoping to get some good news from members.

Guys I suggest you to pull out your stock recovery.img and upload it to http://builder.clockworkmod.com and start building custom cwm recovery. If you are succesfull then download the newly created recovery.img and flash it. Hope it helps

yup i got dumb its not going back to orignal its bricked no recovery mode but some how its booting normal

Oh that's exactly similar to my case. My Karbonn A1* recovery also bricked but boots normally without problem. This happened to me coz I flashed a custom recovery of A1+ thinking that it was for a1*
If you find out any methods then plz let me know.

there is no way to find stock recovery i have tried all weekend we have to live with it bro its gone so lets beat it and next time buy samsung or htc LOL

if ur device is rooted download shuame flashing tool on ur pc n try from that u can go to stock recovery even iff there iss no stock recovery by this u can reset ur device

tried but cant handle the dam language issue its awful to use the software but looks pretty good waiting for English version but thanks anyway
try sp tools and download firmware of karbonn A1+duple and flash it it worked 100% for me now i got back my recovery mode and super fine
Is your device a Mediatek device?
If yes then search, download and use yuweng's ctr recovery port tool
Works on all mtk device
