[Q] SU update - HTC Desire X

I've updated SU app and its want to update brainy from recovery so booted into recovery and nothing happened !! how to update brainy

Download flashable zip from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053
And flash it in recovery. The binary can't be updated in the phone directly, maybe it works with prototype kernel for JB, not tested jet.

You have to flash the SuperSU file from recovery to actually be rooted.

Download the "CWM flashable zip" and flash through Amon-Ra.
Indeed, you need two things for root.
The su binary, which is in one of your system folders.
And an app like SuperSu to manage root access for apps.

How to get SU binaries and busybox?

I just unlocked my DNA. I then installed CWM Recovery. I checked the All Things Root thread, but the files that are to be used in CWMR have been removed from the website they were hosted on? Where can I find these files now? I'm looking for the SU and busybox files that I flash in CWM. Thanks in advance.
Rebooting system in clock work should prompt you to install them
You can just flash a custom rom or download superuser from the market

Thanks. I just ended up installing a custom Rom that was rooted with su installed.

[Q] How to install TWRP update

I have TWRP 2.6.0.1 and I checked the TWRP website 2.6.3.0 is already out. I downloaded goomanger and clicked menu then install open recovery script it downloads it fine then flashes message that it was installed. So then I reboot into recovery and I notice that my TWRP has not been update but is still on 2.6.0.1. I wanted to ask can I just download the 2.6.3.0 file then put it on my sd, boot into recovery then flash it?
firmware 4.3
Google Edition 3.2 Android Revolution
teamseven-gpe4.3-kernel-v2.1.5c
xposedinstaller
Help
ok now goomanager finds the 2.6.3.0 update and it downloads it then it flashes message that it is installed then I reboot into recovery and TWRP is still on 2.6.0.1 why is that?
Manually flash it

yeah but it was hard.
first upgrade to unrooted .402 (flash .402 with flashtool)
then run easyroot v5 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2784900
i had to do it twice for some reason
next install dual recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785598
it should boot you into recovery after install, if not something went wrong
i think dualrecovery should install the ndrutils app, but if not get it from the play store and set your recovery to twrp
then download supersu from here and sideload http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
when prompted to update binaries, select twrp/cwm and then load into twrp after reboot (vol down i believe), go to reboot your system and you should be prompted to fix root on reboot
your binaries should then be fixed
