you flashed a 4.1.1 rom? oops! there is no SDS fix for those f/w-s. did you factory reset from recovery mode?
use normal fonts please.. such huge sized fonts with such an odd color are disgusting!
Can you get into download mode [ H+P+V(up)]? Were you trying to flash a 4.1.1 stock rom or were you on 4.1.1 and trying to flash another rom? If you could get into download mode, try flashing a 4.1.2 stock firmware from India using Odin first. It might help.

Your efs folder is corrupt, delete the contents and paste your backup files in the empty folder then reboot.

i dont think so that u are that much genius to rply my quote, u should be knowing that if am able to get into recovery mode than am able to get it into download mode also, and one more thing u should know that my backup is in .tar format if i place it in the efs folder nothing will happen dude. and i have already wwritten above that i have lost my efs folder how am i able to delete that
have you tried to factory reset your phone? in recovery deleting data and cache will usually allow the phone to boot
Just delete your entire Storage and install your ROM .
You need to learn and understand a few genius basics before you can go any further, a .tar is simply a container of other files, download mode is not going to restore your efs.
Search this forum for the hundreds of other posters who fixed the exact same issue you have, I don't have the patience.

1. excrat your ussrv5.zip with root explorer or do it in pc.
2. now look for META-INF folder.
3. after that if you have any other custom rom which also have kernel in it than excrate it from it and put in this ussrv5.
4. and if this ask to overwrite than do it and again compress to zip and put it back in ur sdcard and install it

Hi there newbie here (this is my first reply),
I had that problem also the other day, what I did is to reboot the phone and wipe the data and cache. did it a couple of times. After that I waited for the phone on boot logo, the screen turned black and I still waited. After an hour or so the phone successfully have gone to the home screen.
hi guys, i have came here to ask for some professional advice since i am completely stuck.
i am new to android and custom ROMS. I did my research into how to install custom ROMS to my android though made a mistake.
I basically wiped my phone from the:
"ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO DO THIS:
no
no
no
no
yes
no
no"
.... its now stuck on either stock recovery mode or on the screen where it shows the colorful S and the words Samsung GALAXY S II screen.
What i did
I installed clockworkMod to my android since i wanted to directly install the cyanogenMod from the clockwordMod app. i watched some you tube tutorials and did some research on how to. I followed the steps up until it was time to install the CyMod. i cant access my phone anymore to be exact but an error message along the lines of:
E: cannot install this ROM
E: another failed install message
installation canceled.
(sorry it vague, i struggle to remember the exact messsages)
So i tryed it again and the same error messages came up. previous to this stage i had taken all the backup recommendations though due to a ...Mistake i wiped everything off the phone from the example above thinking it was a step before installing the new ROM. and now im here...
I assume this is a very noob thing to do but...well everyones got to start somewhere.
my phone does not get recognized by my computer so cant transfer files into it and reboot like that so i have no idea how to get it back?
any advice or help would be great.
thanks.
**EDIT**
i am also able to access Download mode (if this helps for a solution)

im not too sure how i would do this.
i can enter recovery mode and the options i have are :
reboot system now
apply from sdcard
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
so i chose apply from sd card and the list is:
../
update.zip
update1.zip
.adc/
.adobe
ETC
but there is no 'clockworkMod' backup folder or anything which i would assume the backup is stored!!
the update.zip and update1.zip is the CyMod that didnt work (failed to verify whole-file signiture)
?

Power your device off
Boot into Download-Mode using Volume Down + Home + Power
Hit Volume Up to accept the warning
Start Odin
Choose "GT-I9100_ClockworkMod-Recovery_X.X.X.X.tar" as PDA (no repartition)
so i clicked:

and it opens in winrar with zImage thats all. no .tar file to use with odin.
will one of these files be ok?

Hello, I got an SGS3 i9300 with stock rom now, and it is stuck at boot logo of Siyah Kernel, When i enter into Recovery mode, i try to mount EFS and get this error "Error Mounting /efs!" is there a way to make it work? Because i try many roms, i follow a guide to install a Stock ROM that i have now the latest for my country (Spain) without luck, is there a solution? Thank you.
Hi there,
just a stock firmware via ODIN.
you can find download here:

I already install a Stock rom, i got a EFS Backup, but i can't put it, because i can't go into the phone it don't boot, it stop at Siyah Kernel boot logo.. And i can't mount EFS folder cuz of that..
Try a factory reset/data wipe from the recovery.

So after trying to completely wipe my GS3 and put it back to Stock before selling it, I think ive somehow managed to delete my current ROM and now cant boot.
It can enter recovery mode (CWM) and enter download mode and flash other recoveries throw Odin But I cant load a ROM back on.
I can't access the SD card and can't mount: /System, /preload, /external_sd, /sdcard
I tried sideloading throw ADB but it cant detect the device and Kies did recognize it when I tried a "firmware upgrade and initialization" but refused to work because of its 'current version' (or something like that)
Are there any recoveries that could help? can you flash a ROM directly throw Odin? (i cant seem to find any that work), how do I fix the storage mounting / folder tree?
i9305, CWM recovery v6.0.2.9 and was running CM 11, dont have any usable backups.
Thanks:good:

Why? Odin files overwrite it so whatever you flash before flashing stock rom with odin gets wiped...Also I mentioned it so that the op would not get confused not to have a go at you .
Ok dude
Hello,
I was trying to back from CM to stock rom on my Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i.
First I used a ODIN 3.09 found on XDA, but this failed writing rom to my phone.
Then I used v3.07, flashing with rom worked for me, but phone stucks on bootloaders startup logo, no contact over usb to PC, nothing happens.
So I tried wipe all data from phone memory, repartition using PIT file found on XDA, write bootloader (also from XDA), system image from sammobile.com, nothing helps, only i can do with phone is launch download mode, nothing more..
Please, can somebody help?
I'm attaching bootloader and PIT that i used to flash my phone. ROMs that i used - S5830IXXLC2_S5830IPRTLC1_PRT (originally this was on phone) and S5830IXXLB2_S5830ILUXLB1_LUX (this matched with bootloader i was found)

What firmware that you used it for your phone currently? Maybe XXLK1 will help, I guess. And also don't tick repartition if you using pit. file but unless if you using it. Just optional as you wamt to use pit. file.
