So after trying to completely wipe my GS3 and put it back to Stock before selling it, I think ive somehow managed to delete my current ROM and now cant boot.
It can enter recovery mode (CWM) and enter download mode and flash other recoveries throw Odin But I cant load a ROM back on.
I can't access the SD card and can't mount: /System, /preload, /external_sd, /sdcard
I tried sideloading throw ADB but it cant detect the device and Kies did recognize it when I tried a "firmware upgrade and initialization" but refused to work because of its 'current version' (or something like that)
Are there any recoveries that could help? can you flash a ROM directly throw Odin? (i cant seem to find any that work), how do I fix the storage mounting / folder tree?
i9305, CWM recovery v6.0.2.9 and was running CM 11, dont have any usable backups.
Thanks:good:
Go to sammobile and download the stock rom to your phone. If you want to put your phone totaly stock flash the stock recovery too

Why? Odin files overwrite it so whatever you flash before flashing stock rom with odin gets wiped...Also I mentioned it so that the op would not get confused not to have a go at you .

Thanks that seem to work, now all I have to do is reload a different rom and I should be good to go correct? Or do I have to reflash clockwork recovery or anything else?
Thanks

ODIN will not remove the update.zip so you can add a ROM and then go into clockwork then flash and your good to go. Try out Toxic or the new D9, there awesome.

Yes, you will have to re-flash recovery. If you have the update.zip on your SD card already (like ransz28 mentioned above) then just boot into stock recovery and (using the volumes to navigate and the power button to select) click on 'Reinstall Packages'. It will cycle a bit and you will see that yellow text again then it will return to the stock recovery. Select Reinstall packages again. You are now in CWR. Now you can flash your new ROM
If you get lost, don't have an update.zip, or want a step by step guide on flashing a new rom there's a guide for that to... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=849028 Just start at "GREAT, I AM ON JFD NOW - HOW DO I ROOT?"

thnaks, but i got problem that "cant mount sd card"
try this it worked for me
1.have your nandroid and custom ROM on the internalSD.The wont be touched by a format.
2.Boot to recovery and go to Mounts and Storage and format System,Data;Cache
3.Go back and wipe battery stats.Go back and do a Factory reset.
4.Reboot your device.
It wont boot properly cos you have formatted the system so pull the battery, put it back in and boot into download mode. Now flash via Odin the Official LPQ firmware that you can download from SamMobile and root with chainfires CF kernel. Now flash your custom rom

Okay so I am stuck on the recovery screen. I have rebooted several times and I have ended up in the same place. I also chose wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition. Some one help
ya know, some steps of what you have done before hand will probably help, what rom did you have, what have you done etc etc,
So either you have sticky buttons or your gonna need to re-flash a rom, but as we dont know wether you mean recovery or cwm recovery this post is about as much help as a chocolate fire-guard in all honesty,
If you are on CWM download a connect your phone up via mounts and storage put the rom on your phone and install it via zip,
if your stock by the sounds of it something went bad...... try grabbing a rom from samfirmware and flash it via odin.
usually happens if you format system partition, if you dont have a hardware issue simply flash stock ROM using odin
I already flash stock rom but im still stuck at the android system recovery e3
Download mode and flash a stock rom . Boot it to run and let it set up .
jje
Is Kernel_I9100DXKL3.tar.md5 a stock rom sorry im noob
No its a KERNEL .
jje
Example of stock rom? GT-I9100_DXKL3_original??? sorry i need you help
If you are on CWM download a connect your phone up via mounts and storage put the rom on your phone and install it via zip,
This option is there in CWM but we cant mount it, I tried many times...
So it is always a good idea to keep your running custom ROM zip file on your SDcard undeleted, to flash on the emergency even while you are on the go...
yesturday only my son fingured my phone and got non stop FC...just flashed ROM again but bootloop, flashed again after Factory Reset...worked.

I am in the same situation, stuck on the CWM Android system recovery screen. My Kernel is fine, I entered it not realizing I couldn't get out because my home button hasn't worked in over a year. I've tried resetting with the power button, and the power button + down key, but it always comes back to this screen. All I need to do is select the "reboot system now" button but without a Home Key I can't select it. Any way around this?
hi guys, i have came here to ask for some professional advice since i am completely stuck.
i am new to android and custom ROMS. I did my research into how to install custom ROMS to my android though made a mistake.
I basically wiped my phone from the:
"ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO DO THIS:
no
no
no
no
yes
no
no"
.... its now stuck on either stock recovery mode or on the screen where it shows the colorful S and the words Samsung GALAXY S II screen.
What i did
I installed clockworkMod to my android since i wanted to directly install the cyanogenMod from the clockwordMod app. i watched some you tube tutorials and did some research on how to. I followed the steps up until it was time to install the CyMod. i cant access my phone anymore to be exact but an error message along the lines of:
E: cannot install this ROM
E: another failed install message
installation canceled.
(sorry it vague, i struggle to remember the exact messsages)
So i tryed it again and the same error messages came up. previous to this stage i had taken all the backup recommendations though due to a ...Mistake i wiped everything off the phone from the example above thinking it was a step before installing the new ROM. and now im here...
I assume this is a very noob thing to do but...well everyones got to start somewhere.
my phone does not get recognized by my computer so cant transfer files into it and reboot like that so i have no idea how to get it back?
any advice or help would be great.
thanks.
**EDIT**
i am also able to access Download mode (if this helps for a solution)

im not too sure how i would do this.
i can enter recovery mode and the options i have are :
reboot system now
apply from sdcard
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
so i chose apply from sd card and the list is:
../
update.zip
update1.zip
.adc/
.adobe
ETC
but there is no 'clockworkMod' backup folder or anything which i would assume the backup is stored!!
the update.zip and update1.zip is the CyMod that didnt work (failed to verify whole-file signiture)
?

so farfrom the first link you posted - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1118693)
Power your device off
Boot into Download-Mode using Volume Down + Home + Power
Hit Volume Up to accept the warning
Start Odin
Choose "GT-I9100_ClockworkMod-Recovery_X.X.X.X.tar" as PDA (no repartition)
so i clicked:
Downloads
ICS - 5.5.0.4: Download <=
and it opens in winrar with zImage thats all. no .tar file to use with odin.
will one of these files be ok?
http://www.filecrop.com/gt-i9100-ClockworkMod-Recovery.html
does it have to be 5.5.0.4?

Downloaded the new Clockworkmod Recovery from ROM Manager only to find that I could not back up to the external SD Card. So I tried reverting back to an older version (v5.8.4.0) and try backing up again to the SD card.
My phone booted into what appears to be a broken version of CWM where none of the volume and power buttons work correctly. Pressing the volume down only makes the screen scroll down. I can't select anything at all. I can boot into download mode but Odin doesn't recognise my phone. Should I download Samsung drivers and try to flash a stock ROM?
This is really stressing me out as I'm afraid I might have screwed my phone up! Any help is greatly welcome.

Have you flashed back to a stock Rom?
Yeah I have.
Then I suggest rooting with auto root and flashing philz recovery after and if it still won't see the card then you might need to format it.....and personally I always do that in the phone.
Hopefully a clean install, with fresh root and recovery will get it going again, fingers crossed
