I am using sony wt19i bootloader unlocked and rooted.. as bootloader is unlocked I cant go for the official update of .587 firmware.. so I downloaded the file and flashed it..I flashed it properly as it shows in settings that build number is .587 ... but I am also having the official update of .587 firmware simultaneously..
the rom which I want to flash requires .587 firmware.. so should I install the ROM or relock the bootloader and go for official update first?

Just go ahead flashing the new custom rom
And never do an ota update like that on an unlocked bootloader. Just flash the firmware using flashtool
Btw why did you open up 2 threads with exactly the same question?

U can flash .587 by flashtool or you can flash this by cwm

Hello
I wanted to know if i can install MIUI in my neov without unlocking my bootloader ?? I knw bootloader needs to be unlocked to install custom ROMS ..but is there any way out ?? :O
Thanking you
I don't think you need for MIUI V4 (ICS) because it's stock based and it works on stock kernel. So update to official ICS with flashtool, then install recovery and flash MIUI.
there is in Spanish?

Hey everybody, I just have a question about the bootloader, can I flash firmwares thats in a ftf or using update service when I have a Xperia U with unlocked bootloader using the sony method? Or do they just talk about when you update your phone using the update center app on your phone? Im just curius cuz I dont want to brick my new phone.
You can use flashtool, but NOT SUS or PC Companion. If you update with sus/pcc u will brick.

Ok, can you provide me with some FTFs?
You can find stock rom ftf's in ROM development section
btw you can always relock your bootloader if you want to update via SEUS

Flash. 587 kernel

Hello guys, if there's already a guide please give me the link.
I unlocked my xperia neo v bootloader and installed custom kernel and rom but now I want to flash back to stock 4.1.B.0.587 firmware.
While flashing do I need to exclude kernel since Im already on a custom kernel??
And after flashing how do I root?? Same method as I have done while bootloader is lock??
I need step by step guide

if u have made a backup of your phone before flashing custom kernel or rom than just simply do a restore via cwm...or if dont have any back up than dwnl the stock ics frimware and kernel and flash them using flashtools..
If u dont have any problem then just Relock bootloader . And use SUS for stock ...
Then unlock BT again ...

No he doesn't have to relock bootloader..coz he doesn't need SUS
Sorry for troubling you guys, i already done it, the reason i want to flash back .587 firmware is because i installed a rom which is based on .587 firmware but i installed that rom in .431 firmware and because of that there is some bugs. So, i want to flash back the stock .587 firmware and reinstall that rom again. but i appreciate it.

Im a XPERIA U user. And I want to know noob question. I have B.54 NORDIC ROM. But B.89 has latest kernel. So Can I flash B.89 latest Stock kernel to B.54 ROM using flashtool.?? I asked this, because B.89 FW has many bloatwares than NORDIC ROM.
I'm not going to ROOT or UNLOCKING the BOOTLOADER.
Yes, you can flash .89 kernel.

Also isn't b100 a later kernel

You can flash only stock kernels and you don't need to root. You can flash .89 and .100 kernels.
Custom kernels can be flashed only on unlocked bootloader.
Flash b10 first. Root. Then flash b100
