DZK's CM7 is amazing, check it out. Just downgrade to the version suggested (2.3.4 I think). It runs great

I tried it and some apps that i had on stock 2.3.5 aren't compatible with the rom apperently

I have tried side loading but i use apps like instagram and thats not supported. If i side load that app. They will say i need to update that through play store. Same with other apps

Bootstrap and android recovery use a different script to write the files so it won't work

Alright so i am on the 211 leak and I am rooted. So all I need now is a recovery so I can do some mods my phone. Can anyone post a link or give me instructions to install a custom recovery?

Open Google play press options / settings turn of auto update.. That's it!!
So I flashed the Arctic HD rom and installed the 1.x update and for some reason I have 2 galleries? How can I remove one of the galleries its really annoying having 2?

You need to install the apk file which you can download directly from the developper:
