Hello, It's been quite long since i've changed a rom and I don't really remember which rom im currently using but the battery life and speed is not very good but it didn't really bother me coz I didn't need to use the phone that much, but now I need to use it quite a lot and I want to change a rom and I saw that there's new unofficial JB rom and I wanted to ask how is the rom/JC stock and if someone can recommend a good stock+custom rom that works fast and saves battery life, thanks for the help.

I use CodeROM v2x-2b for daily use. Stable and fast and stock look (which i like).
But in the end its always a matter of personal preference.
Cheers
U can flash plain xwkpn, it,s fast and stable. And very good battery life compared to custom roms and its official Samsung multi csc firmware so there will be least issues in performance.
U will find a tutorial to flash it. (Xwkpn Spain) ..
Use original stock ROM
In my opinion, if you want to use your phone as a daily use phone, just leave it as is. Simply use the original ROM, less problems. In case of something happen, service center will take care of it and if it is covered by the warranty, You will probably be free of charge (condition apply).
But it depends on how the "daily use" requirements, Back to the personal preference.
For me, eventhough I use the phone for daily use but I want to explore how my SGA does with some custom ROMs. Just to get a feeling of "WOW" when I get something more from my phone.
Again, it back to your preferences.
Regards,
Tamhaeda

Just try different Versions. Otherwise you wont find the ROM you want to find.

From my experience, u must decide how u prefer using your ace. If u want fast it may cost your ace battery life, on the other hand if u want your phone to last longer it will cost u decreasing your performance or killing running background app event just using only 2g network.
I'ts all about how u configure your phone to meet your needs, roms just a way to get better operating system for your ace, different people, different needs.. So they will offer u different roms..

Hello everbody,
My girlfriend has a galaxy S2. Now she want to flash her phone to a custom rom.
Now we want some information what is good for a galaxy S2.
For the S1 i know what I need, but the S2 is new for me.
Who can tell me about this phone. Which kernel do i need and which rom is good with low battery drain?
Thanks in advance from both of us

Well, first of all you say flash a ROM to your phone, not flash your phone to a ROM.
That said, if you're looking for a close to stock experience, with a tweaked ROM you could try this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1312240 . It was released yesterday and was the merge of two ROM proyects, both which I tried and liked. SO you will go risk free with that one.
I personally am on CM7 and like it over anything but it's not based on samsung firmware so there is a downside. For example you have to renounce to all samsung apps like the samsung camera which is great and polaris office (which was really bad for me), but besides that it's all great. CM7 is fastest than any samsung based ROM, smoother, etc... Just a little bit harder to flash it for the first time.
Sorry, was not good english. I changed it.
I will look at that, I maybe found something else.
Is this a good, stable rom without much battery drain?

I really don't know about that one. Anyway, trying it cannot do any harm, maybe you find yourself with a great ROM.
Well you right. There are not so many roms for the S2. I hope some people with a S2 with custom rom can tell more about the roms and the kernels...
yes, it is a good rom but what kind of custom rom?
gives us what you are looking for and we can point you in the right direction.
Hello,
She is looking for a stable rom with low battery drain. She does not much with the phone. Sometimes little games, call, sms, whatsapp. She also like a nice design.
Hello, I haven't been realy playing around with my Prime since i got him[almost a year] and was realy messing around with my phone [ Galaxy Nexus AOKP JB1] but now its time to enjoy my tablet to its full.
So i will be happy to recive any recommendations about the best rom currently out there, i have noticed there isnt even 1 official updated rom from AOKP or CM or else i wouldn't have opened this thread.
Im gonna add HUBS later[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqHNUU0uadU] so i just need a fast half clean-vanila and half customizable ROM.
TY!
p.s i have searched the forums but latest WHATS BEST ROM thread was from 201... so..
Go to the development forum and check out androwook and energy. Both are fast and stable! I use energy atm, nice eye candy with no lag.
Does it have alot of customization options? like statusbar/navbar icons/transparent/color etc?
and TY for the recommendation i might try Energy tomorrow
tbh, i haven't messed with ui tweaking that much. Energy's UI is visually completely different from stock or really any other rom i've tried.(While keeping the speed!)
I am sure you could flash in any tweaks you want to make later... but again, this isn't my specialty.
Well, I know that you users will probably hate this kind of post, but I don't know anything about this phone and the roms it has, so to make the long story short, my brother had a SE LWW and gave it to my mom, I just wanted to know a fast and stable rom to install, just that, nothing too fancy, is for a person who doesn't know anything about phones, I think I can take care of the rest.
Thanks you very much in advance.
Well tbh stock ics rom is already fast and stable. Bugless for me, but memory management could be better. For the "moms", stock is quite good
I'd root and put walkman on it (xperia s version runs quite fast on our device, anything newer seem lags). There you have it! My own version of fast and stable rom.

Thanks pal, I just installed stock ICS. Everything seems fine.
Hello everyone,
I'm contacting you because I need an advise concerning my s6 edge. I have this phone since two years and I would like to change the Rom but I don't know which one I need to install. I want a Rom like the Samsung one on nougat or Oreo. I want one which is optimize and better than the original one.
Currently I have some issue with the battery life and I think that is due to the multiple software update.
Thanks for your help and advice.
I just need the same information. What's better nougat/touchwiz based custom rom for battery life? I know it's just a 2600mha but I'd like to enjoy the maximum time of use with it. Thanks
Once upon a time in xda people helped
I installed super stock s8. It's a good rom. If you want to increase the battery life you can go to screen option and choose full HD.
