Mine works fine! Did you check the battery life against performance bar in advanced WIFI configuration! I always put it to maximum performance and never had any problems with my connection!

Have since two days now the POMP W99. So far all great, but I have the following problem:
If Wi-Fi is on and the screen on the W99 is "locked", whether manually or automatically after xxx seconds, the phone can not be awakened, and must be restarted by removal of the battery.
If WiFi is off, there is no problem.
Also, the W99 hangs up from time to time when wireless is switched on and off.
What can it be? Anyone knows?
How to search for errors systematically?

Also, have you find a CWM recovery for this phone? Mine has just arrived... I don´t have the same problem as you do...

Just suceeded building (using MTKDroidTools) a cwm custom recovery for our POMP KING W99 (MTK 6589T with 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM - don´t know if it works for other versions... Here´s the link: http://www5.zippyshare.com/v/44916064/file.html

I can´t make GPS work on mine... Already configured everything with faster gps, enabled gps EPO and downloaded data on settings. don´t know what to do anymore...

Have flashed your boot.img pn my phone, but WLAN is sucking also. So i think the problem is not the newer kernel.
Will send the phone back and wait for a new one. Let's see...

Yep... Tested GPS again in a more open space and BAM! It´s working!! Now I´m finally satisfied with the phone...
I´m sad to know that you couldn´t fix your problem... Hope they change your unit for a perfect one...

Hello again... Sorry to hear that...
NOTE: It seems I have fixed my issue with Apparently, it was a contact problem with the gps antena on the back door of the phone... Had to put a few layers of paper under the golden contacts, so the antenna could reach the contacts on the board... everything is working now... At least until now... Will run some more tests...

Another thing... Is it possible for you to build a TWRP recovery? I like them more and the backups seem to be a lot smaller then with CWM...

I really need your help on this one... I was trying to flash TWRP and now I have lost my IMEIs and baseband says unknown in settings... I´ve searched here at xda and they said I can only fix it with a mtkdoidtools backup... The thing is I don´t have my MTKdroidtools backup anymore... I´m really lost... Would you please post here a full MTKDroidtools backup for me to fix my phone?

Yes! Everything is more than OK! It's perfect! GPS OK too...
I found a tool here at xda to port twrp for mtk6589 devices... But the ported recovery size was larger than the recovery partition in the phone... So, when I flashed TWRP It messed up something... My imeis and baseband were lost... But I've fixed everything with the mtkdroidtools full backup of another pomp w99 user and a tutorial here at xda...
So, if you plan to port TWRP, be aware of the size limit, or you will have a region overlap problem and may loose your imeis and baseband...
And don't forget to make full mtkdroidtools backup!

Recently I got a Motorola E XT-1021 with Kitkat4.4.4, and unfortunately the Wi-fi wasn´t working, when I put it on, it auto-deactivates.
I´ve been searching for hours, and a solution was to put the file WCNSS_qcom_wlan_factory_vn on the persist folder, but it didn´t worked for me.
I´ve already rooted and rebooted, and fabric reseted... but nothing...
PS: Before I obtained the cellphone It was from a friend of mine, and It was working well, but after I reseted it, the wifi stopped working
PS2: Sorry If my english is bad, It isnt my native language.

I found that there is no MAC address inmy Wi-fi nor Bluetooth.
So I´ve read that it could be something about the IMEI, because we factory reseted the cellphone and instead of putting my friend´s SIM, I inserted mine.

And for that IMEI issue .. try flashing radio files

First of all don't lose hope
Now see if your imei issue is solved
If yes take a backup of efs partition and keep it safe
Now install cm12.1 build by clean installing
And see if it helps

I installed CM12.1 and the issue wasn´t solved... Neither wi-fi or bluetooth.
So I tried CM13, and same.
Any idea? :,0

Can you please check with AIDA64, CPU-Z, or an equivelant app?
I have a suspicion that the drivers in the official version aren't functinal, and that the drivers in the unofficial version are subpar, which is to be expected with Realtek.

This is probably due to missing drivers.
My recommendation is trying out Phoenix OS, or trying to find drivers for the MT7630E which are built for version 4.4.x of the Linux kernel (if you decide to go this route, you may need to compile the drivers yourself).

here also was not connecting, try to go into security mode and connect to wi-fi then reboot normally and the wi-fi will already be working It worked here, I hope it works for you too.

You're going to have to give more information than that. Specifically:
what custom ROM
custom ROM's version
Android version
What modifications you have installed
the model of your phone
It would also be nice if you could provide a logcat. And rather than creating a new thread, post this question in the thread for your specific ROM.

Same phone as you, same rom - I created that config file months ago and it still works.

Sorry @SuperQvas, but I don't have an answer. The first time I installed Resurrection Remix on my LG G5 the WiFi worked fine. However, I recently installed it again a few days ago (version 5.8.5) and the WiFi has been spotty. I am able to connect, but the connection frequently drops, and is quite annoying at times.
Try posting in the corresponding thread. If you can find a solution, please let all of us know!
EDIT: Looks like autoprime has a fix! Next time I install RR I will try out the fix.

However, I recently installed it again a few days ago (version 5.8.5) and the WiFi has been spotty. I am able to connect, but the connection frequently drops, and is quite annoying at times.
Try posting in the corresponding thread. If you can find a solution, please let all of us know!
EDIT: Looks like autoprime has a fix! Next time I install RR I will try out the fix.
