Xperia Z Ultra Black India Customisation Number - Sony Xperia Z Ultra

Could someone in India with a stock ROM on their black Xperia Z Ultra please post their customisation number and sales item details as per this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2287283
Many thanks!
Note that the number does not uniquely identify you or your device, just the variant (e.g. black and with an Indian ROM). As such, it is safe to share this information.

Yes. Un branded Indian Xperia Z Ultra.
It works. I got the appropriate upgrade through PC Companion.

I am currently on Taiwan .510. So if i change the build.prop with this CDA for India, and then "Repair" the phone using PC Companion, will it download and install the Indian firmware?

Yes, so long as you relock your bootloader.

Any changes in indian firmware? can you Post screenshot of build number?
Gesendet von meinem C6802 mit Tapatalk 4

Yes please screenshot if it's not too hard

The only difference between the Taiwan and India version would be apps Sony has bundled in.
I switched specifically for one app, which is missing in the Taiwan version - the Sony Music app, which gives you six months of free access to Sony's music catalog.

Yes, just the stock apps differ. It's also useful if you need to claim on your warranty in India...

A in build number means it is un brandad, and generic.
B means it is branded to some carier and is not generic.
SI number is just sort of customization ( have or not have playstation, sony movies, music etc) depends which country does support it.
Generic or not dosent depend on SI.

I already have, the Italian one.
there doesn't seem to be any UK ftf's anywhere? In fact, there doesn't seem to be many ftf's at all, considering there's 100 si numbers listed on the official list, which hasn't been updated in ages!
It seems my Sig pic doesn't only apply to the Xperia S....

1. I agree, I haven't seen any UK FTFs or updates, I've the Sola. UK/Ire didn't get many of these phones or very quickly if you ask me. I had to buy mine online from Germany.
2. As for the change between B/C, I'm not too sure, some guys on here are very familiar with this stuff and can figure out the change very quickly. I hope one of these guys find this thread to tell us.
3. Interesting that it was registered a few days after the previous one. I noticed this happen just before the ICS release, another Gingerbread software was made available, but to select regions.
I've got a UK unbranded Xperia U, I flashed the french build though and don't want to go through the hassle of changing. I might do when we get a new update, if I do then I will upload a generic UK FTF. I've got the UK Generic Gingerbread FTF if people want that then you can upgrade to ICS yourself.

I'm not sure but C versions end their update for some android version A-alpha B-beta
C is for them stable android version without bugs, but if they found something again they will update but mostly we won't get more updates before we get jelly bean.
It may also stand for C-customization with is specific firmware optimized to work on specific networks.

Well I've been using it and lets just say at least it wouldn't lag compare to .10
At least I can just let the phone run on without restarting. The .10 was like a total junk, after 24 hours I have to restart it no matter if I used something like v6 supercharger. At least now I am satisfied.

It might be easier making your own if you know how to?
If your already rooted and you can edit the build.prop file and change the customisation number to that from Three. Then reboot your phone and connect to PC Companion or SUS it will say update available and download the three firmware files which you can convert to ftf.
That's what I did with my O2 handset and it worked perfectly.

Canada z2 Phone update..

Coming from Samsung this is kinda confusing the firmware thing.
So basically I have a bell Canada z2 which has the firmware attached on the photo. Could I update it to a latest software or that is the one? I'm rooted already.
If I could update it what files do I use? What are the chances of bricking? Thanks

Flash the latest ftf fimware for Canada, which has been posted on here already. Instructions on flashing are posted here as well.
I told you mate…
Download latest ftf and flash it through flashtool
You can use generic rusian for that, just exclude baseband files from flashing…

This is not reason. Using flashtool to flash newest firmware. Or maybe you will never receive any update in the feature.

Its called Sony PC Companion. Go to settings > xperia connectivity > USB connectivity > Tick the install software button. Then if you plug your phone in, it should prompt you to install the Sony software onto your PC. Install it then check for an update that way. It should say you have an update available.

Should do it. Rooting should not prevent checking for updates/receiving OTA notifications
The answer is because Bell Canada's and a few other carrier branded phones is still on 17.1.A.2.55, so PC Companion for instance would say you are up to date. As other have mentioned, use the Flashtool and flash your phone with a generic ftf which has the latest version.
I would say flash Canada generic (which I uploaded which is in the firmware sticky) as I am using the Canada firmware, then you can have the latest update of 17.1.2.A.0.314.
I have to add as well that when you flash the newest one you will gain crazy good battery life! I am on Bell Canada, and the newest firmware runs awesome!

Bell and everything is working, not rooted at the moment, though I was before flashing. I have just never unlocked.

As I have recently found out.
The Canada Generic is actually a US Generic. Will probably have to start changing names soon to not confuse anything.
