Since you said you did a NAND, had you already unlocked with Regaw's method?

How do you do a nand backup before gaining root and installing a custom recovery?
That I don't know. You might be able to temp root but I never bothered

NAND backups is the entire partition being backed up through a recovery, you need some sort of nand unlock to be able to rewrite the recovery partition and install a recovery that is able to do a full backup.
In short, you cannot do a nand backup of your system ROM, instead use something like Titanium to backup your apps since that is the most time consuming part to do manually.

Advice with O2 RUU + other questions

Hi. I'm in one of those boat situations.
Rooted my international UK hox+ which is on O2.
ENRC2B_U_JB_45
CID O2___001
Build 1.17.401.1
HBOOT 1.35.0000
Radio 3.1204.168.32
Just wondering if its possible to restore using someone else's nandroid backup from a different but same cid phone?
Tried to extract the rom from the O2 RUU but rar/7zip won't have any of it.
Also wondering if there are RUU updates in the future that will sort me back to stock? If so it it just a matter of time?
Sorry for bringing up the same thing you keep hearing about but just wanna settle my head. Thanks

I have the same problem and I have been posting all over this forum trying to get help.
It would appear that either there is no solution or nobody knows what the solution is.

Yea. Have a very good friend giving me advise.
should be able to push the firmware.zip 0.35 through adb sideload.
Will let you know if I get it sorted. Just after stock for a nandroid back up.
its what we get for not making backups :x

Perhaps, I am a bit confused.
I do have a nandroid back up, but the version is showing hboot 1.35 and this is apparently why I am not able to run the Stock RUU even after I have relocked the bootloader.
I was under the impression that when I originally did the rooting etc, this changed my hboot version from 1.30 to1.35.
I have already bricked my phone once and it cost me heavily so I am now very cautious not to do the same thing again.
All I want to do is return to Original Stock.
At the moment there are only old releases of ruu which won't work, cause of newer hboot. If someone provides a backup you will have success, but most Users don't share their backups. I opened a thread for backups, with less success
Gesendet von meinem HTC One X+ mit Tapatalk 2
Was thinking to try push firmware on it. Or will O2 throw a RUU in the future? If they ever.
I have a nandroid backup that I did before flashing the updated ROM onto my phone.
This backup was done just after I had unlocked and rooted my phone.
What action actually caused the updating of hboot ?
Was it the unlocking of the bootloader or the rooting ?
Because if it was neither of these actions, then I have a nandroid backup that has the original hboot version.
But, unless I am failing to carry out some other action when trying to return to stock, my present hboot version is 1.35.
Do any of the Developers read this thread or Experienced people because I would like to know what action actually updates the HBOOT version ?
Is it the Unlocking ?
Is it the Rooting ?
Is it the Flashing of an Updated ROM, like AOKP Jelly Bean 4.2.2 ?
For a new person like me, this is a learning curve and it is interesting to understand what actually takes place.
did anything happen with this? Id like to go back to stock, purely just to wipe the phone clean, but the o2 uk ruu fails saying wrong version. my hboot is 1.35.0000 radio 3.1204.168.32.
Is it possible for me to get back to stock?
is there another way of wiping the phone clean?
You have to use a backup.
Install a clean one , install stock recovery and lock your phone.
Thats all
I opened a thread a couple of month ago, but nobody provides backups ...

[Q] Desire X stock RUU

I rooted my Htc Desire X accordingly. But i did not make a backup of my original rom before. Now i cannot find stock RUU for the model. Please help. My phone is not getting restored to factory settings and WI-FI fails to turn on. And also boot options show but dont work. Urgent help needed.
If you have a European cid you have a ruu ! For the rest of the places I guess you need to restore a nandroid backup which you'll find in the forum !

Like expected, you cannot revert to stock using RUU. You have to use an ICS backup form users, and in your case krishna.kowshik has it and published it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40541546&postcount=102
Thank him!

Reverting back to my previous stock ROM and applied jelly bean update
I downloaded Nandroid Backup from the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2210619.
Here I installed TWRP in my mobile in order to get my stock ROM back (boot loader again unlocked here).
in sd card TWRP folder I copied these files. in sd card root folder I copied MissingGoogleApps.zip and STOCK_recovery.img_Installer.zip.
in TWRP recovery mode I restored Nandriod backup files and flashed MissingGoogleApps.zip successfully. But when I tried to flash STOCK_recovery.img_Installer.zip its failed. i extract recovery.img file from this zip. Then in fastboot mode I flashed this recovery.img file.
Then again I relocked the phone and rebooted. Now phone is started with my stock ROM.
Getting official JB update
here I followed below procedure.
1. Unlock Bootloader.
2. Flash Stock Recovery : Tutorial - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...26&postcount=2
Use the stock recovery.img attached here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...20&postcount=1
3. Recheck for Software Update and Download the update.
again i relocked the phone and applied the update.
Now everything ok.

Nobody ever say that STOCK_recovery.img_Installer.zip is to be flash in recovery.. that is an installer for user who is not familiar with ADB command... it is to be extracted on PC then run the installer batch file after your DX is connected to PC in fastboot mode

Hi, My dad's got the One X+, and i dont know what he's done, but its got no radio whatsoever, and its my job to pick up the pieces. He's got the indian version, so im figuring the nandroid you've made will work. Does the nandroid include Radio, baseband etc? If not, can you point me the direction of an RUU, as most of the ones ive found have broken links, and download stops halfway.

Reset to Stock/3.10.502.2/No S-Off

Hello all,
I usually don't like posting new threads as you can find all you need by searching, but I believe I have a particular situation.
I rooted my phone a while ago using the appropriate methods and then flashed this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2440315
I didn't recognize until now, as I am trying to return to stock rom and stuff in order to clean install the new official AT&T update, that this rom somehow also updated my firmware to 3.10.502.2 but I am not S-Off. I didn't/don't know how it upgraded my firmware to this w/o being S-Off but it is. So I have read that if I try and install any other stock rom than my touch screen won't work. And in order for that to work, I think I'll have to gain S-Off and then flash an earlier firmware then flash a rom, but I don't really want to be S-Off for this phone.
Also another stupid mistake I did was not create a nandroid backup of my stock everything before flashing
So in order to accomplish my goal I believe my 2 options are to either gain S-Off, flash an ealier firmware (like 1.26.502.12) and then flash a stock rom or I saw a link that had a stock nandroid backup: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2272893
that I can maybe use to restore but will this restore my firmware too?
Any help would be appreciated
Download the 3.17.502.3 RUU and update that way. Backup your data, the RUU method wipes internal storage.
