Wi-Fi Problem after installing Cyanogen 10.1 - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I installed the CyanogenMod 10.1 that comes with Android 4.2.2. The installation went smoothly but I have a problem with the Wifi connection, the problem is that the phone does not see my network when scanning for available networks. I have tried to specify it by myself but with no luck, I also tried to remove the password but still my device cannot see the network.
I am stuck here.. so please help me.
More info:
- Previous version was the official 4.1.2 version and everything was working.
- The CyanogenMod version I installed is an RC version.

I havent checked the RC .. may be a bug.. why not try a older nightly (I guess 13august was the last one

I solved the problem, I have read when searching that you have to set the frequency of the band to 2.4 GHz only but it was not accepting this option and whenever I set it to 2.4 GHz it resets itself to Auto mode, the solution was to specify the region code of the connection (I put it to Europe and it worked).
Another thing I faced that it couldn't obtain the IP address automatically, so I put the IP as static and everything worked perfectly so far. :good:

[Q] CM6.1.3 V4.5.7, 802.1x Wi-Fi error

I can't seem to connect to Wi-Fi with a 802.1x security but the all the other securities work fine.
In the stock S.E firmware, it all works normally (2.1-update1 baseband 54)
Is anyone else having this problem?
Edit: My university uses PEAP/MSCHAPV2

Wi-fi Ace from Market can help you with this
Follow this --> http://myxperiax10.blogspot.com/2010/09/wifi-enterprise-connection.html
Wifi ACE doesn't help me. Possibly because the network does not broadcast the SSID - it has to be manually typed in.
I've had trouble connecting to it for a long time - If I remember correctly, 2.1 global would connect, but since I've upgraded no luck.
EDIT:
update - I figured out how to do it. Go to standard Wifi settings add the Enterprise's SSID -> as "Open" security (if you try secured, it will fail and then won't save). Now go to Wifi ACE as described above and elseware and tinker with settings... poof, it works - well you have to exit ACE...

wifi problems

Hello
First of all, sorry my english
I had installed on my Gratia the version of cyanogenmod 7.2 that comes in that thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1430267
concretely 2/10/12 revisiĆ³n
It works perfectly, but there is a little issue with wifi
When i connected to a wifi point and i exit from its range, and enter in other wifi range that i had stored in my wifi connections, phone not connect automatically to that other wifi while phone is locked. but i had to connect it mannually unlocking the phone.
In the original rom, when i was near my home, for example, phone connects automatically to my home wifi
In other hand, when i connected to a wifi and the wifi not detect activity, it disconnect from acces point, although i have put to never the sleep polytics of wifi. This problem is solved partialy because i install an app from market that make a ping every minute to a extern ip, then wifi detects activity and no sleeps.
A friend tell me that there is an update called "baseband" that update the part of android that controls radio connections, and this update can solve this problem.
I search that update in xda forums and find this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1153385&highlight=baseband
but when i try to update it with clockworkmod recovery it tells me that the update is in an old version previous to android 1.5. (amend) and abort the process.
I dont know how to solve problem.
Thanks

[Q] My Aria does not detect the network after CM9 upgrade

I have had the CM 7.0 version ported to my Aria for quite a while and have been on the lookout for the ICS version ever since. I successfully download an unofficial version
HTML:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1451906
on this link. I even got it to boot, but when I installed gapps, the system went into a bootloop and I had to revert back to the previous version.
The problem is ever since I reverted, it does not detect any network. It successfully shows me the network description, but there is no signal or network detected. I have reverted and tried every possible combination but the network is still nowhere to be seen. Any suggestions would be mighty helpful.

[Q] Wifi Connection Issues, cm10.1 CWM

I have looked around for a couple of hours and cannot find any answer to this.
I have just got my S3 back from being repaired after Sudden Death, and have rooted using Odin and CWM Touch 6.0.2.8, and flashed the latest cm10.1 Nightly (Currently 17022013)
I am able to connect to the mobile network (3 UK) and get a good H+ connection.
I cleared all of my saved wifi networks, and try to connect to my home connection. It Accepts the WPA key, and gets to 'Obtaining IP Address...' and does not go any further.
I have tried now on several wireless networks including insecure ones, and it will not connect.
Please help if you've had anything similar, or if I need to provide more information, a log of some kind
I have installed the latest nightly from CM10.1 and the issue is still present. Which makes me think that it is not a CM issue.
I will be re-flashing the stock image of the phone to confirm this shortly. Will post results

this worked for me but i found it easiser to swap the folder before instaling rom

[Q] Galaxy SIII i9300 WiFi (possibly Modem) issue

So I have had been jumping Custom ROMs lately, and after a couple of ROMs I had tried my phone stopped connecting to WiFi(it works fine for Cellular networks)! So I came back to CM11 (May 24 nightly build) and the wifi still didn't work!
Now, I thought this might be a modem issue so I installed Perkas File Stash but I don't know which modem to install..
I however downloaded the latest one(the last one) xxemg4.zip and flashed it and now my phone connects to WiFi but only if I keep it on top of my router with open WiFi
It would great if anybody could help!
ps: I have a i9300 with
FCC Id: A3LGTI9300A
SSN: I9300GSMH
BASEBAND: I9300XXEMG4 (After Flashing)
ps: I know questions similar to this have been asked before, but none of the solution work including:
Reverting back to official ROM
Using 91WiFiFix
Changing Baseband as mentioned above
Editing wpa_supplicant.conf (Adding #pf = 1, fast_reauth=1, deleting all configured APs)
Making my Wifi work on different channel, mode, Band, encryption etc. etc.
Here is my bugreport and logcat:
Probably failure of the aerial module or motherboard issue.
Any news about this?
I got the same issue today.
It says it's connected to the Wifi, but it can't really use the Internet for anything.
All other devices work just fine with the Wifi connection...
EDIT: it's something weird with the router. For some reason, it has this behavior for Samsung devices, but not for anything else.
