Hey guys,
I have a couple of questions.
1) Is my RAM usage normal? It's always 80%+ occupied. (Please see the screenshot)

}
2) WiFi doesn't turn off during sleep although I have checked the option and there is no app forcing WiFi to stay awake. None that I know of except Viber that I have selected "Use device's sleep policy".
Also I couldn't find any strings in build.prop that state something related to WiFi during sleep.
3) What is Google backup transport?
4) Why does it show two "Settings storage" apps?
5) Voice command "Go to ..." doesn't bypass my slide only lock screen. (I've checked the Bluetooth bypass option)
6) Voice command "Go to ..." returns the "No shortcut selected" error. help!
7) SO FAR I HAVE FREEZED THESE APPS. CAN YOU THINK OF ANY OTHER APP OR ACTIVITY THAT I CAN DISABLE FOR BETTER PERFORMANCE AND BATTERY LIFE WITHOUT HAVING SIDE EFFECTS? (FYI I'M NOT ON VERIZON)
8) Phone storage is segmented into 3 partitions. Right? Phone storage, internal storage and "bloatware storage (Just kidding)". Why do some apps go to phone storage and some to internal storage? Where do additional game data files go? To external storage?
I appreciate your time.

I made a small APK [Tegra2Tableau] with a permanent overlay showing the CPU temperature.
As soon as I'm nothing like a GUI guru (I prefer applications without any GUI) I intentionally made it trivial. Anyone willing to reshape the application and provide more features and better GUI may ask for source code and explanations if necessary.
The APK works with Atrix and probably with other Tegra2 units (untested).
The reason to create such a APK was the suspicion the overclocked kernels start at maximum clock regardless the limitations governor and SetCPU temperature protectors apply.
I found that at the end of my phone boot the CPU temp is well above 70C.

The APK itself (root required) updated 31/12/2011:

Install, select "enable overlay", press OK.
To disable: run again Tegra2Tableau, unselect, press OK. Or just uninstall the APK.
I'm always ready to answer your questions except for the quality of GUI. Again, I don't know how to write a good user interface. OK?
Forgot to mention...
Try the following:
- When enabled, set automatic lock "on", screen timeout "off" (so it stays on) and reboot.
- You'll see the overlay right above the Lock screen with immediate "after the boot" temperature.
In my settings under manage applications, I have 2 apps (wolfram alpha and blood brothers) that seem to have a slight... problem.

According to link2sd and launching blood brothers from a homescreen shortcut, those 2 apps are not installed. Yet, when I sideload blood brothers (not officially compatible with my phone but works nevertheless) it gives me the prompt saying this app will replace another app and all data will be saved. Then I hit install and it says "application not installed"
So I decided to open up settings and uninstall them from there, but it FCs every time I tap on either one of them.
Then, I went into /data/app, deleted both apks, went into /data/sdext2/data and deleted the data files for both of them. I also went into /data/data to delete all data. I also think there were apks in /data/sdext2 which I deleted. Anyhow, from screenie you can see both apps have 0.00 bytes of storage taken up, which I assume means I've cleared everything.
But they're still there, I want to use the apps and its annoying me to have those show up in settings.
So I went into TiBackup. They didn't show up. Like stated before, link2sd said nothing.
The Play Store says wolfram alpha is uninstalled, but here's the weird thing. I refunded the app (because it is not worth $3!) And it has this weird residue left over. Couldn't care less about it right now, but gimme blood brothers!
Any ideas as to what could have caused this?

What is the equivalent cp usb for d405n? I only see Diag Settings and Data Settings!
Hi All,
ive found a new annoyance with my phone recently. I always keep my phone location settings on battery saver mode as i believe having it on high accuracy all the time does make a difference to stand by drain with google's constant requests of location data.
however recently it seems the phone changes to high accuracy mode by itself after a few hours - anyone know which app/setting may cause this? Wifi calling used to do this but i no longer use - must be another setting somewhere?
Go to the Settings search bar and type: "Send Last Location", you'll wind up here:

The "Send Last Location" bumps up your location accuracy when your battery is low so you can find your phone when it dies.
Good find! Although my battery is on 6% atm and it's still on battery saver mode so thinking it isn't that ?
I have noticed the same thing. I picked up that the native weather app is turning on the gps to high accuracy when updating the weather.
I had a look at that app and when I launch it - it did ask to change my accuracy to high so thinking it can't be that either ? Kinda annoying trying to find this rogue setting / app
What I do is just refresh the app on the widget and not to open the app, I picked up that even if I say to turn on gps later, it switches it to high automatically
I have a strange problem with Google Photos. I am user of Xiaomi Mi Note 10 with MIUI12 and Android 10. Whole software is up to date.
On 27.10 i tried to take a photo but my camera app crashed. In a result picture have been created which looked deformed. I deleted it using my stock Gallery app. From there and from my file manager everything looks normal. Unfortunately when i open GP i can see "black photo" with corresponding date and time to this crash.

Moreover the path related to picture simply do not exist and picture have 0B. I don't have external sd card and path to my dcim folder is with 0 inside it not 999.
The issue is I am not able to delete this picture in any know to me method. Simply clicking on trash icon GP ask for permistion to sdcard (which do not exist). Anyway i gave it and nothing happened. Button move to archive also don't work, it simply says it cannot be done.
What really annoys me is fact that it constaly trying to synchronize it to my accout.
What i did so far:
-stop the app
-remove all it's data
-reinstall
After reinstalling i noticed one thing until i won't resume synchronization the file do not exist but shorty after resuming it pop up again...
I can also add that i tried to find it in on my phone without succes and it is not visible on others synchronized devices.
Any advices how to get rid of it?
Hello,
I am writing here because I have encountered an error and I cannot find a solution to fix it anywhere.
I have Redmi Note 5 with MIUI 11.0.3.
I clicked Optimise Battery and among other options to optimise the option "Save power when device is locked" was ticked by default. Than I clicked green button "Add X minutes". Than I realised this option causes the GPS to turn off when device is locked. But there is no way now to turn off this option "save power when device is locked". It is nowhere to be found in settings.
Looks like it is a software error, where battery optimizer turns on this option but there is no way to turn it off later in any way.
I am attaching a screenshot, you can see this option in "optimised" category and there is nothing to be done to turn this off.
Please help me how to disable this option, because having GPS when device is locked is important to me.
Thanks
Konrad Dolowy

You can't keep GPS on while screen is off and in power saver mode.
However you can keep google navigation on in the background, which in return can keep the GPS on no matter what is your state of your device.
Or you can download this app, it claims to keep GPS on in background. (Probably uses the same logic of google navigation)
I haven't tested the app though. And I think it would stop working once you turn power saver mode, and didn't add the app to whitelist.
I believe google find my device can keep GPS on in the background as well, even in power saver mode. (Since it has administrator permission)
I recommend trying google find my device first. I wouldn't feel safe sharing my location with too much apps, and google is enough.
Similarly you can try adding any app that uses GPS to the whitelist.
Hope I helped.
