By task manager you mean task killer (memory cleaner), or built-in Task Manager? If task killer there should be an option somewhere in setting to keep Launcher from being killed (Whitelist). If built-in - well, don't use that "Stop all" (don't know exact English translation), but use task killer if you want to kill apps. (Not recommended though)

Third party launcher like Apex or Nova has that option.

Tried this but didn't worked http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1960132

How to get Stock 2.1 task manager widget on Axura 2257 with Launcher Pro?

Is there anyway to get stock 2.1 task manager widget on home screen? Im running Axura 2257 and have Launcher pro. I did find the widget and its located in sd/ system/ apps/ SamsungWidget_ProgramMonitor.apk.
Unfortunately, the Samsung widgets do not run on third-party launchers. I have never heard of anyone getting them to work on anything but the TouchWiz launcher.
Would be nice, I'd love to use Feeds & Updates, the Task Manager widget and the Music Player widget...

This is sad!! Hopefully someone will find a way to get them to work on custom ROMs.
I was also looking for the feature which tells you which app has how much battery...this was also in stock 2.1. Its not a widget but you could get to its screen from menu > settings> display or battery (i think) . Axura 2257 does have a utility in 'sgs toolbox > usage statistics' that tells you which app has been used for how long ..but the layout sucks and i cant make out in a glance who (which app) is the power hog. This is something im really missing from stock 2.1. OK im done whining.... lol...
I see you running Axura 226...how is it different than 2257, that is, if you have used 2257?

[Q] a few questions about some apps

I've got a few ideas for apps i'd love to have, but don't know if they exist, or which ones are best, so hopefully someone can help me out
1. Whenever Titanium Backup does a scheduled backup, it closes all apps and HTC sense in order to do a backup. Before doing this, i got about 120-140 free RAM, but after Titanium Backup does a backup, i'm up to 300-350 free RAM. I guess it frees alot of RAM when it closes all the programs.
My question is, is there any app that does this too? Without doing a backup? Maybe a simply 1-click widget that closes them all (including HTC sense) and then opens up the needed apps again?
2.1. I used to use normal HTC sense as my launcher, but switched to ADWLauncher EX. One of the two things i'm missing is a proper 1x1 widget to disable/enable 3g network. There are lots of apps that can make a shortcut to the settings, but i don't want this. I want one similar to the one in HTC Sense.
Any ideas?
2.2. There was a "Sync" 1x1 widget in HTC Sense, which forced it to sync all the items i had chosen whenever i clicked the widget, is there another 1x1 widget for this in the market?
3. In ADWLauncher EX, i can hide the status bar with a simple swipe, but is there any way to hide the app drawer shortcut (which is at the bottom of my screen, where the HTC sense navigation bar used to be), along with all my icons?
So the screen would be completely clean of everything, and all you could see is the wallpaper.
4. When i had my old HTC Desire, i used to have an app that would allow me to assign 1 wallpaper to each of my 7 homescreens, but i can't for the sake of me remember the name of the app, can anyone help me out?

Can anyone help me?
No one can help me? :S
There is a lot off apps for killing running processes. Autokiller, advanced task killer and many more. If you want more ram, change rom .. Im running cm7 and have aprox 330mb free at all time.

Randomly killing apps/processes is not advisable. Android was built to multi-task. Use Watch Dog Lite if you want too see what uses your RAM and CPU. Free RAM is wasted RAM, to some extent. And if you kill everything, you risk missing important things like texts, widget updates, etc.

Stock task killer vs market task killer?!

Guys my mind seems to get stuck because i use advance task killer and i have also task manager the stock app that comes with the GS3 ....the thing is if i open more apps and kill them with advance task killer they are still available to kill with stock task killer and also the other way around...So what does this tell me?! What is the best way to actually close the apps that are still running in the background?!

Don't use advanced task killer.
Let me repeat that for longevity, DO NOT USE ADVANCED TASK KILLER!
That was useful pre froyo, not now.
Let Android do its thing.

Don't use any 3rd party task killer it will only decrease you battery life. Task Manager is pretty good. Just kill the task and use "clear memory"
Like the guys say, you do not need a task killer from the market. Android manages tasks for you. If you have a badly coded app use the samsung one which is under long hold home for convenience. Usually this is force stop in application manager

ICS/JB Recent Apps/Switcher/Task Manager

Which app or mod do you suggest me to have recent apps ( not necceserly task killer )??
1.AppICS Task Manager/switcher
2.AppICS Task Manager
3.Mod Add ICS/JB Like Recent Apps
I need one of this, which can't drain battery...i just want to have jelly bean recent apps, also if it hasn't task killer...
if you know any other better mods or guides just post it below..
PLEASE HELP TO DECIDE :silly:
:good:
you see on my thread of Mod Add ICS/JB Like Recent Apps I included the suggestion to use the ICS Task Manager app by HalfCycle because it is the most convenient among the three. and also it doesn't have any issue using a qvga screen like our x10 mini device. the other app ICS Task Manager/switcher almost eats up the whole screen of our small device so it is not advisable. =')
PS: I use the ICS Task Manager app for daily use.

[Q] Android Non-Stock alternative lockscreen

I am looking for a lockscreen replacement that does not act as an app. All the lockscreens that I have installed from the Play market, act as an app, and as soon as I kill background apps (long pressing the home button and clearing running apps) when I lock my phone again, and unlock it the lockscreen is gone. Why is this not happening with my stock lock screen? This is getting annoying. Why do they even have lockscreens in the App store if none of them work?
Buddy first of all stop using task killers they male phone more laggy, androids ram managenet is itself great and this [email protected] task killers intrupt in it.
Good lockscreen app - WidgetLocker(paid) , HOLO locker(free)
