I have bought a cheap tablet, ZTE V10 (www,ztedevices,com/support/smart_phone/8ddeb144-81b4-4cfb-814e-263303c8c531,html) and I am trying to root it.
My carrier has loaded so much bloatware on it.
It runs Android 2.3.5
Kernel version: [email protected]
My problem is that I cannot find a guide to root this specific device. I am struggling to find *any* google results for it - save people trying to sell it.
I have tried
wiki,cyanogenmod,org/w/Install_CM_for_v9 (The v9 seems to be the closest device I could find online)
Framaroot
z4root
None of them seems to be working.
Any hints/tips/direction will be helpful.

Alright, I may be new to the forums but i'm not very new to rooting I've rooted my old Samsung Admire (MetroPCS) Android 2.3.4. I Broke my old phone from a rather large drop and let's just say it didn't survive . Anyways I got my new phone (Same Carrier and Model) And it's android 2.3.6 and i've been trying to root this one all day with no success, I've tried: SOC, Admireoneclick and CASUAL root and none seemed too work Any tips to help me root 2.3.6 would be much obliged.
I recently bought a Chinese android 4.1.1 phone and dont really like the look of it and was goolging around and found about these things called ROMS. I know the phone has to be rooted and I found this program called SRSRoot and was able to root the phone. but now I am confused, can I install any ROM found on this site? does it have to be compatible with android 4.1?

You cannot just install any ROM. If you do, you might end up bricking your phone.
Try googling 'phone model + Rom' .
It would also be wise to know about recovery.
I have an unlocked (South Korean) LG F70 D315 device running Android KitKat 4.4.2 (Kernel Version 3.4.0+)(Software Version F370L10i), which apparently does not seem to be a very common smartphone. I have had root on pretty much every other phone before this one, and it's pretty frustrating to not be able to get it on this device. I have read multiple threads and sites about rooting this device, and they all point to towelroot. I've tried towelroot, but both the standard and temporary modstrings resulted in the 'this phone isn't currently supported by towelroot' message. I've tried messing around with modstrings from other threads I've found, but no result. I am not a developer, and have a very basic knowledge of Android development, but one thing I do know is it's a pain to go without root.
So my question, does anyone have another method of root they can recommend, or have modstrings that might actually work with this device?

Im looking to root an andoird 4.4.4 phone, as the phone is chinese and not mainstream its not possible to unlock the bootloader or find a custom rom to flash superuser onto it. I notice if you have an htc device running 4.4.4 you can use weaksauce 2 to root them and samsung devices can use cf auto root. Is there a similar universal program that will work on other manufacturers phones.

There is no such thing as a universal rooting app. Too many different configurations of the system, security, and lots of other factors. Not all HTCs can use Weak Sauce, nor do all Samsung devices have options for CF Auto Root (and they are all different as well as many need to use the particular variant's kernel to root - very NOT universal). Post the details of your phone here such as brand, chipset, and build version and you'll have a better chance of someone chiming in with a way to do so other than searching for generic solutions.

I have about 5 new NeuTab N9 pro. It has Android 4.2 which is kind of old. That tablet is pretty good. Can someone help me with how to install Android 6 (if not at least 5) on that tablet. I tried on one and rooted it. but i couldn't find a custom rom for that. I used dr.fone to root it. It discovered device as "SMARTIC w51090wvga". I searched for ROM with this term as well but couldn't find anything. I would appreciate if anyone can help.
