I wish I could. But he figured out what I was talking about and his update won't install either. I just converted him from iPhone so he doesn't really know much about what he is doing.

Noooooo its a Mega problem. Note 3 has version 2.5 and Mega has 2.0. They won't work together properly when you can actually get in the megas group play app.
I pulled the group play from her note 3 and it will not install on the Mega. Check the group play feedback in Samsung apps store. Almost all complaining Mega so t update

The problem is the app shouldn't be attempting to update in the first place. If you are quick enough to select one of the options before the update message comes up then you can bypass the update and use the app. The problem is on Samsung's end and is not the device itself. As stupid as it may sound the app is only supported on Galaxy Note 3 and the S4. Why that is I have no idea but its a joke on Samsung's part since they preloaded it on the phones. If you go to samsung app store on desktop computer it shows this as well. F* you Samsung you suck in my book now.

i got it all worked out after rooting. backed up the group play, removed it, installed the note 3 group play and it worked but would force close creating. removed note 3 group play and reinstalled the older version the mega came with. went into samsung app store, update still failed. uninstalled via samsung market, while staying on the group play app page, reinstalled and now it works normal with the updated version
confusing i know. its not as good as the note 3 group play. i grabbed the games thru the wifes note 3 too and it plays well with the mega note on group play games. Mucis doesnt work between the two.
Group play is a joke on the mega. I read somewhere the 4.4 update supposed to fix it all. so 1 more year before att update mega to 4.4

New at&t ota update fixes the problem. I dont have any issues with Group Pl a y since updating.

[Q] This app is incompatible with all of your devices.

I went from stock S2 rom to MIUI and so far loving it. However, and this is just a query really, the other night I downloaded GTA 3 from the market.
Now, on MIUI when I browse the market, its not there. Going on the website, it states "This app is incompatible with all of your devices." Well, yes it is.
I know I can prob download it elsewhere, but I paid for this.
Is this cos of the MIUI rom confusing google?
Also, as a bonus question, how can I get a list of all the apps I installed recently.
When I check googles market website, it lists only 3, and I've downloaded like 30.
GTA III will show not compatible with Galaxy S2, no matter what rom you used.
You can download the apk from others. I downloaded it and haven't got any problem so far (Just sometimes the game is force closed.)
For the installed app, I think it will show only the paid one. Mine doesn't show the free app in the previous installed. (Not Sure bout this)
EDIT : Clarify my word a bit
It runs....saw it on drippler

The thing was I downloaded this from the market in the first place. It must of been compatible to let me download it? Because on this market its gone. It like they pulled it.

I think something is wrong, tried to download the natwest app and that's also missing from the market. This MUIU seems to be causing issues which is annoying because I love using it. Any ideas?

I don't think problem is with your Rom. I am using lightening Rom and I have the same problem with some apps I downloaded from market. Maybe its because the newer versions of those apps miss something to be compatible with galaxy S2 or maybe its a market glitch.

Its odd. They dont show up on my phone by going to the market on my pc just says it's not compatible. I guess the only way ill know is going back to my rom backup and see if it works.

Some apps are just not compatible with your phone ( GTAIII is an example, the developers haven't optimized it for SGSII ). You can still download any of those .apks elsewhere, and install them , chances are they won't work ( GTAIII does in fact work , if not by default , then by using chainfire3D). It's not, i repeat, it's NOT a bug in the market , or a bug in the ROM.
Edit: Solved it.

And suddenly I can't update Go SMS Pro (v4.33) in my Black i9100 (suddenly says incompatible) while it's normal on my fiance's White i9100.
Both international version, same ROM same installed programs inside, configuration, and version.
This once happeneded to me, maybe your DPI is not compatible with market giving you the error. If its changed return it to the value of 240
Nah, I never mess with DPI settings. Its suddenly like that.
Yesterday I can see it in the market and when it requested to update I just decline it because I wasn't in wifi area and decided to update it today but it now says incompatible. Weird...
While in my fiance's i9100 it downloaded perfectly.
And the build prop is stock. Also here's my config:
XWKL1 stock odexed ROM & Siyah v.12 kernel.

Modern Combat 3 says my S3 isn't compatible?

Wanted to buy MC3 for the $0.99 deal on Google Play, but I couldn't find it on the Play Store on the S3, so I went to the website to try to buy it, but it says it's incompatible with my S3. Why?
I run the LG8 BTU firmware.
I did buy it for my tab today, but I cannot download it for my S3.
Why?
Ask Gameloft!
But why don't you simply download it for free from Samsung Apps?

there is already another threat where this topic is discussed
you can buy it on gameloft website, they will send you a direct dl link for the apk file and it will work (did it this way) or just dl in sam. apps as said before..

I did email Gameloft regarding this matter, I just would like to know why the Galaxy S III is incompatible. It's the most powerful android phone today. The Note 2 phablet being second.
well why don't download from samsung apps ?
is FOC
Yeah I got it on Samsung Apps and it doesn't suck.
If I download it thru Sam apps, can I update it as usual on Play store? I mean, the one I bought.
or if I got GL to send me an apk. They haven't responded to my email, though, might be because it's weekend.

I also thought it was strange and was trying to Google if anyone had installed it and their results, when I came across this thread.
I think I'll wait a bit before I consider installing the update.
Cheers.
update from playmarket and no problems
It's a beta update for certain people who sign up for betas. Weird you got it. Play store version comes out in the 18th.

Hangouts not supported

Why on earth did Google not make Hangouts available for download on either Nexus tablets? It's their own product, and we have to wait to try out the new service? Pretty poor to be honest.
I sideloaded it just fine after grabbing the APK from another device. Works without issue. Still odd like you say though.
Maybe they are using a gradual rollout for various devices. It is odd that it wouldn't be available for tablets, especially their own.

Here's the new apk - Hangouts
It asked for my phone number on my SIII.
So that may be why it is not available on these devices without SIM's.

Works fine on my Nexus 10 tab. It did not ask for phone number during initial setup.
I also don't have it on my N10 play store.
And if I connect to play store through my pc, it shows that Hangouts is not supported for Nexus 10.
Very strange.

This is the exact reason as announced already on play store description. Either grab the apk from another device or wait some days.
Btw it's working perfectly on n10 (and probably other tablets) already. They just roll out the app later for some devices. Can't tell you why though
Quote:
We are rolling out hangouts to everyone over the course of several days [...] tablets included.
I've just installed it in my nexus 4 & 10 from Google Play without problems (Spain).
It's now available through the play store in the UK however you have to root uninstall talk first otherwise it won't install.
Hangouts sucks anyway , no SMS or voice integration. It's basically what Google talk was ...it didn't unify anything . FAIL!

What is truely missing is the ability to send /share videos, like whatsapp has.
This is a feature many use, and they won't immigrate from whatsapp to hangouts unless it would be implemented.

If you don't want to update (why wouldn't you?) hangouts is in the Google+ app - open it, hit back and select hangouts... After update it has its own app which replaces talk
Well what I did to sideload it was to open the app on the web play store and installed it to the nexus 10 and gs3 because if I installed it on the devices it would just install talk

[Q] Does the Galaxy Gear work with the Galaxy S4 Zoom??

Hi,
I have the chance of buying a Galaxy S4 zoom but need to know whether it works with the Galaxy Gear or not? I have a Galaxy Gear (Original Galaxy Gear 1) already and don't want to render it useless should I chop in my Galaxy S3 for the S4 zoom!!
Thanks
Yes it does. I have gear version 1. Works fine with zoom S4 on latest 4.2.2

Thank you for letting me know. The version I have a chance of getting is the SM-C105 presumably that's not going to make a difference?!
Did you just download the Galaxy Gear app from the Samsung App Store? Or did you force install the Galaxy Gear app itself?
Also do you have full functionality or have you lost some features like people say the weather doesn't sync, the notifications, etc...??
No you don't need to download gear manager. Just follow the instructions in the Gear box. Turn on nfc and it will connect and start the Gear manager download for you.
I have full functionality. I think people with issues have either messed with or installed non standard software first.
My phone and gear are absolutely stock firmwares with no mods.

I don't understand how you were able to get the Gear to work with the Zoom running the stock rom 4.2.2. When I use the NFC to pair the devices, it opens the Samsung App store on the Zoom and attempts to download the Gear Manager app but I get an error that says "Product does not exist in this store. (4002)"
Is there something that I am missing? Could it be possible that there's a difference between your stock rom 4.2.2 SM-C101 and the one I have SM-C105A?

Hmm ok, this doesn't sound as promising now!!
I don't suppose anyone is able to definitely confirm that the Galaxy Gear works with the Galaxy S4 Zoom?
I've double checked today and its actually the SM-C101 model I have a chance of getting... OR I can now get a Galaxy S4. So I need to be absolutely sure that I can use my Gear with the Zoom, otherwise I'll go for the S4
After extensive research and numerous attempts, I finally broke down and decided to root my sisters S4 Zoom so that it would be compatible with the Gear.
It was really easy to get setup and probably took 45 mins total, I just never did it before because I tried to get it connected without root.

I didn't need to root to get mine to work. Worked straight out the box.

Thanks for the replies. Hopefully the SM-C101 will just work on stock then?
Its odd as there is hardly any info on people sucessfully connecting their Gear to the S4 zoom. Maybe its just because there wasn't many S4 zooms sold??
