New issue ..
Today i didn't have a charger with me so phone drained completely. Now it no matter how long i charge it it will not boot right.
This is what it is doing, two kind of behaviors:
1, when it is plugged into an outlet screen remain slightly lit, able to boot into bootloader, able to boot into recovery (once phone turned off itself in recovery..). when trying to boot into android phone hangs on LG loading screen and LG loading screen disappear as soon as unplug the phone from the outlet . LED light remain off while plugged in, it should be lit when being charged.
2, when it is plugged into a computer phone seems to boot itself, LG logo flashing on and off quickly seeming like bootloop.
I have flashed the rom again it didnt help.
Edit 1: fixed by factory restore

CWM supports charging your battery, so use the strongest charger you have (spec is 2amp charger) and leave it there for a few hours. the reason it flips on usb connection is because most usb is only 0.5 amp or maybe 1amp if you're lucky.
You should be ok gotta be patient though.

Yea you just have to leave the charger in for a while..mine did this...but you can also try this
Unplug the charger hold down the power button of 15sec and then put the charger back in (the red light should come on)
Then the screen will show the LG logo about two times and then the battery charging logo
And just give it a minute or two and power it up
The LG charger is 1.2a

I've been able to flash custom ROMs onto my HD2 without problems for a long time.
However since recently when I flash a ROM (e.g. radio) it goes into a constant reboot mode:
- Does not turn on without power cable anymore
- When I plug in power, it vibrates and the white screen comes up
- After a few seconds it goes black then comes the white screen again
- Goes on forever...
I was able to get the it to run again by first doing Task29, then installing the latest original ROM (1.66.405.2). However, as soon as I install another ROM (e.g. RADIO_2.07.50.27_2) I get into the endless reboot again.
Update: After another try to get a different ROM onto the device, I'm not even able to flash anything working (endless reboot).
Please help!
bent battery pins.
Thanks a lot that actually seemed to be it.
I noticed a pin was bent when I finished my flashing crusade but I didn't connect it to the issues I noticed.
i have the same problem today, but no bent pin. I cant even charge it, when plug into charger it charges for 5 seconds then boots up to HTC logo white screen without any info for 10 sec then reboots itself forever, I cant even charge it at the moment because once it boots up it goes to HTC logo screen and reboots the whole time rendenring the battery unchargeable. I assume the battery is faulty eventhough the phone is brand new.
any ideas?

try this, it might work .
Remove battery for 10 minutes, plug in charger and wait 5 minutes, hold power for 10 seconds then release, insert battery normally, should charge fine now

noob here,
a few times my atrix battery has died, so i have to plug it into the wall charger. as i do this, it tries to boot into cwm recovery (is that right?) and if i forget to hit the volume up, then it'll just hang on the moto logo and not do anything.
the only solution i've found is to let the phone charge for a while, disconnect from the wall charger, pull the battery, then put it back in and turn on the phone.
i'm afraid pulling the battery might not be the best solution and that i might damage the phone somehow. is there another way to recover from being stuck on the moto logo if this happens again? or is my current method ok?
Don't let your battery discharge. Charge it more frequently.
It is actually detrimental to a Li-Ion battery to let it die all the way. It will damage the battery after a while. It is recommended to charge it BEFORE it completely dies (phone shuts off).
mine stuck also.
My atrix is stuck on the moto boot screen. BL is unlocked, Rooted device. It was stuck on the moto boot screen initially. wiped cache, dalvik, wiped/restored. flashed cm9. still stuck on boot screen any suggestions?
I'll leave it on the charger for awhile.. see if i can get anything from that.
I got mine warranty replaced due to same issues

Any of you guys experience this ? I'm on ota 2.3.4 unlocked and rooted. Not sure if this is a result of being unlocked or on 2.3.4 as it's been a week or so since I charged when phone was turned off.
Before : Phone off, plug in charger, phone starts to boot into the green battery charging screen, and if I wanted to boot fully, then press power button and it boots.
Now: Phone off, plug in charger, phone starts to boot, but no green battery screen, gets stuck at first red Moto logo screen. Holding power button does not get it to continue to boot. Only way out is to unplug, take out battery, put battery back in, and turn on phone without it being plugged in.
Overall, not a big deal as I mostly charge with the phone on and can continue to do so, but wanted to see if any others who are either unlocked or on 2.3.4 have experienced the same issue. anyone?
funny. i just answered this question a second ago here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15538419&postcount=9
hope it helps!
My photon was on 5% about an hour ago... then it turned itself off. I plugged it in to the charger and a "white/faint yellow" LED comes on. Normally the photon doesn't have a charge LED so this certainly struck me as odd.
It has been sitting for almost an hour and still won't turn on.
I took the battery out and reconnected the charger and the white/faint yellow LED comes back on, even with the battery pulled out.
What is happening here? Has anyone seen this?
I've see green/orange/red LED flashes for diff things but never white.
Well I found this thread: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sprint-photon/107931-led-not-working.html#post1147045
Looks like white means very low battery and charging. Now the white light has gone off while plugged in... But it still will not turn on
Turns out, I was plugging it into a PC usb that didn't have the drivers installed. The phone won't charge if the moto drivers are not installed, regardless of the light
I plugged it into a wall charger and viola... its back and running.
False alarm!
Lol, exact same thing happened to me! I totally freaked out, but plugged it in a wall and started working.
same thing happened to me yesterday. I plugged into the wall, NOTHING. I started freaking out, until I pulled the battery and re installed it. LED charge light then came on and all was good. Weird.
Can someone help me i have a photon also but when i plug it up it says failed to boot 2 starting rsd mode battery too low to flash and it wont boot up when plugged up to a computer. also when i plug it into the wall it just boot to the m sign

- Pull battery
- Put it back in so it's off
- Keep it plugged into the wall to charge it
- Once charged, power into RSD mode (power+vol up)
- Plug into computer and start RSD and flash 154_5 SBF to get back to stock
- then flash 198_7 SBF for good measure.
- Reboot
When i try that nothing works, it just stays on the white led light
I just bought mine from best buy and it did the same thing..they exchanged the phone since it was defective..

Photon won't turn on anymore. White LED when plugged in
i have a refurbished replacement photon from best buy geek squad that i got last month. within a few days it was acting strange and randomly/often turning itself off. the battery was fully charged yet the unit would often times power down. this happened a lot the first few weeks. then last week the issue seemed to stop and it stayed on 24/7 as i charged it frequently. all was well until yesterday.
i dropped my phone from about 2 feet. the phone turned off and only the "m" boot up screen appeared after i powered on, then it went black. i had a fully charged battery in the unit when this happened. i plugged the charging cable into the phone and it kept booting up to this static "m" screen then turning off. the LED notification light went red and after numerous times powering on and off and resetting the battery (and sim card) i finally got a "5%" battery screen. a few seconds later it showed 100% battery then kept rebooting to the static "m" screen and shutting off again. then i started getting a "?" screen for the battery a few times and back to the 5% and it changed to 80%/100% very quickly and back to the blank screen. i left it plugged in overnight.
now the LED notification light turned white and the phone cannot be powered on. i tried another battery without any success so that shouldn't be the issue.
any ideas what to try next?

Try to fully charge your battery using portable battery charger.
When battery full charge, try to entering recovery mode. From off condition, press both power and volume down, press down until you find android recovery and press volume up button. After you see exclamation logos, press both volume up and down. Then select wipe data. Hope fully you can still entering recovery mode.
If you cannot enter recovery mode, try to enter RSD protocol.
step is, connect your photon to PC using cable data, press both volume up and power, wait until it show RSD Protocol, than flash it again.
How to flash using RSDLite is in development section, you can read there.
Hopefully its can work

I just had a mini-anxiety attack until I found your post. Thank you!
Here's the story: I'll try to make it as short as possible (I'll also put on a TL;DR at the end)
My phone is rooted, flashed to Cyanogenmod 11 nightly build, no problems when I flashed these guys.
I installed Lucky Patcher to patch an app, put some files on my SD card (bunch of PSX games)
just put it out there if that changed anything
My battery was low at that time and I did not expect that if I let it shut down by itself, I could still open it just like I do in the past.
Phone totally has no charge on my battery 0%. I plugged in my charger, the phone opens up but it only opens the M logo with Dual core technology (not the pulsing M). Tried to charge it overnight, still stuck on dual core screen, tried resetting using Power + Volume Down, and also going through where AP fastboot, BP Tools was, If I choose any of them (except for fastboot) it would redirect me again to the dual core logo.
sometimes I get lucky if I choose BP tools and goes to TWRP recovery (safestrap installed), tried to boot there and still no luck.
also tried unplugging charger while on the selection of AP fastboot and just shutdowns my phone. also one time it redirects me to one with a battery icon and a question mark.
I also don't have access to factory cable, can't buy one because it's not available in here in the Philippines, tried making one but I reaally suck at soldering, also when I opened up the wires, it only shows up 3 wires, red, green, and white, the other one I opened was only red and black.
TL;DR : Phone battery is dead, when plugged in charger, Motorola Razr Stuck on M logo (with Dual core technology). I also don't have access to factory cable, can't buy one because it's not available in here in the Philippines. Also there's no more Motorola stores that I can get a fix (I think they got bankrupt :silly
I really love this phone and I would really appreciate if I could get a quick fix
Sad, it seems that the questions here seldomly get answered, hope the experts go online soon

It's OK don't worry. Just charge the phone for about two hours, unplug the carger and faster reset the phone wiht power + volume up + volume down. This way you can boot to safestrap. You will see that battery is on 0%, so plug the phone in the charger and wait. Until you are in safestrap the phone will charge. The battery needs at least 5% to boot the OS, I myself prefer to reach 20 even 30 percent. Then on safestrap's homescreen press reboot, then system and after the phone reboots wait or press search when safestrap's splash screen shows and the OS will load.

It Worked! Thank you so much for your help. The only problem I have now is that everytime I get my battery low, it doesn't go on charge mode when turned off. is there a fix in that? But overall, the trick that you thought me worked, and I'm using that trick when my battery gets low.
It seems hard to get a fix for this issue, so I used the app "Tablet Auto Power Off ★ root" and set the auto shut down when the battery reach 5%. It gives me enough power to restart the phone when I'm ready to charge it.
