I bought a 64gb micro SD card and want to use it in my EVO 3D but it keeps getting corrupted when formatted to fat so I tried formatting to ext4 but it wont mount. I was running d3rpICS but have recently changed to Cool-ICS-v17-EvoC. Any ideas what I need to do?
My first suggestion is to try this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=7261039
Also I don't know if the 3d will support 64 gig. The og EVO does not officially support 64 gigs just like the 3vo but users have reported them to work.

I am using 64 gb SanDisk ultra card fr last 3 months...with no problem in any rom...neither phone is slow anywhere
3d also not affected ...currently i m using YS4 v6 with fixed 3d in sense 4.1 (i think there is nothing to do with 3d and card)
I also tried seversl other roms ...
Htc evo 3d can easily run 64 gb card in any custom rom without any problem or affect
Try yourself

Sorry let me clarify. When I said 3d I was talking about the EVO 3d phone not the 3d feature of the phone.

just curious, i was asking if anyone still used 4.0 roms. post your rom that you use if you do use one.
currently using sos m and i might go back to sense.
There's only 3 that I know of.
Virus/Team Venom's viper3d nightly
Newts One S
and Chubbzlou's
newt focuses more on the rezound and he had personal issues come up not sure if he's back developing yet
never tried chubbzlou's rom
running the team venom viper3d nightly
Umm, most roms aren't even Sense 4.0 yet. The official OTA to ICS didn't even update to sense 4.0.
Gsm phones have really no choice, Viper port, lucky I have my hands on a test rom that went dead before it was released, to bad because it's a solid rom.

I'm using the 8/9 Viper 3D 4.0 Rom right now. I installed in a few days ago and so far it has been fantastic. No bugs that I have noticed and all features work except for 3d and 4g which isn't a big deal for me anyways. Also the battery life has been solid so far compared to other 4.0 rom's I have tried.
Sensation forum correct?

You got to go infected rom dot com. I'm still running 8/10 and it's flawless.

Ya, the cdma version had reboot issue until today's release, but issue was minimal, been on it for a while, by far best with tweaks. Chubbz was awesome battery for a while, but w/o tweaks. You will enjoy.

Op. I used Newts Sense 4.0 but I couldn't deal with not having 4g. Since the official release of ICS, I dropped Newts ROM and switched back to a 3.6 ROM (MeanRom 2.6).

Weird, I would get 4G on Sense 4 ROMs.
Only problems for me were 3D, TV out and Wifi Tethering.

ive tried everything and there s no prompt to tell me to use disk drive for example ive even done a reset.
im currently on s-off hboot 1.49.008 (not revolutionary) with kingcobra rom. i honestly think its the hboot but i cant do anything since i cant get it to connect to the pc
does anyone have an idea of what might be the cause
thx
Are you sure you are using the correct usb cord, do you have the drivers installed on your computer, try to reboot your cpu, try another usb port, it's not likely your phone

Thx for the reply
Its 100% the phone because i have 2 evo 3ds at home and am using same port and htc usb cable only 1 evo 3d is not working and ive tryed different pcs
Try swapping sd cards, are you using kernel that is included with the rom, did you do a full wipe when you flashed the rom, try the easy stuff, before you start messing with hboot, when you plug in phone do you at least get the option to charge the phone
Sent from my HTC EVO 3D X515m using xda premium
I tryed all of the above and yes i did a full wipe and im using the kernel that came with the rom (stock htc). And i get no option whatsoever
Thx again for your reply
So when you plug the phone in do you at least get the option of charging the phone?

Ok i just got it you wanted to know if the phone jack actually works but yea it does charge so i dont think its a hardware problem

Re-flash the rom, sounds like the settings are messed up, under pc connection you should have multiple options when you connect your phone, check to see if any options exist. Did you flash the new firmware?

If you are S-OFF, yes. Take out the SD card, put it in another device that can read/write it, and copy another bootloader to the root of your SD card as PG86IMG.zip. Then put the SD card back in the phone, start the bootloader by pressing VolumeDown+Power, and confirm that you want the current bootloader to flash the new bootloader.

I dought it's hboot, I know some folks are having issue's with kingcobra's settings on asop, try flashing another rom, it's easier

As the previous post said, it can support GSM (t-mob, att, etcs)
As for the battery, I am pretty sure it is similar to Sensation battery (with larger mAh). Sensation has about 1500, this device has 1730mAh. I am pretty sure they have same battery since the Anker battery for sensation & amaze are the same

I think your question about battery has been answered previously (see my previous post)
Or......... take a look at a quick google search result here:
http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_amaze_4g-4097.php
http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_evo_3d-3901.php
and do "Ctrl + F", type in: "battery".... And there you go....
For beats audio, short answer is "yes". For a full list of ROM that have it, just go to Amaze android development section, and search for beats audio and you shall find your answer....
And just saying, you should do more searching next time

Well, yesterday i was reading some articles about some of the partitions on our phone that are not used any longer, and so , we end up loosing internal space ( from our evo around 100-300mb)
From what i found , it seems that the ICS is not using the Cache partition any longer , or doesn't require the huge amount of data that was allocated to it , in stead it uses the data partition for caching and storing data .
Is there a way we can...repartition some of the space from the cache or other partitions for our data partition ? Or even from system ?

Does a2sd work on this phone? Is there any need? I'm upgrading to a htc evo 4g lte on Saturday from og evo, just wondering if apps 2 sd is working or needed
Sent from my PC36100 using xda app-developers app
I think that there is no I need, but others mighty say otherwise. Since you are coming from the OG Evo, I know that you have a microSD.
On the LTE, it has the internal memory (just like the OG), and it has the internal storage, which is the equivalent of the SD card on the OG. And THEN you have the external SD. Apps aren't saved to the ext SD card, and you have plenty internal storage for the apps. The data from the apps are automatically saved to the internal SD (like 1gb+ for real racing 3).
