I bought lg l9 p 765 approx.15 days back it came wth jellybean out of the box but now I want to downgrade it to ICS as I heard ICS had better battery life.so is the downgrade possible? If yes pls help me wth the process

Yes, it's possible. Two options:
1) off line flash KDZ
2) restore a ICS CWM backup

Its not worth it to downgrade to ICS. You'll get your battery life back if you do a factory reset.

i got stellar battery life on ICS.. just sayin. I think it's worth trying. im on CM now, but if i wanted to go stock i would go ICS over JB all day ay day. i always axe people what JB features make it the better choice and no one seems to have an opinion.

i usually do a factory reset anytime i flash something new. when i search the world wide web it seems that people generally post about having better battery life in ics but i dunno. when i used JB i got better battery life after i nailed down a couple of wakelocks but still no comparison to ics. so now that we know results can vary, seems like a worthy experiment for op.

I know, I know, another ICS update thread, but hear me out. AT&T is allegedly rolling out the update tomorrow (July 10th). Since this is being reported by The Verge, and they have had hands-on time with the update, I trust that the July 10th date is accurate. Here's the link to the source:
http://www.theverge.com/2012/7/9/3146884/att-samsung-galaxy-note-android-40-update-video-photos
P.S. Please don't bash me if the update doesn't come tomorrow, I'm just the messenger!
Its on android central too.
Some people said it's already out on kies, I'm not home or I would check
it's true!!!!

I don't know if anybody cares about this, but the baseband version is apparently I717UCLF6.
Hmmm... maybe more tweaks? The last leak was pretty nice but there is definitely room for improvement

Yes. Kies says I have an update. UCLF6
Hopefully we'll see source to come shortly and a CWM flashable version!
damn..does this mean i have to go back to stock ..get the update..re-root re-rom..just so i can say i "officially" got the update:laugh::laugh::laugh:
Finally credible info
But who cares
Only good thing about this for me is that the clock to release source starts
Possible undervolting could help people like me with poor battery life
Speed divas can enjoy overclocking
Yes, update is out.

Somehow I doubt its 4.1. All the articles are showing its 1 build newer than LF5, so its 4.0.4, not 4.1.
I don't know if religious comments are aloud but, "Praise The LORD"!!! Thank you OP for the heads up... i think something is downloading right now on KIES... fortunately, my work does not check for bandwidth usage... well, at least I don't think they do...:victory::crying:

Hi guys,
I`ve bought international sgs3 some weeks ago with ICS, after using it some time, I decided update OS to JellyBean. After this I noticed that battery is discharging much faster than with ICS. Maybe there is a way to fix it?
Thanks for the answer,
same issue noticed here, try to disable google now no significant improvement observed!
No issues here after upgrade
No problems....
I've suffered from rubbish battery life since JB as well. Tried all sorts of different ROMs, tried trouble shooting using Better Battery Stats, and it's still not acceptable. I'm thinking about going to another phone, because i don't have the time to keep trying to sort it out.

Not the kernel - do the right thing and investigate what is causing it.
Then report in an informed manner.

OTA has been stopped. T-Mobile found bugs. Flash the complete KDZ and you should have no problems.
This happens when you disable auto rotation. If you keep auto rotation enabled it will fix the problem. Annoys the hell out of me, wish there was a way to fix it. This isn't an issue with jb though, but I went back to ics because of the jb battery drain

Yes i have auto rotation off thx for the tip. I though jelly bean gave you more battery

this is my first LG phone, for flashing KDZ does ones phones needs to be rooted? unlocked bootloaders?. my phone is bone stock.
Battery life has been reported as worse in JB. For me this is true.
You can flash a KDZ on the device in any state. Root or Unlock is not required.
Jason you can flash kdz without root and without bootloader

I have read alot of thread about jb update. Alot have said better battery life. better response . better stuff. But on some other i read it worsen your battery life. Now when i flash a rom i wait a week before battery settles in. So if i flash jb kdz and find it worse the ics can i flash ics back the same way i flash jb. This would be a downgrade ? Im on p76910g

Sent from my Rezound using xda app-developers app
Stock ics latest update. With 2.28 hboot and radios flashed. I dont wanna do roms anymore because of battery drain. No matter what i tried it would never beat the stock builds and kernals. I just want a mod to flash to have volume rocker
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app
Not possible with stock ICS sense ROM currently that I know of...only with non stock and nodded ROMs...you can have a sense ROM with this mod lime viper rez for example....just not stock as that's a build tree input as for battery drain you may of done something improperly...I'm on a 4.3 ROM and get about 11 hours on stock battery
Sent from my Rezound using xda app-developers app
Im doin everything right when i clean flash 4.3 roms. But like i said, i listen to music allday at work and only get 6 hours on 4.3. And get 10 on stock? All say apps downloaded, im tellin u i think its those kernals that are power hungry no wonder there snappy and slick cause there usin too much power and demand on the cpu. Ive tried govners and everything.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app
Not the kernel....its actually faster because its using less resources and bs than sense or prior roms...good example...sense rom can bee over 400mb and bloaded with unnecessary things where as a 4.3 rom only uses 175mb on average...did you read up on wakelocks at all...also what hboot and radios are you on...that can also play a big factor in battery drain...again on stock battery I get 11 hours
Sent from my Rezound using xda app-developers app
Yes i downloaded disable, got rid of all wake locks(location and exchange for example), deleted apps even further, hboot 2.28 with the radios that came with it, u get 11 hours with headphones playin on full volume? Doubt that. I just read the trayon 4.3 rom by iamtheoneneo or whatevet its called, he said hes gettin great battery life??

I dont see music. U kno im playin music once i take it off charge right? Music plays constantly while im at work. The.music drains the battery wayyyy to mush on jb. Maybe its apollo?? Ive tried just about everything. I literally watch the percentage drop while using jb. Wheres what i do.... Download jb rom and gapps. Boot to twrp. Install rom. Wipe dalvich cache. Install gapps. Reboot. Pretty straight forward... Any other suggestions? Different kernals for 4.3.?. My favorite rom was the carbon one. But draining too fast man

do you only wipe dalvik and cache? and its in the list if i were to scroll down more as i listened to it maybe for 2 hours while at work..my suggestion is stay stock...some newer jb roms will allow you to stay at 192 min and undervolt max to 1.2ghz and it will still run just fine and use less battery....stock max frequency on sense is 1.5 which drains more...when not in use i toggle unnecessaries off such as wifi and bluetooth and also i clear recents and use fast reboot so apps arent running in background....im pretty anal with my phone and how its setup
Me too dude, i have to have it all clean and clutter free . No i meant to say runn the clean10xromzip. Before installin the rom. Yea im not too worried about havin the black messegin bavkground and blue jellybean color. I do.like the volume rocker the most esecially i can change the song in my pocket if i need. How often do you use WiFi while streaming at work? I read in the dev thread (R&D) WiFi turned on drains battery in 4.3 right now.
Have you tried a 4.2.2 ROM like infection? I would get near same battery life as I do now on 4.3

4.0 is probably better on everything, cause its older, better battery too. But not as many bells and whistles. A lot of the lag can be eliminated just by disabling ripple effect on lock screen. The remaining with Trickster. I know you don't like to read too much, but if you went to p355 - 378 in Padawan thread, all lag issues (for most) disappeared. My phone never ran better. I've gotten comfortable with bells and whistles though. Stock is very bland for me now.

Sounds like modem issue. Try flashing a separate modem on top of. Don't know what other 2 ROMs you flashed? Not sure what the effect would be, but Padawan doesn't need gapps.
But I would check modem
