Hey guys! I have been trying to oc our desire X. If you guys can fix up something in my sources then please look at this commit. Here's what I have done till now
https://github.com/prototype-U/prototype-kernel-dx/commit/cc6f84393a229127f984ab2a8f35642323d95178
Please talk productive here. Gather as many devs as you can..

Do you get errors during compiling?

Overclock i.e Overclock the current CPU & GPU to higher frequency (maybe Cpu even to 2Ghz)

What's happening till now
Codes are compiling succesfully but the new freq ie 1.2ghz is not visible in the freq list.

Do we have pll2 or pll4 ?

pll4

That means processor clock isn't tied up with other clocks , right ?

Yes, in pll4 only CPU is OCed and not other parts thus reducing risks but performance boost not significant as compared to pll2 where all Buses are OCed like a pc where you can change multiplier in unlocked processor simply from bios

Ask @Bernd.Defy to help you. He made an overclock module us Defy Mini users who have Qualcomm Chipsets as we have a locked bootloader. We overclocked using pll2 as pll4 is not available in msm7225a. You guys can overclock both pll2 AND pll4 at the same time. PLL2 overclock improves graphics performance significantly and storage speed.. But beware that pll2 overclock can burn your eMMC.

Dual Core Mod for my MIUI ROM?

Hi guys! Slight newbie here...I'm using an HTC Evo V 4g for Virgin Mobile, I'm S-Off and currently running this Evo 3D MIUI ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1571021
I've noticed that I only have one core that's active. I was wondering if there were perhaps a Dual Core Mod that I could apply to this ROM? And if so, how would I do it?
Or should I maybe try a different kernel?
You could try a different kernel or mod, but are you sure the second core never activates. It usually stays inactive until a high enough load on the first core causes it to be needed.

There's also an app called Dual Core that you can download that is able to turn one cpu on/off, change frequencies, and governors for each cpu. You can get the app at anthrax-kernels.us and I don't think it's available in the market..

[Q] CPU Detected

Just a quick question. The HOX+ is supposed to have the TEGRA 3. How come in the CM 10.1 it is detected as an ARMv7?

armv7 is not a real CPU but the reference design
and actually what you see here is not detected but compiled in the rom

Oh, I did not know that. I switched back to AOKP, the CM felt a little sluggish for me.

[Q] HTC One X Plus Overclock ?

Hi guys. Just want to ask why is there no kernel yet that supports overclock for the International version of the Htc one x plus. I've been checking all of the kernel updates for this device for the past 7 months and there isn't any kernel yet that supports overclocking.... I mean the Htc one which came out a few months later than my device managed to be overclocked to 2.1Ghz. Is it because the device has some kind of lock that doesn't allow overclocking in the device ?

Why would you want to OC your phone? It is more than fast enough and it can get pretty hot on 1.7 GHz already.

As already said - nobody with a clear mind wants to OC this device
But it is of course possible. There is nothing preventing it

Even on the bloated stock ROM it used to run smooth
Why do people post questions such as these only to never respond when people post back?
This phone is a beast out of the box. Oc'ing it would only end the life span of the phone sooner than expected. Heck I keep it in power saving mode most of the time and while playing graphic intense games I notice next to no stutter.

It would be awesome to overclock it to 2.0ghz. Nice round number too
But you can overclock the GPU with Tegra overclock app (which i torrented) . Thats all i know so far with overclocking.
(Using elite kernel with Viperx+)
I'm sure it's possible but this is phone is already ridiculously hot and almost approaches painful to hold when you use it heavily. Just stick to the >1.7GHz
I'm sou sorry
I just want to know that I could oc the device, that doesn't I'm going to keep it in 2Ghz if I could oc it... its just nice to know that I could, like the HTC one..
I guess no one has developed a kernel yet to support OC...

S-OFF
Hey Guys,
I might consider it. I know the brick % is around 90%. So I consider doing it. I know it means a lot to the community. So give me alittle time to think about it. Its about a $400 risk.
Thanks
I'd be willing to give it a try on an international device if you ever need some testers for one

I hope if work on ATT, MAGIO TEAM will find the way and for International version. GO GO GO MAGIO TEAM
I'm currently using mine. However, if I can get my hands on another one for a decent price, I will donate one for the benefit of the community.
[EDIT] I've just bid on one on eBay. Fingers crossed. [/EDIT]
So we have hope for s off for tegra devices after all good luck
