[Q] has anybody faced this problem?SOLVED! - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

the thing is i was downloading pictures from google drive to my neo v and suddenly everything dissapears from my screen and the phone stucks there, nothing on screen and a light only everywhereon iti tried to reboot, could not do this,i took the battery off then it did reboot, showed lupus kernel logo but unfortunately no recovery options(blank screen again).
i flashed with flashtool 587 firmware showed SONY and XPERIA on screen, connected normally to my pc(could read sd card),but again blank screen
flashed second time 587 firmware and let it away the whole night.in the morning it was working normally again
has anybody faced a situation like this?what would you say that happens/happened?should i take it to sony service?the phone works fine till now....(fingercross)

You are rooted and if bootloader unlocked officially, its of no use taking it to Sony as you have void ur warranty.. It happens sometimes, rarest of the rare cases..

I don't think so, but might be.. You cannot be sure unless you have some proof that they are original batteries.. I guess they won't sell duplicate stuff.. Hows is everything going now? Fine?

no,screen is fading out all the time, one time works but the other fails ,starts creatin red vertical lines on the display, and it goes off...so i got to get it to a shop for repair,is useless now.
i thing also it might be the LCD display faulty,or fall from bed and display unclipped?
i only suppose.

i dont think its a faulty LCD, coz if it was faulty LCD then ur phone will boot normally, but it showed Lupus logo & then stucked... it may be a hardware fault..

just took it back from a local repairer shop and he said is a software problem, hardware seems to work ok ,he can not fix it,and if he takes it to sony they are not going to repair it for any reason because i unlocked my bootloader... ...but i flash with flashtool and it does not show the screen...
is something that i have not tried,is there another way from flashtool to format the whole phone?
relock bootloader and try with sony update center?

update:i locked my bootloader and took the phone back for repair.this time EMMA recognized the phone and flashed .587 firmware successfully and the phone runs fine!!!
i flashed it many times with flashtool and sony update service, only this program (EMMA)
did the job!everything ok then..but i still wanted to root, flash cwm etc...i unlocked my bootloader officially again but the the phone does the same thing it did before flash it with EMMA..so tomorrow i ll take it again for flashing it with EMMA and stay official and locked bootloader to be safe.
i tried EMMA myself but finds my phone locked so i can not flash it...

solution for this issue. Help please.

My phone was running z's rom 2.2 for x10 when I took it out of my pocket and the screen was black. The blue lights turned on but not the screen. When I turned off the phone, it wouldn't turn back on.
The computer won't recognize it for flash tool or se fix software or battery won't charge if I hook it up to the charger. what do I do? I have never had this issue before. help would be awesome.
thanks. is it bricked?
Solution sort of: I took my phone in to ATT service center and they said my phone and battery weren't working. So I got a new phone for free. (THANK GOD) Xperia x10 refurbished. So I got to mod it all over again. lol. They couldn't tell me what I did wrong or anything. So I guess I have a solution. So whoever has an issue like me, lets just hope your phone isn't dead like mine The other sad thing was they didn't have a battery for me so they are sending me one through the mail. by tomorrow. one day shipping yess!!!! Thanks for all those who put in helpful ideas. Doing some serious phone pimping pretty soon once I get my battery.
Can you boot into xRecovery?
I have a similar issue here.
I am using the CM6.1.3 custom ROM on my phone (Android 2.2). It ran out of battery(for its first time) this afternoon so I charged it and tried to turn it back on but it wouldn't. It just starts up until the Sony Ericsson logo and just fades out and a white light will turn on at the notification lamp for a while and then reboot again. I tried the Sony Ericsson update service to reinstall the software but I changed the firmware and baseband so it doesn't work and it doesn't seem to be able to boot into xRecovery either. What can I do? Help/advice appreciated!
Problem might be with the faulty offline charging.so your battery's flat.I believe there is a fix for the problem, you might need to borrow a battery, install the fix(check the Rom main page) then you should be good to go :
You could also flash a clean rom using the flashtool version 1.3 I think

thanks
Look in the development section as there are detailed descriptions on this already, but I can say not to worry as it's impossible to brick this phone, it can always be returned to stock. It's the only good thing about not having a cracked bootloader, we cannot be bricked

this is MY OWN video...
thanks for letting me know I'm not alone....
i sent it to the service center... the "smart" man there said it was a software issue, to which i did not agree...
we had a small quarrel then he took it and sad they'll troubleshoot it...
one week later i called they said it was ready
so i went to get it. and surprisingly enough, they HARD BRICKED IT !!!! :cyclops:
HOW IDIOTIC IS THAT ???
the man said they found out it was a touchscreen issue and replaced the touchscreen (which i believe is a total BS because the touchscreen WORKS even though i don't see what i'm doing but the screen accepts my touches as orders)
so he turned the phone ON and the sony ericsson logo came up, dimmed then bright, then it's supposed to dim again, right ???
NO , it stayed bright and phone wouldn't go past this step
he tried several times with no luck, so he had to take it back to try to fix it again but i think they will eventually replace the phone because they don't seem to KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING !!!
sorry to hear this .
I called service and they said they can return old andoid.factory.so it will not be ICS anymore but it will work.
God deal to me
I will let you know results

i went to them to get it after they restored old GB firmware.
the phone would not even start...
i believe they bricked it, because today i called to ask if it was fixed yet, and they said, no, it was sent to their main center in Alexandria.
which sounds like i'm getting a new phone !!

i tried this but it remained...
you either had a different issue or you just have to get your phone HOT enough to make it reappear
going tomorrow to get it from teh service center
i believe it won't be fixed...
just as i thought
they did NOT fix it,
but they REPLACED IT with a new device... i knew because 1st thing i did was check *#06# and found a different Serial Number
they told me they replaced he motherboard
after clarification, they meant they replaced THE WHOLE phone except the battery and bckcover
me too this happend to me too but i figured out i was using a bad mod for my ray and the problem dissapeard
i had no MODS
i had original STOCK GB .42 updated to .62 then to ICS .562 then to ICS .431
Hmm Reflash Firmware>? maybe it could work or try freeing up ram
Very similar to a problem I had: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvTFg2J0L4o
The blackout would happen as well as flickering. Not only that, but a weird clicking noise could be heard near the USB port, and the sound did not work at all. I sent it back and got a new one.

I could be wrong, but I don't think there is a fix. Flashing a new ROM will not solve the problem. It's a hardware issue. Only way to fix it is to send for repair or replacement. I tried everything when it happened to me and nothing worked.

I have beed handed an X10 mini Pro that won't boot. Not sure where to start.

I was given an X10 mini Pro (U20i). Battery was flat, but I charged that through an external charger.
When I try to start it, it vibrates for a short time, then shows a backlit screen with black on it. Then it goes dark and after a few seconds lights up again. This goes on as an endless loop. I don't know if it was been modified already (unlocked BL or flashed a new ROM etc.)
I have tried the SEUS tool. It flashed new firmware but hasn't changed anything.
As I can't get into the recovery mode or any other mode I am at a loss on what I can try next.
What options do I have?

I was afraid someone would say that. I will have a friend of a friend who fixes phones at much lower fee look at it first before going to a sony service center since the 1 year warranty of my phone has ended 2 days ago anyway. This is the second sony ericsson phone that died days after the warranty ended, SE really knows how long their phones will "live". haha.
Thanks so much anyway.

sounds silly but have you tried holding the menu and power button together at the same time for 10 seconds? and i thought all mobile phones now automatically come with a 24 month warranty to cover 2 year contracts?

[Q] please help, xperia mini pro sk17i blank screen won't boot no logo

Dear All,

man i'm sorry , but you have bricked Screen !
Hi
What do you want to do?
If your screen is broken, you could "do" something via ADB, but not so much.
PERHAPS you could delete your lockscreen (you can do, search), make the device boot wisthout sim cadr (=no pin), install (adb install) something like airdroid or similar (i do not know such apps), launch it (inside ADB with "am" + something) and hope you can "use" your phone via PC.
Ok looks more like SCI-FI!

try flashing custom kernel and a new ROM , If that doesnt help.... u have to go to customer care..
Re:all
thanks all, but i'm sure that lcd is fine (maybe), because, before that (suddenly restart) my phone is allready fine with all function normally (although my lcd is broken but touch function is normal). until restart happen, my phone was not start up again. in lcd i see blank, no logo and anything. just vibrate 2 times. in that condition i think, i can make a call for test but the warning from sim operator said that my phone was turn off.

maybe use the usb cable to know that my phone (until flashing rom or kernel) was working or not, and if i can getting that, means, my phone trouble in lcd.
i will keep out for cust care if i can solving my trouble by self, because maybe if i have to go cust care they will charge me cost not much different with new buying this phone.

Well Man i say is not software problem. If you flash stock firms, custom roms and kernels you manipulate all the system if the phone dont turn on is a ardware problem. Search a tuto how to open you phone and see if dont have nothing wrong. The conection screen "flex".you see all ok buy a new screen on eBay. Try. After all that phone is very important for you.
Press thnks if I helped to your mind.

actually i had the exact same (or similar) problem after 6 months of ownership.
1) broken screen, dropped phone several times, everything still works no trouble
2) random restarts
3) boot problems, restarts got more frequent
4) can no longer boot, only a lit black screen, no SE logo
Does that sound familiar?
I understand it could be a HW problem but the only thing I can think of is the digitaliser/screen. Try to replace that and see far you get, you can find a replacement cheap from ebay (they come free with tools) and also disassembly guides are on ifixit
please post your results!!
Mini Pro screen is really vulnerable, so even a little defect can cause further issues.
I had a Mini Pro which its screen cracked when I dropped it, it was fully functionable for weeks then one Friday touchscreen didn't response anymore.
I visited a technician and paid about 4,000 Philippine pesos to get it fixed.
Second defect happened after I came back to Korea, when I dropped it toward the wooden frame of my bed.
At first the screen had several purple horizontal lines, then soon it completely blacked out.
It still exists inside my drawer, and since I loved its keypad, I recently ordered $20 screen set in Aliexpress.
I have a question: Did you fix your device after writing this thread? Was the problem related only with the screen?

[Q] Vanilla Z2 stuck at purple boot screen

I am in need of expert help.
Last night I rebooted my Z2 and it starts normal up until the purple screen with the wave pattern and then it just stays on that screen and wont boot further.
I have not unlocked or flashed any new firmware it's the stock Android 4.4.4 pushed by Sony. I tried an hard reset but still the same, I even let the phone run this screen until the battery was empty but still every boot it sticks at the same screen.
Only way to shut the phone down once this screen appears is power button and volume up. Any ideas how to get it to boot again? Phone is only 3-4 month old to. Maybe get hold of the original firmware from Sony?
Any help greatly appreciated.

According to Sony it sounds like a software issue and I should use PC Companion.
Will have to RMA it and wait 3 weeks for it to be returned. Weird never had issues with my Galaxy S3 even & CM11, 4 month old vanilla Z2 bugged out on me ;-(

Seeing how this most likely a software issue you could have easily recovered it using this it doesn't void warranty so you could have saved 3 weeks and the hassle of RMA it back to sony.
