Ive just flashed the taiwan 510 update - the phones now just switching itself off after 2 mins I tried a factory reset, but nothings changed.. anyone else had this? wondering if I can go back to 475.. anyone know how?
... extra info:
after I flashed, on the first boot the language selection was very choppy and a message kept flashing on and off saying "switch off phone or boot" or something .. after I did a factory reset I saw a similar screen with two large boxes (and nothing else on the screen) saying "power off phone" and "start using phone" in large boxes and nothing else on the screen.. looked a very odd
I had a hard time with that one..took it off went back to 475. Kept going to sleep and had to manually rest all the time.I have not found a good 510 yet. I'll wait for the Sony update..hopefully soon!

Did you touch "Optimized backlighting" option ?
Activate it, and restart your phone (it will take 1/2 minutes to restart.... "long boot" )
If that not gonna help, try to do Sony Update Service (full reset)

I have no idea what's going on with my XDA II. I have not done anything to modify or upgrade it recently. But suddenly the phone froze one day. I tried doing a soft reset but the phone just shut off. Kept pushing power button but nothing worked.
I then tried a hard reset which didn't work either. I finally just removed the battery and the sim card and then replaced them. My phone finally booted up and went through the standard hard reset sequence. I restored my backup information into the phone. Later on it froze again...with the same problem.
I finally got my phone working, but it freezes almost everytime I try to do something. When i do a reset, whether hard or soft, I get stuck at the boot screen with nothing happening. I reset it about 8 or 9 times before i get back into the phone and go through the intro to WM2003 again.
When i do get in, i can maybe make a call or two before the phone freezes up again. Don't know what to do, but really confused. I was going to contact o2 because the phone is still under warranty. However, I have upgraded to the TMobile 1.6 rom.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this please let me know. If not, does anyone have the original o2 rom that I could get a hold of? Thanks for all the help in advanced.
Does the phone freeze after you restore backup or does it do it even when you use it from scratch after hard reset?
It freezes no matter what. Most of the time, it'll refuse a hard reset. I would reset it, hard reset it and the phone will just load up on the Tmobile screen and stay there. Sometimes i'll get that circle thing that shows the phone is doing a process...but it'll go in circles forever.
Sometime down the line it'll actually let me through. Then i'd do the whole WM2003 intro again.
So to answer that question, it's not only on my restore, the phone consistently freezes up.
Looks like it's time to avail of the warranty and have your phone replaced.
I know, but in order to do that I have to get the original rom because i'm on tmobile 1.6 rom.
Mate, did you try to reinstall the 1.6 rom? Maybe download the latest ROM version and try to install it from your dead device...
My phone is just freezing on the boot screen and sometimes i can actually get in and use the phone for a while. Does this still constitute it as dead?
Since I can't get past the boot screen most of the time, I can't connect the phone to the computer to install the 1.6 rom again.
However, I did get past the boot screen once and did manage to sync it with my computer and reinstall the 1.6 rom. No help...same problem...
Ok, i finally got in and managed to update the rom to the new O2 rom. Everything was working fine for a long time. I used the phone and no problems. I left the phone on the sync cradele over night and by morning the phone was frozen. Reset and getting stuck at boot again...
ANyone have any ideas?
i also get this problem.
I have found many ppl got this problem, but no one has solution.
so what is everyone doing about it?
Hello Friends,
I just got my G-tab today morning and rite now it not working (Not even 12 hours)
Its still intact in factory condition with Android 2.2 and all latest updates. I haven't jail broke it yet.
I just downloaded 'LaunchPro' from G-Market and the screen got hanged so I rebooted.
It shows Viewsonic Screen with birds >> g Tablet logo >> Tap n Tap >> Tap and Tap disappears and gets stuck in 'n' and 'paw' screen.
I am sure there should be a cure for this as I haven't done anything yet. Also its not in boot loop. Just stays on the screen.
Please help me.

Congrats, you have somehow bricked your gtab before you even tried to flash a custom rom.
You're a code red.

It's not bricked. I've seen this happen on stock ROM's when multiple launchers are installed but no default launcher has been selected. Try a data wipe from recovery (if you have an early stock recovery look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1030915).
If that clears it up then you can reinstall whatever launcher(s) you like just make sure to make one default.

Really? Cool! Since I used the stock rom for about 5 minutes before I ditched it, I'm happy someone else knows about it more than I do.

I ditched it pretty quickly, too. In this case the first place I noticed this problem was on one of Roebeet's stock-based ROMs (Mountain Laurel, I think). Another one of those "It's failing for everyone but me" kind of moments so I decided to research it. Took a few times to duplicate it successfully since it doesn't happen on every stock ROM either. More likely on 1.2 based stuff.
Hello everyone.
I ran into a serious mishap with my brand new work phone. I was handed a HTC radar c110 with Windows phone 7.5 to work with, but the phone had a little issue with calls and I decided to do a factory reset to see if it would sort it out.
So I searched on how to do a factory reset, and took a quick run to the bathroom before I could complete it. But my friend decided to finish it off for me, and somehow mispressed some button I guess, because a screen saying "Omega system loader menu" came up instead, with "FFU method" and 2 options, "MTPz" and "TFTP protocol". She took a blind guess at TFTP protocol, and when I came back the phone wouldn't turn on, it keeps resetting every few seconds and only says "TFTP protocol" on the bottom of the screen. Sometimes an image asking to connect the phone to the pc comes up.
I have tried the factory reset after this a couple of times, but when the phone restarts, this TFTP protocol image still comes up and the phone won't start. My guess is I have effed up the OS. What do I do now? Any guess? I don't want to go to my new job on monday and say that I screwed up the phone they gave me yesterday :S.
Any help is very appreciated. Thank you very much.
EDIT: I can get to USB host mode screen (white screen with "enter usb host mode"), and the white screen where you can "image crc" and "factory reset", not sure if it's called bootloader screen? I'm pretty sure I can get somewhere from one of these screens, but I'm not familiar with rom flashing and bootloaders at all.
EDIT2: I have been investigating further and I can now access the bootloader mode (the factory reset one), update mode (the omega system loader one) and usb host mode. I just need to figure out how to flash a rom (preferably an official one, as it's a company phone) into it now.
EDIT3: I got it fixed, not really sure how, but trying different things ended up booting the phone as normal. I am back to having the same problem as before though, but better than having a bricked phone I guess.
any idea what the solution ended up being?
I think reverting back to my original stock rom might be the answer for me, how did you do it?
I've just managed to do the same..
Any help as to how to sort out this issue? TFTP Protocol appears at the bottom of the screen with all the other symptoms referred above.. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP.
hi there,
i downloaded a screen resolution changing app that allows the phone to boot with a different DPI, and by mistake typed in a ridiculousness number-
(somethine like 1400) and didnt get the chance to abort it before the phone reset itself. i dont think anyone has every done something this dumb.
ive tried a few resolutions before the mistype and they all worked fine but now the phone refuses to boot, stuck on the opening screen.
ive tried to delete all cache and returning it to original factory settings, nothing seems to work,
would very much appreciate assistance if anyone has ever encountered anything like this

Try re-flashing your firmware using Odin.
Sent from my SGS II
Before the incident, I had root, no unlocked bootloader, stock JB, v20h.
What had happened was I was trying the Font Installer app in th Play Store because of the added customization that would have been nice.
I found a cool font, and I backed up my current fonts and then pressed install. SuperSU asked for permissions like normal and then my phone restarted.
Then it was so that my phone was stuck at the T-Mobile boot animation after the LG Logo. For about 15 minutes. This is where I believed something was starting to go very wrong. After contemplating for a few extra minutes, I decided to just take out the battery and restart. Same outcome. I thought of all the things that were on the phone thus far because I had just gotten it recently, and decided that it wouldn't hurt me to just do a hard reset by pressing home + vol down + power. Everything went smoothly. Except for the fact that even after I did that, it was leaving me at the T-Mobile screen.
I decided to look on the forums for development and tried to do the unbrick method, to no avail after about 3 hours now. I used the LG User Support Tool and since I hadn't updated to V20f, I decided to do that to see if it would solve my problem. It still didn't, and I'll be honest, I'm a little upset just typing this right now.
I also tried the Upgrade Recovery option and it warmed my heart to see that the process was actually starting. But right at the screen where it says that it is supposed to be downloading something, it freezes up and nothing happens no matter how long I wait. I saw somewhere that it should be a glowing red bar, but I do not see that anywhere, it is just frozen, saying Time Elapsed: 00:12. And before anyone asks, yes, I ran absolutely everything as an administrator.
Is there any possible way to bring this phone back? Any help would be immensely appreciated. Thank you in advanced.

did you hard reset? then turn off your phone disconnect the battery, connect to the pc holding the volume up button? then try the Update Recovery?
i would just go through that process over and over until it works, theres not really a way to brick this phone i've heard...

Thank you for your reply! I have tried hard resetting multiple times, but I had removed some bloatware apps (I will quarantine them next time instead because I don't wanna go through this ever again) and I have tried the kdz method to only be stuck at 15% every time when I followed instructions to the pixel. I have tried to do it on windows 7 and windows 8. I have also tried the fastboot method by lelus, and that manages to "work" but I am still stuck at the tmobile boot screen afterwards. I have gotten the hang of the process of getting into the fastboot, but what do I do from there? I chose to flash ics xloader and uboot, but the process goes by so fast, I'm not even sure it is doing anything. The LG Tool has really gotten me nowhere, it just gives me a lovely error and then cannot continue the upgrade recovery process.
It said somewhere that after I flash through the fastboot I then have to try the kdz method, so I am going to do that now and see if it works. I don't know if there would be a difference between flashing a jb kdz or an ics kdz, but I will just do ics to be on the safe side.
I am quite happy to say that flashing the ics kdz was successful, and my phone is now up and running.

im terrible with fastboot, i used the unlock the bootloader for noobs with an offline flash.
heres what i did to get out of bootloops....
alright, this is all from memory but the offline flash didnt work as well for me when stuck in weird bootloops.
Step one-going back to online flash---->
A---
the easiest way i found was to go to C:/windows/system32/drivers/ect/hosts
right click>open with notepad
there should be two lines at the bottom
"127.0.0.1 csmg.lgmobile.com
127.0.0.1 csmgdl.lgmobile.com"
i would cut them out and paste them in a text doc in the same folder for reference later...
but either way you should remove them from the hosts file and save
B----
Make sure your small server is closed! once you minimize it it should go down to your status bar (shttps)
Step two-LGMS---->
make sure you have LG mobile support installed or install it.
open lg mobile support
install needed drivers for your phone
power your phone off/remove the battery
put battery back in
connect it to your computer holding down the volume up button
S/W UPDATE mode should pop up, if it doesn't preform and hardreset and try again til it works (it will)
then in the top right corner there should be a button or two click them both until you see
"restore update" or Update restore or something to that effect
select that
and let it ride man
i got my phone ****ed many times and just had to keep redoing this until it worked. if your bootloader is truely unlocked you can probably go through all that again and get CM10 working, i did but im still working through kinks.....
GOOD LUCK feel free to ask any more Q's about this process if you run into any problems
