Does anyone else have an issue where during a call you pull the phone away from your face and it switches to another app? For me it ends up going to the clock app. I have to pull down the notification bar and click on my call to get back to that screen.
Running 10.2 8/24 build.
Is the screen turning off when you hold the phone up to your ear? Almost sounds like a proximity sensor issue.

Yes
Ya this happens on some AOSP ROMs...
I've just made a habit of pressing the power button before I put it to my face.

Ah. I've been more conscientious about watching the screen turn off as I move it back to me ear and making sure the screen turns off.

My power button is acting like its being pushed 2x every time i hit it. I turn my screen on and it turns it off. Is this a known issue? Lets hope not a hardware failure because of 1.5.

This happens to me as well. I don't think it's software, as it happens in recovery as well. I've accidentally formatted as a result.
Same. Not the format but came close to flashing a mod ghastly isn't supported by the phone. ****ty button design if you ask me. Volume rocker is a ***** to use. And the power is too sensitive and finicky
Hi all,
I have the same issue also. Anybody already resolved this issue? Thnx!
the og evo's power button and rockers were perfect. Pretty amazing that they made both worse for the 3d. That power button sometimes makes me want to switch phones. Awful. How that made it out of testing I have no idea.
Seems to have been a software problem. I get this problem only on certain tons.

Has anyone had an issue with the screen locking once your call begins to connect? This happens even if I don't put the phone to my ear enabling the proximity sensor. Once call is over it stays locked and I have to hit the power button to turn phone back on.
Running CleanROM DE 1.4.
New phone but haven't had this issue with old one. I think it's an app causing it because it didn't do it on a clean flash.
HELP WOULD BE GREAT!

I don't understand what you're asking. You want to keep the screen on while in a call or you want the screen off while in a call?

My screen seems to shut off when I'm using it, I have to push power button to turn it back on to end call so why does it not stay on or when u move it shouldn't the screen come back on? My IncS always stayed on while in call, just wondering?

You can set your power button to end calls. Settings > Accessibility and choose the option. But the screen should turn back on after the sensor senses that its not against your face. Not sure why its not for your setup.
I changed what u mentioned, now I'll wait for a call lol and thanks

You can also click your video camera button to turn the screen on.
I noticed that my captive buttons (back button and home button) doesnt stay lit up. Is this normal?

Yes they only light up when the prox sensor detects a low light level.

Your ringer is turned off. Is it still there if you turn ringer volume up?

That means your speaker phone is off. It's supposed to represent a Soundwave frequency but looks more like a heartbeat ekg reading. If you turn your speakerphone on it will disappear.

Anybody remember that old tv gameshow called "To Tell the Truth". Here is my input on what that symbol is. It is your Noise Reduction icon. While on a call hit your menu button and I believe you should have an option to turn it on or off. Seriously....that is what it is. Has nothing to do with volume or speakerphone. It changes when you go on speakerphone because it disables on speakerphone I think.

You're the man!
So I'm guessing nose reduction doesn't work with the speaker phone then which is why it disappears.

Yeah, I edited my post to say that at the same time you were posting. Seems the Canadian JB ROM took that feature away so I can't verify 100% myself.
You are definitely right!
