First unlock your bootloader then flash via fastboot this kernel. When booting press volume up and you are in recovery.

can i flash 475 HK ?

Will it wipe DATA and/or Internal Storage ?

I tried to flash, but the program said "waiting for device".
What does this mean, I don't have unlock bootloader? or I'm on 475?

yes you need to have unlocked bootloader ( make sure you backup TA before unlocking ) then flash this recovery and flash the rom in cwm.

This custom rom is compatible with lock bootloader now...so I wanna test it out...does anybody with lock bootloader successfully installed this rom and between ExMIUI and MiniCMSandwich Lite which one is better in your opinion...
Thanks.
I tried them both yesterday, just to get an idea. No problem at all with my locked bootloader. Anyway, since I only catched a glimpe of both ROMs, I can't post a real review. You should try them both and decide if you like them

You got bootloop and fc's as you did not clear data.
@Till: these roms will have no problems to run on locked bootloader. As the ROMs are compatible with the stock kernel.
To revert back you need to restore the back up using CWM. In this whole flashing the zip and reverting back process, you just are making sure that you do not touch /system. That way, you do not mess up with nAa's CWM (its installed in /system only), and so everything will be fine.
In case you get a bootloop, just flash the ROM again by flashtool, or repair using PCC and all will be fine.
Thanks,
Rick

See, the nAa's recovery installed on locked bootloaders are installed on chargemon and charger files which are there at /system/bin of your phone memory.
Now, suppose you install a ROM which is based on the Stock Kernel. To do this you flash the zip you got from xda or somewhere. While this zip is being flashed, the /system files of the stock ROM are replaced by the /system files of the ROM you are flashing. This will cause the chargemon and charger files to be overwritten, and so, CWM messes with itself. And rest of the installation will fail, giving you bootloop or brick.
The kamarush ROM, which is supported on locked bootloader, takes care that it doesn't replace the /system. Thus, nAa's CWM remains intact, and you can successfully flash the ROM.
Thanks,
Rick

Not true. Before installing the ROMs, you NEED to wipe /system. You can do it via CWM (Mounts and storage, wipe /system, /cache and /data. Then Wipe dalvik cache in advanced settings). Otherwise, you'll end up with a lot of fc.

When you are doing a /system wipe using CWM, then CWM knowd how to protect itself. It will not delete the contents of /bin and /xbin files.

Yea. Right. You are correct. In the first post where I mentioned not touching /system, I meant that the ROMs which have been made to work with locked bootloader make sure that they do not touch the /system. The zip files have no instruction about clearing data. So all data has to be cleared manually using CWM, and nAa is clever enough to make sure that his CWM knows how to protect itself. . (I sometimes so badly wish that I had the brains of Kamarush and nAa. I could look at the smali code and know what it means. With my current brain, I have to spend a whole week to figure out what's what, and then editing is a separate story ).
Thanks,
Rick

Yo HAVE to wipe /system, because the current system will conflict with the new system.
In nAa CWM you wipe the whole /system (with /bin and /xbin) while it's running, and after wipe if you restart you will stuckat SONY logo, so don't reboot just install from zip. It will start Aroma installer and before the installation you have. to choose the locked bootloader version. It will install the ROM with nAa's CWM and now you can reboot and enjoy the ROM.

0. Get ROOT and install CWM. -> Only for Locked Bootloader
1. You must do a Full Wipe in CWM (System/Data/Cache/Dalvik-Cache)!
2. Copy the ROM to your SDCard
3. Flash ROM in the Recovery
4. Reboot & enjoy
5. First boot is loooooong
I don't get it in no. 1
I already told you. Start CWM Recovery on boot. Go to "Mounts and storage" and format /system, /data and /cache. Then go back, head to advanced settings and clear dalvik cache. Then install zip.
Till-Kruspe said:

Here's what he meant.
You just clear everything (in kamarush's thread it's mentioned) and then you do not go for a re-boot. You directly choose the zip you downloaded. Now the zip will ask you if you have locked bootloader or not. If you select locked bootloader, the ROM installation will start with the installation of CWM (which you had cleared along with everything else), and then rest of the ROM will get installed. Then reboot, and everything will be fine.
Thanks,
Rick

Basic recovery comes with those 4 options only so nothing is lost...only CWM has more options
Now...don't ever do a factory reset and wiping cache before installing new rom...when you install a new rom it itself formats them

[SCRIPT] SuperWipe Script - Use before flashing ROMs

SuperWipe Script
This script was created by mike1986 and he give me permission to port this from his Android Revolution HD ROMs.
So all credits to him and his team!
SuperWipe is used to clean your current phone partitions to make it ready for a brand new ROM version to be installed.
This script will erase and format your data, system, boot and cache partition.
Your SD card will remain untouched FAT32 and it's recommended to leave it like that.

DOWNLOAD for ICS
DOWNLOAD for JB
So before you flash any ROMs, flash the SuperWipe script in recovery. It will wipe out the partitions and reboot back into recovery.
Make sure you flash a ROM or else you can't boot up! (Unless you flash an RUU)
Thanks to navmad for testing. It works fine!

So this script will avoid use "adb erase boot" every time that we want to do a clean install?
But what's the difference between flash new boot.img over an older boot.img and erase boot partition before flashing?
I thought that it didn't matter if boot partition isn't wiped (unless boot.img is corrupt or something else).
EDIT: it doesn't work for me, superwipe doesn't work neither adb erase/format boot do. I think it has something related to S-ON devices, precisely on carriers' smarthpones, like mine, I think that Vodafone locks boot partition with S-ON for some part to store simlock or something...
I get error 1 ? When flash it ?
You sure you tried the right version? If you are on hboot 1.24 and lower, use the ICS version. If you are on hboot 1.25, use the JB version. Also, make sure you have the right recovery installed.
I think it can't touch boot partition, because it's locked on S-ONs, ian't that why we have to flash kernel manually through fastboot after flashing new rom?

Why do you want to flash a wipe script. The wipe options in recovery are more than capable to handle such things.
And just flash whatever boot.img you want, it will overwrite the previous one without any issues.
