Is there a way to get iOS on the DNA? Dual boot preferred... and no, not looking for a ROM that looks/feels similar to iOS. I'm asking because I have an iTunes account with some games on it that are not available for Android. Would be nice to be able to play those games on my DNA & not have to bother with my iPhone anymore.
Nope.

Blasphemy...
ITunes patents all of there software and features so even if it was possible, someone would get sued.
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
That's how Apple gets people hooked to their devices.
Not possible, because iOS is specially tuned for certain system chips and specs. It's not like Android where it can be ported to any hardware. And even if it was possible, Apple would sue the heck out of whoever does it, whoever uses it, the manufacturer of the phone, Google, Microsoft, and Starbucks, just because they can.

This is a sad day for pure android lovers. We will be missing the main man behind cyanogenmode. We will be missing samsung,HTC,Acer and may be LG from the main android scenario cause moto will get the first mover advantage for any new android release.Google will treat all other manufactures as second citizens and guss what Microsoft is waiting for this, they are already offering profit sharing between partners.

from the link in the first post:
In one of most important news from Android hacking scene, Steve Kondik aka Cyanogen has announced via his Facebook profile that he now works for Samsung Mobile. This lead developer and founder of CyanogenMod also stated that his side project CM is not affiliated in any way with this employer.
There is no word on how this will impact CyanogenMod, but there shouldn’t be much. CyanogenMod is a result from community of devs, with Steve contributing significantly to it.

May be but I am concerned about the second problem. Users don't want android to be in the hands of one company.we need more companies following android it can give us more choice more freedom and value for money.obviously we need Samsung for sgs2,HTC for their sense, sony for that PlayStation controlls,Acer for their value for money approach and LG for their **** coding.

Honestly, when I look around in the XDA forums and see how many mods you can find for a given phone model, most of them running faster and better then stock rom, I always wonder how come none of these talented programmers are not hired by the phone companies. Most of the time, in the software team they have people who miss the passion that these devs have.
On the other hand, it will be interesting to see how much he will be able to work for Samsung, as any big company has a lot of rules and regulations to follow, that he might not be very fond of.
So what's next?
We can expect Microsoft to pick up RIM and HTC much like it picked up Nokia, lock down computer hardware manufacturers with stringent guidelines and add stores to compete with Apple on service. Apple will aggressively build out its cloud infrastructure and beef up AppleTV to fend off the XBox. Google will continue to beef up its productivity apps and focus on consumer hardware. All three will compete on the next generation of answers-oriented, Siri-like search.
Even the carriers could be in play, with former Apple President Jean-Louis Gassée predicting that Google will acquire TMobile. Sound crazy? Comon Google needs stores to compete with Apple and Microsoft. And owning a carrier just raises the stakes for the other two even further. Its no crazier than Google buying Motorola. Game on.

Cyanogen to make Android 'more awesome'
Free whitepaper – CIOs feel the pressure to optimize the online experience
The creator of one of the most popular Android modification kits has taken a job as a software engineer with Samsung's mobile device unit.
Steve Kondik, the hobbyist hacker behind CyanogenMod software, confirmed the appointment with Samsung Mobile on his Facebook page and to several bloggers.
“I will be working on making Android more awesome,” he told AndroidandMe.
In a dispatch to AndroidGuys, Kondik indicated he had no plans to step away from CyanogenMod:
... it's a job and I'm glad that I can use what I learned from all this to do something cool in the real world I'll still be doing code review and some leadership for CM, but I'll be keeping it legit like always. ... I think we really broke away from the modding community. Most of us are professional engineers or in the field some way or another.

I'm also thinking about blackberries, but what Android has to offer is just too good. Blackberry is going to be dead if RIM doesn't pull something out quick. I really like the form factor of them, but just that their OS is just crap compared to Android/iOS/Windows 7.

Why? Is there anything you can't do with Android?
Even if you don't tinker too much with os or use custom roms, you can do much more on Android.
1.Media Player ( with audio effects)
2.Office apps
3.Navigation
4.EMails
5. Social apps
6. Gaming
Everything that is required and much more is there.
On the other hand if you are bored with Android and don't want yourself to be tempted to flash roms again and again, you can buy a blackberry.
If you don't care about equalizers and audio effects, go for a windows
7 phone. Mango RTM (released to manufacturers) update is already available and official will be available after September 27.

I don't think anyone could have said it better
I had a Blackberry curve for about 4 days before I decided I hated it. I went back to the store and traded it for my P500h.
The blackberry is just simply a phone with some gadgets added to it and lots of messaging and email capability.
The android it just so much more than that. There are so many things which the blackberry comes short, like media playing, customization, games, file management, user modification, etc. It just seems silly to go back to something so rudimentary in comparison. But if all you want is a phone that does email, messaging, calling, and some music playing, get a blackberry. Or better yet, get a cheaper not so smart phone and get the same thing.
If you want an android phone with the look and feel of a blackberry you could get a motorola droid pro.

The only pro of Blackberry over other smartphones is... the userbase.
Some people are already attached to their BBMs and with these people a lack of BBM will cost you socially or in business when you find yourself out of the loop. If you're faced with that situation, then you can say you need a Blackberry.
For other cases, with the same price you can get a much better phone running Android, Windows or even Symbian. Alternatively, get a cheap, old model Blackberry for BBM and another mid-range Android with custom ROM for everything else you want out of a Smartphone.

Because they're childish. They believe that because they have a Crapple device they own the wold. They Couldn't possibly share an application with us Androidians !
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
They're simply afraid of Android overtaking their role. Altrough Android has a larger market share than iOS, still the iShits are counted as something absolutely brilliant... yet many people are ignorant enough to believe that all smartphone software comes preinstalled, not realizing that Android, Windows Phone, Symbian, Bada, Maemo and iOS are operating systems, not firmware...
I'm guessing to some, they feel that it loses the 'exclusivity' factor of owning an iPhone app wise.
After losing Temple Run, having Instagram on Android was another 'blow' I guess lol.
since when did that piece of junk become a status symbol rather than just a tool? I really feel sorry for people like them who think an "app" is a members only party. really? and app?
/pathetic
Just typical iSheep who use Apple devices as a status symbol. Exclusive apps are a way for them to think they have a better device. Not that the iPhone is a bad device, but the iSheep make me not want to own one because I do not want to be a part of that demographic.
A couple months ago word broke that HTC was looking to break into the phablet market and today those claims are resurfacing again from numerous mobile tech sites. Specs include 1080p 5' screen and a quadcore S4 chip along with its own scribe pen. Do you think HTC can make a splash in this market, should it have sense or vanilla android and what specs do you want to see?

They just changed Sense for the better in Sense 4.0, and soon in Sense 4.1 which will improve on Sense further.
Edit: We also already have a thread about this somewhere with actual news posted.
I've checked the play store and I can't for the life of me find a decent app to control my apple TV from my phone similar to the "remote" app on iPhone and iPad. I've checked here and couldn't find it either. The apps I've checked out all require some sort of login and it really seems to be a scam. My apple TV is wirelessly attached to my network. Any way to control this that any of you know of?
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
I'll just wish you luck now. Apple products are not known for being compatible with anything but other Apple products. It's an intentional part of their proprietary business strategy. To make matters worse, most of the people with the brains to pull something like that off probably don't care to make it, or don't want to risk ending up in court.
Yeah that's what I keep coming up with... My wife and I both have iPads and she has an iPhone. We control the apple TV with those in our room and with my harmony one in the living room. I've never been a huge fan of their business strategy and that is why I refused to buy an iPhone. They make a nice product but they allow almost ZERO integration with anything else.

Apple tv remote app alternative for Android
You can try "Remote for Apple TV - CiderTV" app. It lets you to control 2, 3 or 4 gen Apple TV from your Android phone or tablet via WiFi. Compatible with phones without infrared support. And you do not need to jailbreak your Apple TV.
