My phone is showing "searching for satellites" since I have rooted my Micromax canvas A116. Please help

you have not told us any info on how you rooted like cursed4ever or many ways from here
i can nly suggest you this page.its easy like saying 1 2 3
and you can go back to your rom if you flashed if not breroot is easy too with this method

It connects offline also...
U don't hav to b online 24*7..
Just download epo data once for faster positioning... N turn on agps of ur device n connect..

i gave it to the guys at MMX service....... its been today...... they are not able to make it.....
givin reason that it goes to same old condition after a restart......

Hi bishu any luck with your A101
Correct me if I am wrong but you started facing issues after you flashed the JB rom
Also I dont see anywhere the rom you flashed was meant for A101.

First of all congrats!!! U have guts dude.. Appreciate that.. Now let me tell you something "MMX phones are un-brickable" someone said on this forum.. And that is true.. As our phone dose not rely on any specific driver situation like Sumsung or HTC phones. That is because of the SoC MediaTek chipset.. Thats Awesome.. Now let me rescue you..

Like I tried all these different ROMs on xperia x10 mini pro u20i, upgraded it to JB 4.1.2, and its working fine, and all these were possible because of Sony's PC Companion that helped me to get my phone out of boot loops an all, now since I don't have that kinda apps for Micromax's A101 (not even in there official site) is there any other way where I can bring the fone back to its factory settings if anything goes wrong while custom rom installation or upgradation from ICS 4.0.4 to JB 4.2 or 4.3. (I already have those drivers and tools for A101 that was there mentioned though.However I never got those driver files in the phone when I bought it though)
If yes please let me know bout a- the best kernel for A101
b- JB 4.2 or 4.3 (preferably) ROM plus and GAPPS required
c- The stock kernel or some application like Sony has update service app for sony phones(u knw just in case..)

How to root micromax A101
I have rooted n number of phones and this phone does not root.
The micromax A101 has android 4.0.4 version. So when go to settings>about> and tap build number a multiple times
the developer mode does not enable.
This sucks.

thats only one prob in rooting
u have to download this app
PDA NET+
there in go to setting inside it..... it will ask for developer blaah blaah, then click something(yu will figure it out)
and somehow from heaven u will c developer mode,
activate it.................THATS IT
done

Believe me! Nothing is wrong with your device! Just flash the stock ROM back and that's it...
Kitkat Rom for micromax
I have finally rooted my phone and i can't find kitkat rom for micromax a101.
One website says it has the rom
but when try downloading it, the website asks to complete the survey
after completing the survey nothing happens and no file is downloaded.
If anyone has the kitkat rom please upload it on media fire. I urgently need it.

last night i tried to port a rom through dsixda kitchen, followed every instruction correctly.
then flashed that rom on my canvasHD, it didn't work.
so i restored my backup through CWM, the phone started but there was no imei & it was also stating unknown baseband.

after formating it showed the window with the green ring, but after that when i clicked on download it did not detect my phone,
and now it's not even powering up.
is there anything that can be done to bring my canvas hd back to life.
now is the time when i really need your help, plz tell me what i should do .

Are the drivers installed properly on your PC?
I would recommend uninstalling it and than installing it again.
I faced a problem when it was not detecting my CHD too and when I checked the device manager the drivers were gone.

the phone is not starting even with the battery attached to it, it's just not powering up:crying::crying::crying:

Give this a try
Dont worry just Carry on with SP flashtool way , it neither requires your battery to be in , neither your mobile to be on while flashing . take a latest version of canvas HD 4.2.1 official release , and brush it the way provided in flashing tutorial .

Switch off remove battery take out the sims insert your favourite one put battery back switch on. Let's see if that is an improvement.

you say it was working fine for two weeks before the phone went down.. can you add more details like what were you last doing before the phone went down and it's firmware details.. it could help

Try troubleshooting in factory boot mode if the problem persists then,
There is issue with sim tray.
Visit the service center they wont charge you more than 150 bucks and get the sim tray changed

Are you sure the IMEI on the phone by dialing *06# and the one on the box/back-panel is the same?

Kindly post what type of upgrading you've done.
and state all the process that you did.
basic troubleshooting requires documentation.
If you flashed the upgrade through CWM, try to do a full wipe and reflash it again.
After flashing is complete, reboot and don't you dare touching the screen (just don't touch the phone) during TP upgrade.
usually that is the cause of the problem.

If anybody has a back up of their canvas HD touch calibration taken through Maui Meta I guess it can be restored back in the phone which has failed TP upgrade. Or if some one has a perfectly working canvas HD a back up of touch calibration can be taken and the back up can be restored back in the phone which has failed TP upgrade. No guarantee if its gonna work as its not tested. Good luck.

Unfortunately I had been to the MMX service center yesterday and surprisingly the techs are not well trained, they are not sure what caused the problem. Their solution was for me to change the touch panel which would cost Rs.2500, But i repeatedly told them its due to TP upgrade failure but I dont think they understood. I am stuck and have no way as of now.

how to downgrading 4.2.1 to 4.1.2 in a116 plz help its urgent
tried it all.
sir, i have the same problem. and downgrading from 4.2 to 4.1 DOESNT FIX the problem. i've tried it.
i've also tried upgrading to 4.2.1 but still , that doesnt fix the prob. tried entering factory mode and manually do TP Upgrade but it says,
"Firmware bin failed." it means that the firmware of our touch panel have been corrupted.
i have flashed stock 4.1 and 4.2 Rom via spflash and still that didnt FIX.
only option left for me now is to bring it to service center.
how i wish someone can fix this.
The lag is because of the consumption of resources through the apks..
There is a simple solution to it:
1- If you are on stock ROM and rooted try uninstalling the Stock bloatware>Beware this may brick your device if uninstalled system apks.
2- Try using a different launcher not saying that the stock launcher is bad but give it a shot to NOVA or Apex launcher.
3- Go in Settings-Developer Options and change the Window, Transition,& Animator duration scale to 0.5 or OFF!!
4- Go on play store and search Seeder And Greenify - It works and saves battery too.

Hey,so i wanted to root my lava a72 temporarily without pc.Tried kingoroot,framaroot n stuff.Dint really work ,so is there anything tht i m misising here that could get it done WITHOUT PC

i tried looking out for twrp for y model but couldnt find one so i wish if you could please guide me to some post where i could root it with pc by a more general sort of a method,Thanks

Yeah use kingoroot for pc latest version..
Make sure ur pc is connected to web
Try 2 3 times if din work in first n rply to me:good:

Just tried this before u said, dint work :/
I think i should mention here that my oem unlock in dev options gets auto disabled as soon i try to enable it.
