[Q] Customize Battery Low Notification - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am talking about replacing the "Battery Low" message into youre desired message. It also includes replacing the notification photo..
Here are some of my questions..
Does it have same procedure on every smart phone?
If not, does it have same procedure on same brands of smart phone?
If not again, does it mean that the procedure of customizing it is unique for every phone?
Thank you so much for answering! I'd love to receive replies from anyone since im a newbie.

Managing notifications?

I have a stock Vibrant running 2.1. I like to have audible notifications for text messages, etc., but not for new emails. I get a lot of email at all hours and I prefer not to hear my notification tone multiple times a night in the wee hours whenever a new junk message comes in. So, is there a fix for this on a stock phone? I've looked through the Settings: if there's something there to manage the various types of notifications separately, I've missed it. Any suggestions other than turning notification sound off completely?
I thought this was a pretty basic question when I posted it. Out of all the smart folks who hang out here, nobody knows the answer?
go through the settings on your email app and turn off notifications or select your ringtone as "silent" for the app
or u can use "no led " app and use its features to silent wht u want..

Thanks a lot (and my light sleeper of a wife thanks you). The fix seems obvious when you mention it, but I'm not sure it would ever have dawned on me. That took care of my issue.

Thanks to you, as well. NoLED looks like a clever app, and I'll give it a try for certain notifications.

Seriously ? How many times do you shutdown your phone per hour ?
I do not know of such mod and I don't believe that someone else thought to remove it ...

there was no need to be nasty, if you didn't know, just say you don't know.
@blueseeker I do it once per day when I go to bed and it's a pointless vibrate so just wondered if I'd missed a setting or if anyone had a script that would/could disable it..
But thanks for your response
@theguydan thanks for the criticism of the pointlessness of blueseekers comment
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
I don't think there is because it isn't normally seen as a big issue and can be useful (i.e. if you think your phone is bricked or there is a boot loop but it vibrates). Sorry I couldn't help more, it may depend on the rom you use (stock rom has a sound but Cyanogenmod doesn't).
Actually my i9000 doesn't vibrate after shutting it down !! Is it normal ??
It just stopped doing it after flashing a JVT !!
thanks
Prevent Samsun Galaxy S2 or S11 vibrating on shutdown
I've found a way of prevent the annoying shutdown vibration, but it involves stopping all vibrating alerts (I think).
Go to settings, sound, Haptic feedback and turn on the Haptic feedback (if it is not already), then go to vibration intensity (just below) and reduce the sensitivity to zero. Hey presto no more annoying vibration on shut down or indeed annoying vibration at any time .
as Zakarath said... I posted a similar solution just yesterday. Don't forget to use the search before you post. This has already been answered a couple of times.

Try GOsms on the play store, you can set vibrate patterns for certain contacts, intensity and length of time

that's what many people said, thank you. however i want to make default pattern 2 short or medium vibrations. indeed it should affect all apps such as whatsapp, sms etc...
One more important question!
All samsung based roms have this kind of vibration patterns(i mean 1 long vibration for every app)? or is it just specific for this rom like a bug?

I don't know if there are mods specifically for this in S2.. all i know is that it has that feature in GOsms
but if you are an advanced user (or have experience in codes and etc)
you may edit some codes if you like
Cheers!

[HELP] [ROM][ICS] Touchwi3 ROM Build 8 [UPDATE/ODEXED]

Hi everyone I'm new on this forum. I'd had posted the question on the ROM's own topic but I can't because it says I have to send something like 10 or more posts in general discussions. I have a few litte problems with this amazing rom that makes my Galaxy W work at the speed of light
1. The vibration with sound doesn't work, I don't know why..also checked vibration always.
2. I noticed that the wifi and data buttons on the notification bar doesn't work, I tried to click on them but nothing happens. The only way to active and deactive the mobile data is on the options. Wifi seems not working instead, also if I go on the options it seems to be locked, the switch ON/OFF is of a dark grey and I cant use it.
3. Is there a way to lock the notification bar while the phone is on the lock screen ? That's because I noticed that you can use the notification bar also with locked phone and I don't like it much.
Thanks for help in advance
P.S: sorry if my english isn't that good
UP please anyone help
I know it's a bit annoying to keep posting but I need help please

HD Audio Recorder pink bar, safe to get rid of?

Guys, you probably recognized, the included HD Audio recorder app diplays a bright pink notification bar when its recording in the background. Along with its notification.
this is probably a replacement for the blinking led that phones use when backgoung recording, for so called "privacy reasons"
now I need to record important meetings which may involve having to show stuff ON THE PHONE to ppl I talk to, while also recording said conversation.
i dont need this intrusive notification during that!
I managed to get rid by turning off the notification in place for the app itself.
Then only an android notification will appear that the app is working in the background, kinda okay with that.
My question: would this make the app prone to be stopped by android system and by that loosing the recording or cutting it short?
Thx for any info on that, sorry im new to Oreo, i know that in the past hiding notifications by certain apps could make them prone to be stopped.
thx :highfive:
ps: plz dont derail the thread by lamenting is this okay to do or not. this involves talks with authorities which in my country must take complete responsibility by law for what they say. But in practice they usually dont want to. thank you.
