How to calibrate the battery????
search for battery calibration in the play store and you'll find apps that does exactly that for you.. if you can't find one, there are other options too. put the battery inside your mouth and wait till it glows.. have fun :highfive:

check it out guys
the app really does help you recalibrate your battery everytime you switch your roms.
try it out!
Doesnt look like its any different than going and deleting the batterystats.bin yourself, though I guess its a little more convenient.
Thanks for sharing.
Hi Guys,
I just bought my SGS2 yesterday and had been charging it overnight. I looked at some of the battery indicators you guys have, which features a circular mode with numbers in it, indicating the percentage of battery life left. How do I get that? Mine is still the default battery icon with green juice in it.
You read the guides in the themes and apps section. Requires root as you are changing system files

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Is that the only way? to flash and play with the codings of the phone? Or can I just download sometihng off the market instead?
Main reason being I dont know how to play with codes and am just afraid that I might be doing something which I shouldn't.
Thanks.

Would suggest you to just get something like Battery Indicator off the market if you don't want to root.
It won't replace your battery icon but it'll show your battery level in 1% increments in your notification area.
Thanks!~ Will get the curve-fish one then...
main reason for not flashing or rooting is because i don't wanna void my warranty...
Hi Guys,
I was looking at SiMi clock widget... downloaded it and started using it. What strikes me is that the size stays 2x1. Is there anyway to enlarge the size to 3x1 or even 4x1?
Sorry guys. Already figured that out. Thanks anyway~!
Hello !
Im in the way to be crazy...
Im flaahing roms 3 or 4 times a day...
The only objective is to have 16 hours of battery in a day with push email , and web ....

I Cant see diference or improvements in battery managment
Please tell me you best results vs roms and kernel. Please...or i will have to sell the sg2 and buy an iphone again.
Btw; i was adicted to foursquare in iphone...in sg2 the locations are not acurate...and it takes a lot of time to find....
Ok... My bat was in 84 when o start writing now is in 82%...

Hey there!
Hi, maybe stupid to ask since you are flashing 3 to 4 ROM'S a day but have you tried lite'ning rom? I find the battery duration on it very surprising and with normal usage (the things you mentioned) I last for about 20-25 hours.
Good luck finding something that fits your needs!
try underclocking/volting
Just relax man. Everything will be OK if you relax for a while

I have set cpu...got a lot of freezes.
SetCPU and all those undervolting/underclocking stuffs are useless.
@OP- You just need to find what processes or apps are causing the drain, to see that download Better Battery Stats and check under 'Wakelocks'. Juice Defender, Flashing different Custom ROM's, changing kernels will do nothing but waste some energy and time of your and give you false mental peace. But it is recommended to Calibrate the battery once after you install a new ROM.
Regards.
I also have Lighting 5.0 and nipho 2.0.5 and my battery life is great!almost 2 full days with medium to high usage which is just GREAT for me ;]
-Advanced Task Killer autokill set to ON.
-Green Power Premium and Powersaver Enabled at 10%
-Autokill Memory at Startup
-Also Instaledl Root Uninstall and froze all stock applications which where not needed which HELPED ALOT,because applications running in the backround does drain battery and trust me 60% of applications running are not needed
-Also have Battery Calibration which is nice.Use it after flashing every rom ;]
-If you dont really Use 3G that much Change Network Mode to GSM only and disable Use packet data.If you do use 3G just install an app like Cambia Red make a shortcut on your screen and enable disable both Packet Data and GSM to GSM/WCDMA(Auto mode) to use 3G and then switch it back off.
This is what i do with my phone, with all this settings i am extremely happy with my battery performance ;]
Also i Agree with ithehappy install BetterBatteryStats and see which programs have high Wakelocks!! ;]
Hope it helps
I use LeoMar rom with nimpho kernel.
With medium use i can use my phone 2 days without charging. Wlan, GPS, 3G is on. My brigthness is always on 25%.
you crazy ???

Thnks...but what i dont want is to put all of this software tom manage the battery....
the SG2 must at least give one day of bat.
Apps first rom second despite claims its not the rom that will improve battery life but the users apps .
the SG2 must at least give one day of bat. >>>Then you need to take the matter up with Samsung .

turn your brightness down!!!
I installed mwakious Rom...n it has google now....its nice but I hear it drains a lot of battery on sense...
So how can I remove google now ?!
Or
How to improve battery life !!!!??
IT LASTS JUST 3 HOURS !!CAN'T GET IT PAST LUNCH TIME !!!!
I GET THIS TYPE OF BATTERY LIFE FOR EVERY ROM..WHAT TO DO !!! :banghead: :banghead:
go in google now settings and turn it off. There should be a toggle on the top right corner
There's a thread discussing Google Now in ICS and there is a specific issue with power use for Google Now and HTC phones. There is a fix but it isn't simple, it involves editing the services.jar. Here's the post that explains what you need to do:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30368133&postcount=4384
I must say, mwakious may have already tried this - he does mention editing the services.jar in his OP.
I was wondering what the "modded services.jar google now" was in Venom sense mod. guess this answers my question
I wanted to start a thread that shows some good apps for the HTC One. If you have any that are good, feel free to post them.
A couple I have that are pretty good are:
1) Wave Launcher: can add more apps to save space on pages. Can't really explain it, but look it up.
2) BetterBatteryStats: I like this app because I can see how much screen time I get from a full charge.
I'm looking for new apps for the One. If you have any I'd love to know them. Thanks
Faceniff
Google it because it's against the rules to link it. But here's my demo video of it in action:sly: It's AWESOME

On a side note, you should request a mod to move this to the themes&apps section
1 advanced task killer,
2 clean master
3 doctor battery
4 alphalt 7:laugh:
atk really>>>> that was used in the 1&2 series of android phones STOP running it... It causes your phone to use more battery to restart the processes than it does save battery...
1- Power Toggles. Free Notification Toggles make it much easier to change settings vs Sense Settings Menu. I really like adding in Recent Apps shortcut as well.
2- Galaxy Pack. Battery last long enough for me to use a Live Wallpaper, and Galaxy Pack is simply one of the best with lots of options.
3- gReader.
Lux Lite dash: auto-brightness - replaces the built in brightness and actually works.
Can be tweaked to hell and back, and I really think this, more than anything will help with battery life

Definitely this, getting 4+ hours of on screen time makes me happy.
Thanks to Laporte for getting me on this app.
