hey guys, i have galaxy s3 aokp nightly and my phone's root folder have alot of viruses because when i browse the root folder through my pc it shows local disk folders and due to this i guess my phone is being stuck and i always have restart it by pressing all the hardware keys or by removing the battery, if i format the whole root folder is it going to crash my phone or recovery?? or is it ok? because i cant customly scan the viruses through kaspersky, please help me, thanks in advance

If you are rooted, boot into recovery and do a wipe.
If needed do a nandroid backup.

Why are you saying they are virus ???
But as above total wipe of phone
i scanned my mobile with dr. web light and it caught more then 10 viruses and also deleted those apps which contained viruses (according to antivirus app) and before this i have wiped my phone but not the delvic cache but after a few hours it got stuck again , do u guyz think that i should change the rom?? and wipe cache, delvic cache and factory data all three of them????

I formatted the whole root folder and flashed paranoid android 3.65 and still the phone is getting Stuck, please if anyoneone can help me please do it thanks in advance, is this a hardware problem but whenever the phone stucks i restart by pressing power, home and volume up and down buttons together, so i dont think its a hardware problem

I bought a clone samsung s4 19500 from bangkok last month.I downloaded an uninstaller (uninstall manager) from play store.Maybe by mistake i uninstalled some system file((Android OS,some mediatek file etc) to decrease internet data usage and my phone showed error messages.I quickly reinstalled somee uninstalled system apps using the backup files made by the backup data stored by the uninstaller program.but the error messages stated to increase.i removed my battery and when i opened the s 4 again it only kept on showing the opening message of "SAMSUNG" with some sound).what to do.plz help:

There are multiple problems you made above. First off is purchasing a clone device..there isn't any support for those phones on here so its hard to get an answer to anything. Besides that you didn't backup or do anything to ensure that you can have a way to restore if you screw something up. You deleted system files which has nothing to do with Factory Resetting. In order to revive your phone you must reinstall the system partition of the phone with either a stock ROM or custom ROM.. but since your phone is a clone you probably wont find any on here. Look around online and you will be lucky to find one. Other than that you have a cheap paperweight
Ask the seller
Talk to whoever you bought it from online, or if you didn't buy it online, search for one the same being sold from china.
I think the fake samsungs all started with MTK the 4 numbers depending on what crappy model you got.
Talk to someone that sells the fake ones and ask for a factory rom, you should be able to install it from standard recovery
mode as long as its signed.
Good luck, you'll need it by the sounds of things
Now u have only one way left that go to that place from which u got this phone.... Maybe they will reinstall the stock rom your device.... Or Ask in other shop nearby Can they reinstall the stock of this device

Take a backup of one device, copy it to the other device via USB, and then flash that.

My appologies for this post. Probably this problem is being dealt before on this forum but cant seem to find a solution to mine.
hi, i have a samsung s3 32gb (original stock unrooted).
Problem my space was running low on my s3. And while shooting a video, the space ran out and the phone froze. then i tried to end the video but obviously the screen was frozen.
After that i tried to reboot the phone but it came to the home screen, and couldnt press anything. (i only can drag the top bar down and that's it, it doesnt come back up).
i tried soft reset, didnt work. i tried to boot in safe mode, it doesnt work (it get stuck at the samsung logo). download and recovery mode works fine.
when i connect it to the pc, in device manager i get under Portable Devices (MTP USB device with a yellow triangle and ! mark). obviously KIES doesnt recognise anything connected.
After reading lot of posts, i installed 'android-sdk' and ran 'adb.exe' in cmd.
adb devices shows my device ; i can see all the directories on my phone.
when i try to copy, move or delete any files from the phone to my pc to empty the phone storage, i get this message "device not found".
i dont wanna lose my pics and videos +data (no backup). ANY HELP GUYS???

Try clearing cache and dalvik. If it doesn't work, u might have to factory reset which deletes ur data. Since android-sdk doesn't work anymore and kies too. There is no way to back up ur data. Ur only hope is tat clearing cache and dalvik works.

pictures and videos are stored on the internal sdcard, so they are save even if you decide to wipe your data.
you will only lose your app data and settings
but try first the suggestion from the post above

if you are referring to clearing the cache that is in the recovery mode. i already cleared the cache and still same thing happening.
can you explain 'dalvik' ? what to do step by step if possible
Also you mentioned that android-sdk is not working, (it is true ) but how come i can still see all my phone contents ?

if you are referring to the factory reset inside the "settings" menu in the phone, i think it would be true (the pics & videos wont be affected)
but if you are referring to the reset in the recovery mode. i think that will format everything including my personal data (pics & videos) and return the phone to a factory state (which is how it was new). isnt the OS and data are on the internal sdcard as well ?
Their comments refer to a custom recovery, e.g Philz, where you can clear dalvik and also mount your storage for usb access.
I think you have bigger problems, the phone should not have frozen as you describe and you many have partition corruption.
There are step by step guides on how to install custom recovery in general forum, stickies. It will invalidate your warranty, which might not be a good idea if you need a new motherboard.

Hey Guys,
Im a Noob in Android, but i wanted to root my ThL W200 ( i think im not alowed ot post links so look amazon)
That was no Problem i installed some root-apps and i wanted to delete for me useless application from the system ( like calendar)
Dont ask me why, but accidently i delted the SystemUI.apk and so my task bar at the top wasnt there.
I dowloaded another SystemUI.apk and placed it in 2 directories, cause i wasnt sure which was the right one.
After that i wanted to reboot my phone, but it stucks in boot-screen ( i let it there until the battery got empty - nothing happened)
I now think iIl have to install a custom ROM, or what does the expertsin this forum think ?
I tried to connect my device with pc, but i see it for a short period and than its gone.
i know that i have to install the correct USB drivers for that and i died, but somethink goes wrong every time and i dont understand it.
Sorry for my bad English, im not native speaker.
I really hope somebody here will help me, after asking so many people and trieing it many times.
Would be great if a god comes now and heals my wounds

Hi!
The reason why you got no replies was because you didn't post in the Topic for Thl W200, we spend most of our time there.
Anyway from the looks of it you're gonna need to flash a new Rom. So the easiest thing to do would be to use CWM recovery( in case you flashed it after you rooted your phone). If so, take out your sd card ( or any other way you can) and place this on it : https://disk.yandex.com/public/?hash=WmVa6RHtoBgXgJFZmW/ZMszyAXXmnhGY2rnyD8e6nE0= ( this is the latest stock Rom). The way you enter in recovery mode is to hold the power button and volume up ( or down, I can't remember lol). These are the full steps
"Put the firmware archive to SD-card
Turn off your phone
Hold the volume up key + power to fall into recovery (of course, you need CWM)
We perform:
- Wipe Data / Factory Reset -> delete All User Data
- Wipe Cache Partition -> Wipe cache
- Advanced -> Wipe Dalvik Cache -> Wipe Dalvik Cache
Next Install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard -> choose the firmware and install it "
If you don't have CWM recovery installed, which is what I think, you're gonna need Sp Flashtools. You can find it and other usable zips which include drivers and extra in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47481266&postcount=1191

i installed it by using sp flashtool then i could is´nstall a rom over the external sd card and all works fine now
My android zte N9810 is no longer usable after rooting. Can't access my files, my settings, play store, and can't connect to pc. Keep getting the error message "Unfortunately, the processandroid.process.media has stopped. Tried to hard root but it did not fix the problem. I cant access any of my root files because I can't access file explorer. The problem started when I tried to move internal files to external sd. Thanks

Dont worry, copy all data to ext sd card and try flashing it with stock ROM, unrooting your device may leads to hard brick. Flashing will wipe all data so make sure you have backup.

You either didn't root it properly or you have trojan apk (virus applications) anyway copy your data by connecting it to PC make sure USB debugging is ON, if you are still unable to copy data to PC, I recommend you to give a try for copy data from internal SD to ext-sd. If anyone of this method work for you please do a flashing or having trouble in flashing please go to service centre for repairing this. Still having problem please let me know

Here's what screwed it up. I downloaded the app internal 2 external sd and followed their instructions. After I rebooted my phone nothing worked properly. As I said before. my android won't connect to my pc, cant access play store, or any of the system apps I need without getting that android process. process media error, it keeps popping up.

Sad to hear that, all you can do is send photos and other data via share it to other device and after finishing that, do a factory reset, if you still having the same problem try flashing it with stock ROM or else go to service centre and ask them to do a flash.
