Samsung galaxy music app - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

Is there a way to download the music so for the galaxy on my LG-P769? The galaxy app is fluid and nicer imo. Also I'm not rooted or moded or anything like that

I'm sure there's an apk, although I think it may have to be modified to work with ours. Before you waste time with a Samsung (eww) app, try out Nexmusic on the Play Store. That's my favorite music app, it has all the features I need in it. I think it has an equalizer but I'm not sure, I don't really use those since my metal sounds good enough without them

Ok I'll look into it thanks

XDA Premium HD for ICS Builds

Got the HD version for tablets today from my Galaxy Tab 10.1 working on the Note. It looks and functions much better on the Note than the regular XDA app. It doesn't show up in Play Store. You can put it on your Note by using titanium backup to backup a copy on your tablet than transfer to your Note. Enjoy!,
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.quoord.xdapad.activity
From multiple users' reports the HD version only works on ICS builds.

It's a pay app. Load fine on ics on the Note. I'm thankful for the black on white mode, always wanted that.
Can someone post a .apk for this?
It's paid app don't ask for it. It's 50% off now so try to buy it with your tax returns.

Paying is not the issue. HD version does not show up on Google play on the note. Not everyone has a seperate tablet
Id love to pay for it if only I had a tablet oh well lol guess Im screwed is there a secondary way to pay and still get the .apk file

/data/app/tapatalk_hd(or something similar)
hmm i found it in /data/app, but unlike all the other .apk files, this one is a .zip, and CWM wont flash it.
Decided to try OP's method and it worked like a charm! Good lookin out, this is very nice.

Compatible with my Captivate running CM9, also. Strange, but I'll be giving it a shot
For those without tablets, try to change your build.prop's device to a tablet using rom toolbox and see if the app will show up in Play Store.
Update: I tried to play with few values in rom toolbox to GT-P7510 which is my Galaxy Tab 10.1 but no luck. But there got to be a way to trick play Store into thinking that you are on a tablet.

I got this on the Note a little differently than the OP. I installed it on my Captivate with CM9, then copied the file from data/app (.zip file) AND data/app-private (the actual .apk file) to my Note and installed the apk from the sd card.
I'm writing this post from xda premium HD. I gotta say, I already like it better. It's very clean looking.

Seems backwards, doesn't it??
It does crash here and there on DaGr8's ics alpha 2. Not sure what others are experiencing.

Google Sound Search from Jelly Bean

Hey everybody, I was browsing through Engadget and I saw that the Sound Search (Google Ears) apk/widget from Jelly Bean has been ripped (props to asdfzz) and can be used on ICS.
Here's the apk: http://db.tt/2Khe2r8M
I haven't been able to get Shazam working on AOSP-based ROM's and I'm not a huge fan of Soundhound so this has been fun to mess around with.
I don't take any credit for this, just figured I'd share my findings
Sent from my SAMSUNG Galaxy Note using XDA Premium HD app
There's no app to it, just a widget. I'd prefer an app to open rather than a widget. Thanks for sharing
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
I think a widget is great, that way it's always there and ready. Thanks for the heads up.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2
Yeah I didn't think I would like the widget vs an app but so far its really nice to have. I like the quick access to it.

Allshare vs alternatives

So I know theres bubbleupnp and several other options but I really like the way allshare works. Its so nice the way you can send the video to a device.
Is there a rom I can use that supports allshare? I assume it has to be AOSP but I dont know which ones.
Also id like to have tv out. Lol.

allshare is a Samsung feature, hence only Samsung based ROMs support it.
maybe this tread is also interesting for you
Tv out for playing games is nice. But im not really looking for that. I want to use allshare so I can send the video to my devices. I have a computer in my living room a xbox in my bedroom and a xbox outside in my smoking room. Plus a computer and a xbox at the girlfriends. We installed the allshsre app on the computers and now either of us can just send video to any of the sources. She has the tab 2 and I have the s3. Bubbleupnp does it all without the sexy interface.
At any rate it seems if I want allshare im limited to stock

yes, as I said, only stock ROMs, and you have to check if the custom ROMs based on stock have the apks still included, if not you can extract them from an original Samsung ROM.
So any aosp ROM should be able to run the apks for all share? Ill just take them off while I'm still stock. What apks do I need? I assume all share.apk

Google Music Player Alternatives

So I like having my music on Google Music but I hate the Google Music app. Is there any other app that can stream my Google library?

Seriously, thank you for this recommendation!! :good:
Takes a little getting used to, but I have to say it is really slick. And I can confirm it does work with google music.

Beats EQ?

Anyone know where the EQ is located in stock sense? Beats EQ sounds horrible on or off. I know I could download Poweramp or the like but I have a Google All Access pass and Gplay music is my only resolve.
^This
I've looked all over the place and can't find it. Strange because on my galaxy S2 it was right in the Google play music settings

From what I've read, HTC has removed anything having to do with an EQ from sense and have gone the "our way or the highway" route. Still, there has to be some way to access it or atleast tap into the hardware with another app THAT ISN'T A MUSIC PLAYER. I know poweramp can modify the EQ but personally, and some may hate me for this, I think poweramp sucks.

I suppose a system wide equalizer app would do the trick but all the ones I've tried have been terrible. Poweramp's equalizer is amazing.

I used viper4android on my Galaxy Note and the sound was incredible compared to Beats on the One. It requires root though, and I haven't rooted my One yet since I literally just got it. I would be interested to see if anyone with a One has tried it yet.

Yeah that's the one. It has a ton of options for tweaking the equalizer. So many options that it's almost overwhelming, but it's well worth the effort. You can find it on the playstore or here on XDA. If I have time this weekend I'll see if I can get it installed.
