I think my phone's bricked, help! - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I think I'm bricked... I haven't had much experience with Android devices so be noob-friendly please!
So I bought a chinese MTK6589 phone called the Tronsmart TS7 Glacier. I tried to flash CWM recovery with an app called Flashify. I was using the right CWM recovery for my phone, but when it rebooted it opened the normal recovery mode, and then when I tried to reboot, it didn't get past the first logo that comes up... Normally it shows an android logo, then it goes to a little animation with the tronsmart logo, then it's started up. Now it's stuck on the android logo... I've tried reflashing the stock rom from my SD card but I can't do it because it only works in CWM, the installation aborts normally. I've done it before but I got into CWM through a different app called mobileuncle or something. So yeah what I think I need to do is reflash the stock rom, but I can't do it without CWM, and I can't get CWM... Help me :crying:

AOKP. I am stuck in a boot loop.. tried installing other ROMs but keep getting back in the boot loop into recovery.
I need some help ASAP!
Try pulling the battery for 10 minutes then make sure it's fully charged then go into recovery. and flash rom again
you might have to use odin and flash your phone back to stock.
None of my attempts to recover worked.. so i decided to ODIN to stock and back to AOKP. So far so good.. AOKP stock loaded, now i'm going to try and do a backup restore.
One thing i missed though --- i didn't install the atlas file with the stock ROM.. does it matter? what does it do anyway?
The reason you bootlooped was because you 3 fingered to recovery on an ics rom, which is a big no-no. Always boot to recovery via power menu. You should have re-partitioned using the pit file, but if everything works I wouldn't sweat it. If you start to get fc's then you know where you went wrong.

You're right.. that i did. My phone was blank and the power button just wouldn't boot the phone so i resulted to the force-recovery. Everything seems to be working, and i'm going to flash to milestone 6 while i'm at it. Anything i should watch out for other that FC's? i've actually read while doing research that Atlas may actually cause instabilities..

[Q] Bricked! Help!

Hey all
My phone was working great, everything smooth and awesome, but then i turned it off, and boot loop.
I tried reflashing my ROM, (ARHD) But that didn't work
Help!!
Have you tried looking at any of the solutions listed in any of the other hundreds of "Bricked" threads?
Obligatory "search" is your friend statement. If you can get into fastboot, if you can get into recovery, you're not bricked. Restore from your NAND backup, or flash your ROM again.
Like unremarked said, your best weapon is the search box
So you have:
1. Booted to recovery successfully?
2. Already tried flashing your ROM via TWRP/CWM?

Hello, welcome to XDA.
You need to flash some compatible firmware using Odin or flash the JellyBam ROM again using the CWM. Did you try any of this methods?
You can find firmwares here: sammobile.com.

Do you mean stock rom? Could I just flash CWM recovery through Odin like I did before when rooting my phone?
Hello,
Could anyone reply?
I really need my phone fixed.
I managed to get into recovery but I didn't have any spare ROMs.
CWM can't mount my external SD too.
What now?

Help. Trapped in cwm startup recovery.

Hello,
Yesterday, when trying to create a backup of my current ROM (original, factory ROM) it seems that after the backup process was finished, when I tried to reboot my phone it would go directly into cwm recovery instead of starting up normally. This happens every time I try to reboot the phone. I have a Samsung Exhibit sgh-t599n (metro pcs).
Other things that may be revelant to my problem: the backup was not successful (there was a message saying something about an image not being copied). Also, in the cwm recovery menu there is a warning that says "No file_contexts".
I would appreciate any help you could give me.
Thank you

Okay so you do know how to get into Odin. Try flashing a different custom recovery. Also make sure the one you are using is made for your device. There aren't any recoveries that are universal with 1 file. Just make sure the one you are using is for your phone!

But in order to reflash do I have to take the same steps that I took for flashing cwm or do I have to do something different (delete cache, reformat phone, etc.). Sorry for the insistence.

I don't do much with odin since i dont ever have any issues with my recovery but all you should have to do is install the recovery just like you did the first time. Also if you are following a guide to do this make sure you are checking the right options!
Also not all odins are compatible with all devices. Make sure the odin you are using is for your device!

-I was able to flash a custom ROM (compatible, PAC rom); however, the problem persists. Every time I boot the phone it takes me directly to cwm recovery.
I was able to find these instructions (thanks to thereal_big jake from androidarea51.com) for solving a problem very similar to mine:
1.Flash Stock Recovery in Odin Link
2. Factory Reset in Stock Recovery
3. Flash CWM in Odin
4. Now Flash your Rom or Backup
5. Reboot
Could somebody explain how to flash the stock recovery with odin in my phone (samsung exhibit sgh t599n).
Thanks

You're more than welcome! If you have any other questions about anything feel free to PM me or tag me in a thread post! Good luck with your phone!

Can't go into recovery mode and can't factory reset.

My problem is different from others because my phone does not get stuck on logo, it gets switched on normally.
My device is HTC d816g ...i rooted with kingroot, these are happening after that. I have removed root completely but the problem is still there. When i try doing factory reset by going to settings, the phone turns off but then turns on again like i only rebooted it. Also when i try going to recovery mode, after clicking on the recovery mode button, the phone turns on instead of going to recovery mode.
Please tell me what to do, i searched a lot but no one has the same problem so i cant get the solution:crying:
