Only purpose of this thread it to find out how many users have wifi interruptions on CM 10.1 or 10.2 by Legacy Xperia. Many users have complained, also many of them don't have any problem with wifi. If you HAVE interruptions, please try newest builds with improved wifi first, if problem persists, then vote in the poll! Also if you have problems, please post:
- Device Info
- Security level of router you mostly use (WEP, WPA2 etc.)
- You can post build number of your device, too (found under battery,) - maybe not needed
Me: No wifi interruption
device: coconut, CM 10.1

Router: Netgear WNR3500v1

Build Number: 11W34
Also I've always has the battery drain issue. I've built the rom from source on 0913 (CM10.1), at first I thought it's gone because it was okay, and then after a full charge and 2-3 hours later it's started to drain about 8%/hour. It's not a wakelock issue, but the wifi itself drains the battery, if I turn it off, everything is fine.
Had WiFi interuptions: No

Yes me too observing alot of Wifi distruption in all ROMs even with different kernels
Thank you all for your replies, though unfortunately still not relation between them.
Strange thing. Probably too early to tell, but I've rebuilt and reinstalled the rom from todays source at about 3 hours ago and I didn't get any wifi interruptions since that. The only thing I've changed is that I've installed the latest (20130812) gapps. At earlier I've always installed the older 4.2.2 gapps (20130301).
I don't know if something's changed in the source code since 0913 (i didn't saw any wifi related commits on github since then) or the newest gapps changed something. Maybe I'm just lucky now, I will report later.
Battery drain is fine now though, but it's too early to tell, I didn't charge the phone fully since the install and I didn't installed every app.
Edit: Interruptions are gone, battery drain isn't
Yes, I have WiFi interruptions with xperia mini on CM 10.2

I have install GPS Test and left it for hours with no satellites appearing. Although when I load GPS Status I get the error Unforntunilty GPS status has stopped working.
The GPS is setting pool.asia.org but I have no way of changing it because I don't/can'tr root the device.
The specs are:

Android version: 4.0.3
Kernel Version : 3.0.8

Hi, maybe this is not right place for such post, but for now until i have posted 8 messages I'm unable to post in other threads, i think so.
A few days ago i have moved from stock rooted rom to Renovate Final 3. The reason was simple - i need OTG cable working. I prefered this rom because the reviews and benchmarks was quite good (Quadrant 7000+ in comparison with 5000+ on old ROM). Also i like blue theme.
The roubles i noticed staight after installation. Wifi signal was very weak in comparison with previews ROM. I diggend inside advanced wifi settings and found opion "Best Wi-Fi performance" and switched it on. This helped but not so much.
Other troubles i faced with when I've set u PPTP vpn connection. It connecting without problems but doesn't work at all.
After this i've installed terminal emulator from the market ran ping yahoo.com . no problem. then i ran ping 127.0.0.1 - loss 100%
ping my wifi ip adress - the same issue - loss 100%. what it could be ? some kind of internal firewall that block my local icmp echo requests or what? I have twice full - formatted all partitions, full-wiped my One x, and reinstalled Renovate rom, but the issue still the same. I think something wrong with this kernel or rom? Does anyone faced the same problems? What suggestions will be?
Kind regards,
Greg

Still no news about how to fix problem with tcp ip?
Trying to connect to my corp network and having no luck. I've tried a couple of the advanced wifi editors, tried hacking my wpa_supplicant, but still no joy.
Tried bog standard Touchwiz, Android HD v24,25 and 30, Paranoid Android 3.15, Cyanogen 10.1 ............
Anybody got a suggestion of a ROM that supports 802.1X out of the box?
Note I do have to put in a Windows domain/user which may be another factor that's making it harder.
Oh and my Nexus 7 running PA 3.5 works.....
(or assistance to get my Android Revolution HD v25 working )
Thanks in advanced.
isn't the WiFi protocol more a kernel & hardware related issue then a ROM related one?
A big thanks to this spectacular forum: many posts have helped me in solving some issues on Android devices.
Today I can't find a solution with the tether interface in my new XTOUCH X1, a chinese brand that have branches in EA. When I use the tether interface (WI-Fi or USB) my computer can connect to my smartphone, but the message limited connetivity has displayed. I can't surf in the net.

- I've also used other app for tethering but still not working.
- The DHCP server is working, beacuse the PC can get the IP Address.
Please help me!!!

Hello guys,
I need you help...
I have got a samsung GS II where I had installed a CM 9.1 stable rooted firmware, that was the best in battery saving, but recently I got issues with app force close, suddenly phone reboot so i decided to reinstall a stock ROM 4.1.2. , much more stable.
This original ROM suffer of a battery drain issue and also issues in managing internet connection (very slow when has to switch from 3g to 4g, lost of connection, slow speed compared to the CM 9.1 previously installed) . I have rooted it with framaroot; installed Clock work mode for flashing, backup and recovery needs; installed Disable Service app for disabling all services not needed and Kernel toolkit in order to change CPU governor.
I get some positive results, but compared with the previous CM 9.1, it's still another world.
So, I am here asking your precious help to find an optimized stable kernel for batter saving and internet optimization. I already searched in kernel section of GSII but I found only kernel for CM ROM or similar, not for stock ones...
My phone data are:
model code: GT-I9100
Android version: 4.1.2
Baseband version: I9100XXLS8
Kernel version: 3.0.31-889555 ([email protected]) (gcc version 4.4.3 (GCC)) #3 SMP PREEMPT thu jan 31 14:48 KST 2013
Build version: JZO54K.I9100XWLSD
Many thanks in advance for any help.
Regards
Fabiello
Use apolo 4.15b kernel (highly recommended) or chhapil's 8.45 personal dorimanx builds. They are currently the most used kernels for 4.1.2 roms. For extra speed, use a trim-capable kernel (like chhapil's dorimanx kernel) which will keep your phone nice and snappy!
