UPDATE
I hard reset the Note and the problem still occur. I believe Google made some server-side change that breaks the calendar syncing SPECIFICALLY in the Note. I am not sure what it is, but at this point the Note becomes useless for me since I bought it specifically for work. I am going to try other things, but I may ended up selling the Note. Those who sync to Google Calendar, in which the calendar have subscriptions to other calendar, I would not recommend the Note 8.0 due to the above.
Starting yesterday, out of the blue, my Galaxy Note 8.0 stop syncing ALL calendar. Everything else (Gmail, People Data, etc.) still syncs just fine.
I tried the following to no avail:
- Remove and re-add the Google Account
- Clear Data on "Calendar Storage" app
Right now it shows the following under "Account".

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I checked my Galaxy S4 Active and the last sync was done this morning @ 9:00 AM and afterwards..... it stopped.
I attempted to create a new appointment from both the phone and tablet and Google web-calendar. None is synced.
So it led me to the believe that this is a system-wide issue, but want to check with all of you.
UPDATE: as of today, my Galaxy Note STILL CANNOT do calendar sync with Google.
It still works on my S4 Active and desktop application, so now I know it is not Google but the Note.
Anyone have any other advice before I do a hard reset on my Note? This is the last resort, since it will take me a long time to redo everything.
Below is the screenshot of my Settings and Titanium Backup, to show which apps I have frozen/disabled.
As mentioned before, I didn't make any system change and no new apps have been frozen. I DID however install Google Play Magazine before the issue happened.

I have checked the ther forums for any repeat problems in this issue. but since there are non, i have to post a new thread.
I done a hard reset on my phone, its spanking new.
but when i want to sync my calender with google calender, i have this error.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
maybe the new stock calender is empty, and by sync, it will delete all in my google calender, so it says too many item deleted. what ever option i choose, the problem keeps repeat itself.
SO....i went to google about this, it seems to be a common problem, and the solution is http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=114500&topic=21414
i did that, which is to
go settings>application>manage application>all>calender storage
and clear data.
Now this is the part i'm screwed. look at this.
My calender app is no longer linked to my google account and google calender at all. pressing calender sync will no longer have the error message, but it will not sync to my google account at all.
WHat am i suppose to do? please help. i've google about this and theres no solution.
my phone is rooted by the way, if thats any good news.
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
i can't believe it. I actually solved my own problem.
I've been really depress, and never stop google about this. i tried reading about reinstalling the stock calender, but doubt that it would work.
Then i suddenly had an idea, i added my friends gmail acount into "acounts and sync",
once successfully added, i clicked calender sync,
TADA!!! in calender app, the option of my gmail acount and the new gmail acount both appeared!
so i went back to delete the new gmail acount from my phone, and all is back to where it was.
SO proud and happy of myself ^^V
I had no issue with this with my original Evo 4G. Once I had contact's linked to their Facebook accounts, their FB image would appear as their contact image. The only exception to this would be if they had a Google image.
I'm having trouble getting the same thing to work on the new 4G LTE. The contacts are definitely linked. However their FB image doesn't appear. Just the default "anonymous grey dude" image.
If you are having the same issue as above(which I had) try these:
1. HaxSync
or
2. FaceBook Contact Sync
This worked for me!!! Finally all my contacts have pictures!!!! Found this fix while googling...not my work. Just wanted to share!
EDIT: Nevermind...

Do a Google search for 'Photo Unlocker APK' and you might be able to find the app that will solve your problem.
I'm using it and it works great:

There was a thread here on this forum that had a working link, but unfortunately, that link is now dead for whatever reason.

I use this to. It unlocks the photos in other apps on your phone like messenger and others but it still wouldn't work for me in the people app. Thats why I posted what i found.
In your search did you ever find an app that syncs your Facebook calendar with your Google calendar? Sense does this just fine, but if I switch to a non-Sense ROM someday I'd still like that feature.
My limited searching kept pulling up instructions on "syncing" the two by exporting the FB calendar and importing it into Google's, which obviously isn't the same as syncing the two.
Hiya
I'm having issues with 4 Google Services (Calendar, Keep, Gmail and Music) not syncing for some reason.
Below is what I see:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I've tried the usual stuff like manual sync, removing and re adding the account etc. The only reason it shows as synced today is from when I removed and re added the account. Before that, the last sync date showed as the day I got the phone.
I've checked the log files and see logs such as:
Code:
syncs:
sync-errors:
CombinedSyncSnapshot: {Last Sync Start Time (system clock): 07/27 22:42:50.472, Sync Type: BTD_GMAIL, Connectivity Type: TYPE_WIFI, Throwables: Throwable: java.lang.SecurityException: Access denied! Only Google signed apps are allowed to access the SubscribedFeeds provider. Calling package: com.google.android.gm, stacktrace: java.lang.SecurityException: Access denied! Only Google signed apps are allowed to access the SubscribedFeeds provider. Calling package: com.google.android.gm, android.os.Parcel.createException(Parcel.java:1953)
The interesting bit above is the "Access Denied! Only Google signed apps are allowed" bit.
The apps that are acting up are all official apps. Some were pre installed, some from the play store. I've tried uninstalling update for the apps, clearing phone and app cache etc. Nothing works.
Anyone know what the issue is?
Edit: I'll give £15 ($20) to whoever gives me a fix. Money will be sent via PayPal
Thanks
Had to factory restore in the end which solved the problem.
Hello,
I'm facing a weird issue: since yesterday circa 5:30 p.m., some apps suddenly stopped working for no reason and just won't open or rapidly forceclose when I try to launch them: Gmail, Google, my bank app, Feedly, Amazon shopping, Steam, Xbox, Google Rewards, etc.
I first noticed that issue while I was running Android Auto and wanted to check my emails, the Gmail app force-closed without any message when I tried to open it.
On the Google app for instance, as soon as I try to type something in the upper-bar, BAM, force-close. And I get this weird message instead of my usual Discover feed at launch:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I also noticed that I can't open the Google settings: all I get is a white page, so I'm thinking it might be related to my account in some way... but some other Google apps, like Google Music or Maps, work just fine.
There's no common denominator between the apps that work and those that don't.
For those which don't work, I cleared the cache and even rest app data, uninstalled those I can and restored to stock the system apps, but no result, those specific apps just won't open.
I also tried wipe cache from the recovery.
For the record I'm running android 10 and even flashed a more recent OXM firmware (keeping HOME_CSC) to make sure it wasn't due to system file.
Do you have any guess??
Eventually decided to do a factory reset and everything works fine now

Google Play Store isn't showing all the apps that have updates available in the Manage Apps section. But if I open an app Page, then I see the app has an update, but it doesn't show up on the Updates section. Please note that some apps do show up there, but not all apps. I have no problems downloading the updates from either the Updates section or the app Page itself.
Some things to note:
1. I have multiple Google accounts in the system.
2. I have multiple users in the system. Some of the apps show updates available when I change user, and I don't see any reason why the update won't show up under all users.
I have tried clearing Google Play Store app data, uninstalled Google Play Store updates, reboot, etc. But that hasn't helped.
Any ideas?
Keep getting these blank pages:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
i know how to fix that un download it and then redownload it.

The problem is not for just that app. That was only an example. The temporary solution is to force stop Google Play Store and delete its cache. Then everything works for sometime (or may be few days) before the problem reappears again.
Is no one else having this problem?
I'm having this problem on both my OnePlus and Samsung phones. It is worse in my Samsung phone.
Every few days, or sometimes even multiple times a day, i see this problem crop up. I then force stop Google Play Store and delete it's cache. It works fine for some time before having the problem again.
Any ideas?
Another bug: Pressing on update does nothing:
