Just came across this awesome app. If you'd like to have current net speed in your status bar without messing about in recovery root etc. It will measure data usage as well. Have fun

Great!
I bought the pro version and I contacted the developer for small changes. Unfortunately he does not answer.
Too bad because the app is very well done, but I wanted to ask him to change the color of the font, and more. A little 'as the mod DrKetan
I'm sure they will work on this app as it has great rating and many downloads. For me this is must have app. Download/upload speed is quite accurate.

I think you are talking about the google server connection? This would change the color of the signal;data;wifi when connected to it. I think more people didn't like it to be honest. I ended up making it so it was just the data and wifi on the themes I did. I left it out for mattedBlues here.
I think it was different, my Bluetooth icon would change colors when connected to Bluetooth, the signal strength changed depending on strength (a bit like the digital battery that changes on the %
I will have to try and figure out what it was called.

Well Bluetooth already does that and any theme can be setup to do that. But some roms in cappy section used tsmparts which was added into the rom.
This allowed you to modify the status bar to your liking.

Nice app called Display Brightness. Posting this so people will stop starting threads asking how they can do this on ICS. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=rubberbigpepper.DisplayBrightness&hl=en
i'd thank ya but ya had to be a wise guy about it.
tx --- art.
thanks i like the app !
After trying this app today i can readily say it's terrible compared to the stock feature in GB.

I like it enough to put it on all my phones. I got bettter battery life because I could easily manage the screen brightness.
People if you use a free app think about making a donation. The link is on the settings.

If you actually take the time to configure it the app is very nice. For example, set location to top, make bar wide, make fully transparent...and it operates very much like the stock with more features.
work great

I find Invisibright Pro to be much less intrusive.

Could someone kindly direct me or tell me how to change the battery icon to no percentage on some of the themes, i lose the theme if i install stock battery. I just don't wanna see the numbers it's annoying but everyone put percentage on there themes. Even if you know a link explaining how would be nice thanks.

I like color in high def theme but the clock got numbers i tried putting stock battery with that there but it took away theme settings didn't hide or get rid of clock with percrntage just added more numbers on the side i recall on the evo 4g lte they had a hack to where you can hide the battery all together i rather do that and use miui bar for battery. I stalled the bar but battery still present.

AWESOME WIDGETS TO COMPLEMENT YOUR AOSP ICS/JB SETUP!
Here are a couple screenies of a few widgets I created. The last three pics are of the same widget.
homescreen -- basic homescreen widget. The last row is CPU usage|free RAM|battery temp|up-time in hours.
homescreen_messaging -- dynamic widget that will show last received message and then clear it out by going to the Messaging app. Also, the widget will send you to the Messaging app.
These three are all the same widget.
cell_service -- will show the tower currently being used, signal strength and service state.
cell_wifi_service -- if connected to wifi, will show ssid, ipaddress, speed of the connection and signal strength.
airplane_mode -- if you turn on airplane mode, it will display airplaneMODEon, in the same style as the rest of the widget. For some reason cannot upload more that 4 screenshots...
If anyone would like to use these let me know, I will post them. Also, if you have any cool widgets you've made, or anything you've done generally with Tasker or MT, please post here. I'm always open to new ways of using these tools. Thanks.
EDIT: Profiles for both Tasker and MinText added.
Link: http://db.tt/hpmVMktW
Directions:
1. Unzip archive and import Tasker profiles. Copy MinText profiles to /sdcard/MinimalisticTextPreferences.
2. Make sure Tasker profiles are enabled.
3. Create the Minimalistic Text widgets and click on restore at the bottom of all the options. (I will also go into global settings and disable visual feedback on press. Makes it look nicer IMO.)
4. Profit!
If you have any questions, ask here. I'll help, or at least try

Hi tambourineman86,
can you please re-upload your profiles? Thank you
I don't believe that his has been posted anywhere in this forum yet so I figured I would throw it out there as it's something that I've been looking for for quite some time. This allows you to have the Pie Controls on any ROM. It's just an app that is installed then set to run at startup.
Completely customizable for each section of pie.
I take no credit and am just sharing some info for anyone who wants it.
Download and install from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150
umm...you can actually get one from playstore for free.
It is sweet. It had been posted a couple times, but is long buried now.

Been running this for a while, but thanks for sharing, it's an excellent app! The UI is damn sexy too! It finally feels like the perfect combo of a nav bar and dock/launcher, and you can even set a control for "kill app". I finally don't have to rely on AOKP to customize my app launcher/killer/nav bar combo.
I didn't know there was a pie control app in the play store though, that's pretty cool, and it looks like it doesn't require root either. Good to know.

I was looking at pacman, saw they had pie, and what I think to be a MIUI Battery bar outside the battery info area? Any way to do that with this that I'm missing? If that's not what it was, what was it?
Edit: by the way this is great, always wanted to try circle launcher buy found it rather ugly. Great job to all.

You have to enable LMT under Accessibility.
