Scripts Review - Optimus One, P500, V General

Hi folks
As we can see there are lots scripts available for Android 4+ like V6 Supercharger, Crossbreeder, Killjoy, Injector, PurePerformance etc
What do you guys use and what performance enhancements u see
there is obviously no ultimate nor there can be comparison and there is due respect to every dev
Just share ur reviews for others to see

Currently using directinject on cm10.1.3 ..
It works ...but dont expect much difference in performance with the scripts ..
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium

I am not using any script but if want a performance boost in cm10.1 then do this.
1.must use greenfiy(also good for battery life).
2.freeze "search" and "search provider" (if you don't use search) because it always running in background and used lots of ram.
3.freez "Google backup" battery eating app.
Try this You will feel difference.

My very first very well running Stock Rom :D

Hey People,
as I am no Developer and have absolutely no knowledge in programming/hacking I am really adicted to the Stuff the Dev´s deliver here. I can not count how many great Roms have been on my Ace the last weeks, but if I had a Dollar for each...
Parallel I was always trying the stock Roms. Now, today, I finally found a config that really made me happy ! Speedy, stable, daily useable and with a lot of stuff in it. Maybe some of the humans here (not godlike Devs ) are interested as it is really easy and you need no knowledge about anything on the other side of the Touchscreen ;-)
First, Credits go to all the DEVELOPERS out there who made this hard, smart and beautiful work. Without them, the Ace would just be a "I would love to be an iPhone but I failed..." Project ;-)
I will not tell you where to get the files but here is a hint : you find them all HERE in the wonderful XDA Forum
Ok, here I go, remember, anything you do ... do it on your own risk, don´t blame me or any of the People around, it´s just YOU !!! And read the Tutorials !!
I started with a stock Rom, xxkph, this is Gingerbread 2.3.4 then I downloaded the "Deodex and Root" Stuff from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1118048
Now I flashed the CF-Root (File and tut can be found here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1158197)
And finally this new piece of amazing stuff from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1336240
That´s it, now you have a great Ace, really, it runs like hell !!!
Add the Miui Launcher (QQ I think) and some other nice tools like xperia reboot options, Fancy Widgets, Android Agenda Widget, GTasks, Google Translator, XDA APP OF COURSE ;-) Friendcaster ( you can also use the stock SNS Stuff for some things) ES File Explorer which is free and has Options for Root access ! and, Titanium Backup, a great tool !
Once again, thanks to all the Devs and Programmers out there who are providing so very fantastic stuff to us !!!
Greetings
even after all that,it still a stock rom ,a aosp base rom is defenetively better

It sure is but that wasn't the Point :-D with all this doing by yourself you're learning by doing a bit I think and some people may like the stock stuff included. Plus the duration of the Battery maybe.
And they will be able to delete what they don't like by themselves using Es

Ok can confirm works not placebo:
Naval clash at start, no apps running, 245/729 interactivex, no data on, lags at startup!
Naval clash with tweaks, imo in background, 245/600 interactivex, wifi on (it makes system lot slower) it is perfectly smooth and no delay

Saying your friend told you and this is somewere on Ace forums is not giving credit, neither is re-uploading the exact same file. Please give proper link to the Post and credit to the AUTHOR.
---------- Post added at 11:57 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:32 AM ----------
Looking though the tweaks ,its all preety good, the 98system tweaks is just a bunch of init.d tweaks that KNZO made a thread about, so some people and a lot of ROMs on our p500s have, so be carefull not to double them up
This tweak also forces google DNS servers, so this might break some peoples internet, eg people on proxy servers
---------- Post added at 12:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:57 AM ----------
This is also changes values of build.prop at boot, so be carefull when using with the other build.prop tweaks, i reccomend using all stock build.prop and init.d when applying this tweak, as well as carefull when using it with the Adreno libs tweak. Dont just blindly flash everything and modify build.prop

The tweak that "forces google DNS servers" have been in CM and Oxygen for ages ago and there were no problems..
i didnt say its a common accurance, just saying what this tweak has. its mainly a huge init.d tweak, some functions seem impressive.
Dont know how the new sqlite file performs tho, its considerably smaller then the stock cm7 one.
Any one have more information how this file is beneficial over the stock one, besides the default
"SQLite3 is the main database that Android uses to save almost all of its data files"
I flashed it with clockworkmod recovery ad i dont find any difference in the quadrant scores.
..it's a "standart" list of init.d scripts..
Don't see any changes..
I think, better check what your have, and possible, add something script in unit.d by hand..
Maybe, they add some smooth to

They make my phone run on 600 MHz like it did on 729 and even better... it helped me get rid of OC... and it is not placebo probably it would be a little placebo if I didn't remove the OC and it felt a bit smooth, but with 129 MHz less it is smoother... no sir, not placebo
On CM9
I was born in the '90's... 1290's >
The best path i soo, is the last AGPS path... as for performance script, better take a look on perfectpesso, nightlee and so on rom script on init.d..
Is this working with a2sd? I use ungaze, and after flashing this, apps are installed but unavailable. I can uninstall but it won`t let me install anything.
Edit>problem solved. It is all about the order of flashing. To work you must flash in this order:
1. turbo boost tweak from 1st post
2. kernel (if you want a differnet one from stock)
3. ungaze a2sd
I only tested with ungaze a2sd, but i think there is some improvement. At least phone doesn`t stutter anymore when sdrolling web pages or threads on xda premium app.
ty...it works

MULTI-SINGLE-ALL-CORE GOVERNORS AND FREQUENCIES
this is a patch which allows you to edit the governor of each core independently, as well as setting each its own min / max frequencies, IT'S NOT MY WORK AND ALL THANKS GOES TO Smokin1337
Firstly dl the zip, then flash via your chosen recovery, I flashed on fresh installs so I recommend you wipe your cache/dalvik cache to be on the safe-r side of life , if flashing over a *settled* rom
You will then need to run the command "su" in terminal emulator , followed by "cpu"
Then all settings are self explanatory inside the terminal emulator,
Here's the op
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1584508
Here's the link to terminal emulator in the play store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jackpal.androidterm&hl=enO
This mod , may be cancelled out by other mods and/or settings saved from them, I would recommend clearing data from system tuner, set CPU, CPU tuner etc, and reinstalling them without making changes to CPU , also disable forced dual core if you have a 3rd party app enabling it. Er........ I think that's it
.....nope, if you restore from apps such as titanium back up, any data containing CPU configs you restored may need to be removed too, if you want to make sure you are getting the settings set in terminal emulator and not those launched via init.d or on boot completion

its like having a turbo on your device, lots of work has been put into this dont forget to go thank Zeppelinrox on The OP below
it has worked for me on his previous releases and accross many roms,
you may need a busybox update, to prevent a possible cause of a boot loop, but it does auto detect version,
and it is easy enough to upgrade busybox version,
with this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.busybox.installer&hl=en free from the market/play store,
you will also need an app like script manager https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=os.tools.scriptmanager&feature=search_result free from the market, and dont forget to turn the little su android button green to run as root when running the script
heres the OP, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276 ,

Ok...
Tell me if I misunderstood, but what I see is basically a clever mod that sets different settings for multi core CPUs and also the Supercharger script by zeppelinrox.
Now, how are these relevant to X8? It has only a single core CPU, so the mod is kinda pointless for the X8 since an app such as SetCPU can handle this function. Also, the Supercharger script is not new or unknown to us X8 users, in fact I believe there are 3 threads on that topic.
So how is this Android Development? I don't see anything here being developed by the OP. I only see the publicising of some nice tweaks, one of which is useless to the X8 and the other is already quite well-known. This should belong in the General section, and even then it wouldn't serve much purpose. Though I understand the sharing of certain useful mods here, I don't see its relevance.

Ok. The multi governor mod is, afaik, only useful for phones with multiple cores as then it can be used to change how each core operates, potentially increasing performance and maybe reducing battery life. A single core phone like the X8 won't benefit from it since it doesn't have multiple cores to change individually. You claiming that it works might be due to a placebo effect as it does nothing for an X8. Seriously, think logically on how a multicore-targeted individual core governor will help the X8. Not every tweak works for every phone and not every tweak is one that improves performance.
As for supercharger, I agree that it is effective. However, many X8 users already know about it hence publicising it again in a new thread is pointless. Though we appreciate that you want to share your findings with the community, this is not the right way or place to disseminate the information. Doing so in a related existing thread would be better and also since this thread contains no development, it should not be posted in the development section.
Ok everyone stop posting. Its upto mods to decide.
However,no matter how much you deny (like, this community is full of haters), SpyderX is right. This thread is just for increasing thanks meter or whatever.
One thing have to clearly understood : Dev section belongs to people who know about android. Its not for sharing stuff someone else creates. The Original Developer has done developing AND certainly its not you.Just saying all credits to him/her isnt enough. Its clear that OP doesnt know what he himself posted. He has little knowledge of scripts.
I dont want to get into verbal argument here.

Both these were developed from scratch, no not by me, I did state that, and yes, it is effective for single core devices, and yes i know system tuner, setcpu and CPU tuner etc, all do the same job, but, why waste app space, when a script can do the same job, but can be controlled via terminal emulator, if you don't like it, don't use it, wanna hate, fine,
My son owns an x8 not me I was keeping him pimped, and thought I was doing you guys a favour, .....oh well, back to the EVO 3d and s3 forums for me, see ya's

It simply allows full control / choice of governor, min and max frequency instantly, without the need of a reboot or init.d script, as for the supercharger script, its pretty self explanatory, it makes small system changes, manually giving you a choice of options , try it, you won't be dissapointed
I think all of moderator must give him a chance to share it,may be it is usefull mod for all of shakira users....may be in the other section too !
Ok here's the thing. Arjen (one of our Mods) has clearly stated in his sticky that Android Development section and Original Development section are for SONY ERICSSON XPERIA X8 SPECIFIC ANDROID DEVELOPMENT. Anything other than such should be in the General or Themes and Apps section. What SpyderX and a few others tried to do is advice you politely (take note that they didnt curse you or anything) and all you've done is remained hard hearted and ignored them. All i can say is im not like them.
1. Opening a thread about someone else's work is not X8 Android Development material, especially when it was developed in another phone's forum.
2. Making threads in another phone's forum just because a family member or friend has the said phone is, how do i put it...unwise. Especially when he/she doesn't bother to read our stickies or double check on existing MODS.
3. Saying "Fine, I'll just go back to my old forums where im appreciated" doesnt help your case. It just shows you weren't sincere by trying to help people with this MOD and that you're a thanks whore.
Im sorry its so long but I've had enough idiocy flooding our forums.
P.S. : I typed this whole thing via X8. Show some respect by quoting it if you have a good comeback.

Nice mod but title was misleading though...
Too sad for anyone who only have X8 like me...

Let's speak about tweaks!

I don't know if I'm allowed to open this thread, in case moderators will f**k this without any problems
Everyone knows our stupid phone is soooo old and soooo ****ty but we love it. So, I thinks tweaks can be a little help for it and personally I use some of these. I have thought we could write which rom we use and which tweaks and if they work fine, so that everyone can choose among more and more options and mayve discover something new
I use
rom: GenetICS (now 9.1.7 but I use this rom since november and I have always been using these tweaks)
build.prop tweaks: I have taken something from knzo's old thread, something like 100% quality jpg images ecc
init.d tweak: loppy smoothness and v6 supercharger
Moreover, I started using seeder since some days but i don't know if it works really.
This tweak works: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2113150
Or you can use seeder.apk app
I use tweaks from an app called Pimp My Rom. It's available on the Play Store.

My experience with SOLA ROMs

Dear readers and members of XDA-Developers
After installing a new ROM I've decided to post my experience here and hope it will be useful for u.
I've a Sola device with Gingerbread 2.3 preinstalled.... all Stock ROMS (ICS , JB , GB) are piece of *$&%^ ... too laggy and not smooth at all...
I've a Galaxy Tab P1000 too and I was having the feeling that my Tab is 100 times better than my sola....
decided to root my device and installed an experience V2.1 from the XDA-Forum too ... a little bit laggy but still not satisfied, especially that the Graphics were worse than my HTC-Touch HD.... I was not able to play any 3D Mid-Heavy game on my Sola ,,,, Battery was perfect and all connections too... so... for the Experience V2.1 ROM:
Advantages:
1- Battery
2- All functions are working (NFC, BT, ......)
3- nice looked
Disadvantages:
1- sola restarts if it got a call while charging most of the time.
2- Graphics performance is the worst ever.
3- Touching while charging will be completely impossible (crazy) but I think there was a fix for it.
4- not smooth enough and sometimes laggy.
5- boot takes about 3 Minutes.
and now after installing the CM-10:
Advantages:
1- Battery
2- most of the functions are working (Wi-Fi, BT, ......)
3- nice looked
4- very very smooth.
5- Graphics performance is the best.
6- no crashes.
7- boots in 20 seconds or less.
Disadvantages:
1- NFC / Radio FM are not working.
This is the best ROM I've ever used... try it ... u'll like it... :good:
Thansk @Error_Rebel for making this thread. I think it's not bad to have thread like this
I also wanna share my experience with CM10 (by ShoaibAhmed)
Some words:
This ROM is just awesome! I never was such statisfied with a ROM like now. You can just trust on this ROM and everything works as it should (except NFC - which I can't even test/use because my NFC Chip is dead ^^ - and FM Radio).
Advantages:
-Best workflow I ever had
-No Call UI lags
-Great performance (benchmark, heavy games etc)
Disadvantages:
-Not the best battery life in my opinion
-There are no more for me
Recommandations:
-CPU governor: abyssplug
-I/O scheduler: row
-CPU Frequencies: 200MHz - 1000MHz
Last words:
Probably the best ROM I ever used on my sola. I can just recommend this ROM to everyone out there!
Hey guys,
Could you say just a few words about present versions of KitKat based ROMs? I'm looking for fast(*) and stable ROM, which can properly manage RAM on my device. But unfortunately I don't see yet enough polished one for my device. Even if I was trying to use tweaks such as Fly-On Mod it's still not looking too good. And maybe your proposition would suits me, but sincerely I really wanted to stay on KitKat...
Thanks!
(*) I mean faster than stock ICS which is really bad in my opinion.
----
@Error_Rebel - you're writting only about two ROMs, you have installed on your Sola (besides the stock ones). Don't you think it's strange to read that this is "best ROM you've ever used"? It would be better to not read about Experience V2.1, but just about CM10 greatness. Cheers!

@Error_Rebel,
Do you maybe know how to properly install Fly-On Mod on the CM10? I don't really understand the step with patching services.jar (patching wasn't necessary on KitKat based ROMs)...
How should I do this, because i feel like a real moron stucking od this step? Of course if you ever tried that modification.

The best non-CM11 rom I've tried is SlimFXP's CM9. Stable, reliable, everything works (FM excluded as in any CM). Jelly bean roms can only hope to be as good as it is.
On any non-CM11 you need either Greenify or Appquarantine to keep trash apps frozen manually (appquarantine has widgets for easy freze-unfreeze of apps) or it won't deep-sleep properly (like say google services, Facebook, whatever keeps running and can't simply stay dead).
I tried various CM11 from the same dev (all ports, all the same kernel from munjeni I think)
Carbonkk, Hellkat and SlimKat
Carbon is buggy for me (cpu still maxed after a full day of letting it settle... all times I tried reflashing! nopenopenope!)
Hellkat is good but I'm not a fan of its UI and still needs some tweaking to behave.
SlimKat is boss (and also the one with latest update afaik). 800 mhz/200 mhz, Wheatley and Noop. Deep sleeps like a pro. Interface is a bit small but I like it (coming from SlimFXP CM9).
Is a bit slow to start apps after boot (like say Performance Control), but afterwards it's very smooth and responsive whatever I'm doing.
I also REALLY recommend to use Performance Control app to set android minfree task killer properly. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2401988
Even on CM9 android's own minfree task killer standard settings (bundled with kernel) are utter crap and stuff is terminated at random.
On SlimKat CM11 I can leave anything unfrozen and when i press the power button the thing goes to deep sleep within seconds and stays there.
Also android's own task killer is very good in CM11 Slimkat. Google trash is always loaded but always ready to be dumped if my apps need the space. Performance Control app is still needed for its settings and stuff, but Greenify or Appquarantine are no more.

Interesting. Did you tried also the one mentioned before by Rodger Rulez? Now I use eXperience v2 by 6 month, but I want to switch to CM again (I used FXP's CM9 before) and I'd like to see CM11 working on my phone flawlessly. The problem (or the value, depending on pov) is that we've lots of ROMs like Rodjer's, Munjeni's, XperiaMT27'S, ecc. and it's not easy to find the best for me that i'm an abroad student and I've not much time to try as i did before.
