[Problem Solved] Google Play using the Wrong Account for IAPs - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

Hey XDAers I had and solved a problem that I couldn't find an answer for on the forums so I decided to share.
I recently downloaded DynamicNotifications to try it out. I tried to buy the in-app premium features to support the dev. To my dismay the account it was trying to purchase the IAP on was not the one tied to my credit card and I had no way of changing this. My primary purchasing account is selected in the google play store. So I tried removing the other account from my device entirely and purchasing again. Correct account, payment went through.
So the features were working and so I re-added my secondary account to settings. The premium features I bought disappeared after a few minutes. If I click the upgrade button again it tries again to purchase the IAP with my secondary account.
So basically here's the tl;dr:
Bought an App with primary account w/ credit card tied
Attempted to buy IAP - play store tries to use secondary account (no credit card tied) to buy
Removed secondary account and purchased with primary
Re-added secondary account
Premium features disappear
Delete secondary account, premium features come back.
Re-add the secondary... features disappear again!
I look around and here is what I have tried:
Rebooting. - no luck
Clearing cache - no luck
Clearing play store, services, and google framework data. - no luck
Remove account, TiBu app, Add account, restore backup - IAP features come back... for a few minutes.
Remove account, remove app, reinstall app, launch app, re-add secondary account - This Worked
Weird Problem. Annoying problem. Solved.

solution:
1) uninstall the app
2) go to play store and switch to the account you want to use to pay from
3) find the app in play store and install again
4) make your in-app purchase

Problem with Android Market after Factory Reset.

Hey all, I have stock,non-rooted,locked, OTA'd rezound.
I've tried everything in the general forums for this problem, so now I'll come here and ask to see if anyone has any other possible solutions.
I've done multiple factory resets today, and tried several different methods of re-adding my google account (which is a google apps for your domain account) so it's not @gmail.com but @mydomain.com
Everything works great, sync, gmail app, gtalk, youtube.. you name it. Great. Even the market place, for downloading 'free' apps.
As soon as I try and download an app I have to pay for I get a little window that pops up that says "Google sign-in You entered the wrong password or your account has changed. Please re-enter your password. Username [email protected]" and then just fails to accept my actual password. (i've tried changing my password a few times too!)
Here's everything I've tried:
1. Clearing the Market App Data and Cache.
2. FactoryReset: try and use the old market app before it gets updated.
3. Youtube account issue: disabled the youtube service on my google app domain, and factory reset- and tried again... no dice.
4. Tried putting on a real @gmail.com domain, and that works just fine. try and switch to @mydomain and it fails again.
I've done a factory-reset before every different style of attempt. I'm guessing something else is going on :-\
When I logon to the market through the web, I can purchase apps and they install without a problem! So it's something to do with the market app.
Anyway, just looking for any other ideas I may have overlooked. You're a pretty thorough community so I think I can trust you all would have something for me to try!
Before my factory-reset, everything worked fine with my google apps domain account.
TL;DR: My google apps domain account I normally use won't let me purchase apps on the marketplace anymore, it says the password has changed but all other google services work just fine!
I remember reading something way back when I first got the phone in late November about people having issues with the Market app. I never had an issue so I didn't pay much attention to it but you should be able to find a thread about it from back then.
Something about using a different apk? Or maybe deleting the app and redownloading it?
Sorry I don't have the actual answer but I thought I could at least point you in the right direction until someone else does.
EDIT: This may not be the same issue but one of the solutions that suggests to clear cache may help you. Can't hurt to try it out.

Are you using Google Two-Step login verification?
Did you accidentally leave yourself logged in to another computer, like at work, where somebody else might have gained access to your account?

Great questions:
No I've turned 2-step verification off.... what if I turn it on, and try and get a different password out of it? I'll give it a go.
Account is definitely not compromised. good to go here.
Break Through Achieved...
My Google Wallet account has been suspended, because when I changed my password I used the google domains administrator panel, and not my google account 'change password'. this made google think the administrator changed the password because the account was compromised.
google wallet has a lengthy but acceptable process for regaining access to your account.
I'll go update all the general forums with this if it works... thanks for all your patience.
Also, google.com/wallet shows a good explination of why all other apps work fine, and not purchases...
Google Wallet Account Reinstatement
Your Google Wallet account is currently suspended. The account was suspended as a precautionary measure to protect your payment information because Google detected that an administrator at your organization initiated a password reset for your email address. However, this suspension only affects your access to Google Wallet, and you should still have access to your other Google Apps services such as Gmail, Calendar, and Sites.
If you would like to reinstate Google Wallet on your Google Apps account, please contact us. You will be required to verify your identity to reinstate your Wallet account.
You may also wish to sign up for a new Google Wallet account using a personal e-mail address, rather than your Google Apps account. Creating a new Wallet account using a personal email address will reduce future suspensions of your Google Wallet account for password changes. If you don't have an alternative email address, you can create a new email address with Gmail for free.

I'm having the same problem (using google apps account, admin reset password, no purchasing market apps etc etc)
When I log in to google wallet, I see the message you posted above, with a link to click to contact google. However, this link just redirects endlessly to the same message.
Can you remember how you managed to get in contact with google to have the suspension lifted?
Thanks

I had the same issue a few weeks ago. I just emailed Google wallet help support telling them the problem and by the next day I got a reply saying something like "we can now confirm that your Google wallet is now working and able to make purchases" Sure enough they fixed it and haven't had a problem since.

Where did you even email them? It's like an endless loop on their help center where you can't get to an actual contact form, just has to match one of their issues. I swear while I like a lot of google services, their support leaves very little to be desired.

[Q] Multiple Google accounts and Market issue!

I've always used a regular Google account (with Gmail) to setup my Android phone. Recently I've switched my private domain over to Google Apps, and since you cannot import a personal Google Account into Google Apps I had to create a new one and transfer all the stuff I needed to (calendar, mail, photo's, etc).
The only thing you cannot transfer are the apps you purchased (way to go Google!). So now I'm stuck with my new personal account with everything on it, and my old Google Account just for the apps I've purchased on the Android Market (Google Play). This causes really annoying issues!
I add both accounts to my phone and turn off sync for the old account. Then I open the Google Play app, hit the menu button and select acounts from which I'll select my old account with which I purchased all the apps. These apps wont show up under 'My Apps' and when I try to search and download it wants me to pay again.
I've tried all kinds of stuff like deleting the Google Play data, adding just one account at first and then the other but nothing seems to be working and it's really starting to piss me off. Any ideas?

Google play, wrong account.

I have two Google accounts that I use on my phone. One is just used for purchases and the other is for a personal email. So my issue is I bought this app to unlock the full version under one account, the one I use for my purchases, but to do this I had to remove my personal email account. After adding that account back, the app tries to use the Google play account I just use for email and says that I need to purchase the app to unlock the full version. Anybody have any idea how to fix this without permanently removing one account?

Why not just remove the email account from the phone and use the paid account for your phone, launch the Gmail app and then add the email account. That will pretty much do what you're wanting.

After readding the account it asks me to repurchase my iap. Somehow it defaults back to the other account as the default and since I purchased it on the other account it doesn't verify that I've bought it.
So far I've viewed a few threads with similar issues, but no solutions. I've found one, but it requires root. Remove the account, buy the app, make a tib, add the account, and then restore the tib
I don't use the Gmail app anyways, but I have had some past purchases on my other account that always end up having the apps trial period expire and say I don't own the app.

It sounds like you need to delete both accounts, along with the purchased apps and then only add the account you buy apps pin back to the phone and reinstall your apps. You should probably clear all Play Store and Google Services Framework data.
Then if you want the email back add it in only the Gmail app.

Yeah, but like I said I keep having issues with power amp when I do it that way since I bought that a long time ago on my old DROID on that account. It keeps defaulting back to trial. I think this case is unique since it was an iap. Every time I add that account back it gets reattached since I initially downloaded off the dummy account. When I couldn't get the account to change for the purchase, I deleted my dummy Gmail account and bought it. I guess I could just cough up money and buy power amp again lol.

Well the way I understand is you are adding them both to the phone instead of just adding one to the phone and then going in Gmail and adding the email account there.
If I am wrong maybe you need to contact Google and explain the issue and see if they have a fix.

Yeah, but what I'm saying is I need both added otherwise power amp always results back to the trial app stating they can't verify my license. Anyways, the tib method worked for me.

[Q] Updated ROM - where are my apps?

Think it may have to do with setting up a different gmail acct than the one I use with Google Play on previous ROM. regardless, now I just have a dozen or so generic apps instead of all my previously installed ones. Help!
If you change to a diffrent Google account only sideloaded apps (apps not loaded through Google) will stay on the device. All other apps has to be re-installed through the new Google account.
At least I think that's how it is...

Yep, that's how it is. Play Store apps are linked to the account on your device. With that being said, though, you can also have two Google accounts on one device -- add another Google account in System Settings, and you'll be able to select which account is active when you're using the Play Store.
[Can't seem to add another gmail acct. under Settings...when I go under ADD Account and hit Google it takes me back to previous screen in Settings

[Q] In app purchases not staying on phone

Hi,
So I purchased a couple in app purchases (upgraded to premium/no ads) on my phone. I used one google account, let's call it google account A. When I go to the app again, the apps ask me to purchase yet again and when I press buy it sends me to google account B. The apps (Reddit now and Muslim pro) only become premium when I remove account B from my phone. Once I re-add B, they go back to their free versions. I have tried removing both Google accounts and then signing in with A and then signing in with B and it'll become free.
I'm not sure if I'm making sense, in short the apps are paid versions if only google account A is on my phone, if both accounts are on there the apps go back to the free version.
How do I fix this? I need both accounts on my phone!
Thanks
