I firstly flashed Supernexus ROM on my device, tried to turn on "mobile data" to access the internet, the "H" in the upper bar is not existing, I installed firmware 4.1.2 back again, still the same problem, help anyone. :/

That simply means that the HSDPA is weak or not present in your area. Alternatively you can check if your network mode is configured to GSM/WCDMA (Auto mode) or just GSM. If it's just GSM only you won't receive any HSDPA signal.

It has GSM/WCDMA marked.
My mobile is GT 19300 > JZO54K I9300XELLA, before flashing any ROMs, Mobile Network/Paket Data was working perfectly, but I really don't know what happened. :/

Like I said the HSDPA signal maybe weak in your area. If you think that this is a problem with your phone then try doing a factory reset. You can also try contacting your network provider. If all else fails then try flashing a newer ROM as the XELLA builds are quite old.

I've tried Supernexus ROM, it couldn't work, and that was the first ROM I've installed other than the official firmware one, but network data stopped working as soon as Supernexus is installed. I don't think I need to call my network provider as it worked previously. I need firmware ROM, I can't install one on my phone instead of XELLA, can I?

The stock official firmware thread by faryaab contains the latest firmware for our phone so you can look into that. You can also try searching the forums if there is a similar issue with a solution. I'm sorry if I couldn't be of more help as I'm out of ideas too.

Now I'm stuck on Welcome Screen "Galaxy S III" because of several ROM flashes, though I can access to Recovery/Download modes, I tried full phone wipe/factory reset, still stuck. I'm out of tricks.

I can't phone with my S3

Since 2 days i can't phone with my S3.
When i call someone, my s3 sounds nothing and i can't hear someone and someone can't hear me. If someone is calling me, there is the same problem.
Please provide more details of you firmware so others may try of understand the nature and cause of your problem. Knowing the cause will most like lead to the solution
ie. Any changes made since the problem
1. Rooted?
2. Firmware version including baseband
3. Custom or stock?
4. Any mods, flashing, setting changes since working?
5. Apps installed since?
6. Have you Factory reset?
7. Any other info that would be useful sincethe problem started..........

1. NO ROOTING
2. FLASHED TO ORIGINAL Firmware with no Apps or Games. I installed nothing and with Factory Reset.
AP: I9300XXALE8
CP: I9300XXLE8
DBT: I9300DBTALE5
Before the problem started it was rooted.
but i can do and try what i want.
my simcard works with other phones.
my galaxy s1 has no problem.
only my s3 has a problem with calling.
i can't hear someone and someone can't hear me.
when i will call someone there is no dial-tone.
1. Try switching and test between GSM and WCDMA
2. Flash back to your origninal firmware or try another firmware or modem
[Guide+ROMS]Odin Flash+Root Guide & Stock Firmwares LE4/6/8/9/F/D, LF1/2
++ Do you still have original IMEI number?
Try switching and test between GSM and WCDMA
I have tried it, but there is no reaction.
yes i have original imei.
If you have exhausted all the previous suggestions, can't imagine it being any fault of the firmware. More likely hardware.
I'd erase all evidence of rooting and make sure sure you flash counter in Download mode is Zero and Settings > Status > Device Status does not read modified >> return for warranty repair or replacement
Sorry, can't think of anything else yet
yes i think its a hardware error.
all other functions internet, etc are working correctly.
I'm having the same problem.
i also had a problem with calling. i think antenna is faulty since the phone loses signal. just replace it.

Why bother with repairing anything when that will void warranty. Exchange for new if possible, or official Samsung service centre.

but the question is what is the error?
i think if the antenna is faulty i can't get a connection to the data transfer and the internet. but this is working.
i have only a call problem.
can it be that a modem file is corrupt?

i had the same. you can try to reset your phone via settings
I doubt that this a hardware error.
Reason 1: speaker and microphone are working.
Reason 2: mobile data sending and receiving is working.
(if this is an error with the antenna i think i can't receive and send mobile data)
Reason 3: i have always a good signal.
i have only a problem with calling. and this with 3 other tested simcards.
after the ending of a call it comes for 2-5 seconds the message that i have currently no signal.

Mobile Data Not working on new ROMs

Hi,
I've flashed my SGS2 successfully to Cyanogenmod 7.1. Then I wanted to upgrade but whichever new ROM I put (Resurection Remix 3.0.x or Cyanogenmod 9.1) the Mobile Data network will not work.
I have found Samsung stock version 4.0.4 and there Mobile Data works OK. Baseband version is I9100DDLPA. But this stock version drains the battery so fast that I really want to change to something else.
Then I copied all the APN settings from there and put them manually to both RR and Cyanogenmod but it did NOT help, no Mobile Data.
I have found DDLPA modem file and flashed both RR and Cyanogenmod and no luck!
On this site I found the instructions how to extract modem.bin from ROM but I'm not sure if that's the right path to take. I don't want to brick my phone and I flashed it back and forth dozens of times already (almost there to give up).
The phone is bought and used in Dominican Republic with Claro as provider.
Other data from About: Build number IMM76D.XWLPT
Can anybody help?
You said you put the APN settings in manually? Chances are good there's a typo. Like a comma instead of a period, spaces where there should be none, or a password that is lower case that should be capitalized, etc. Double check the settings.

Thank you for your reply, but I think I put those APNs more that 10 times and at least 3 times checked if I read them correctly from the source.
I am having the exact same issue. My mobile data is not working at all once I flash a new ROM, Tried a host of CM9 Nightlies and CM10, and a few other roms too.
I have also tried to enter my APN details manually and nothing happens. After I hit the save button it returns to the APN menu and displays NOTHING.
Flashing a modem does not help either
Not sure what to do??
I'm having same issue on pa cm10 and cm10 unofficial. Just started 2 days ago for me. New modem did nothing APN is correct. Haven't tried stock ROM Odin yet but I don't have a computer

i understand you guys cannot use mobile data, after flashing CM9/CM10 even though your APN settings are set manually and correctly.
Please provide answers to the following questions:
1. Is your problem only related to CM9/CM10 ROMs only?
2. Do you have EDGE + 3G + H, but you cannot just browse because you can't get H+?
3. Did your mobile
mobile data ever worked when you flash a non-stock based custom ROM? If there is any please name them
4. Have you ever faced similar problems after flashing a stock firmware / stock based Rom?
Guys, we'll be doing a lot of troubleshooting, and hopefully, this problem will get solved.

First, try using the reset to default option in the APN menu, this can sometimes takes a while to set so be patient.
If that doesnt work, enter your APN manually but dont hit `save`, when you are done use the `back` button then `home`. Then reboot.
Both of these work for me.

Possible, but highly unlikely... especially if the issue is solved by flashing a modem, kernel, or firmware/ROM. If any solution found here involves flashing one of these things, for your sake, DEFINITELY DO NOT DO IT. You will make your situation worse.
Agreed I wouldn't flash anything unless it was from t 989 or the skyrocket. IM just running out of options and was hoping I would get lucky and the fix would have to do with a certain way of wiping caches or something to that matter sorry to cluster up this thread.

1. Your problem is caused by mismatched Ril and baseband Download Getril: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sibbor.getril&hl=en
2. When you run the app, it will first tell you the recommended modem for your Ril.
- I'll advise to download the recommended modem here: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1277593, then flash this modem via CWM recovery. Your APN settings will stick after a single restart.
- If you are unable to find the recommended modem for your Ril, then you can then download the recommended Ril for your baseband/mourn. Reboot your phone once. Your APN should stick now.
Problem solved
Personally, I prefer the first solution

i am such a tard.. i havent backed up the efs... i did so now after the mess ... i believe there must be someone with tips and a small hope, btw restoring efs make no difference at all, as dont have correct files.
The EFS is fine if you have IMEI, if you have only flashed each ROM once through ODIN you have hope. Try an ODIN flash again. Can you get to recovery to do full wipe first?
Try EFS Pro Here and download to your PC then run it. You will probably need to use your own wireless to get Busybox (free on Play Store) and run it on your phone - if the phone will not go to wireless, DL the files to your PC then copy BB over to the phone in Windows Explorer and run it on the phone.
Then run EFS Pro on your PC (with phone connected by USB, but it will prompt you) and there are a couple of options there to try to see if you can recover things. (NV Recovery and Repair NV Data) - I think the NV Recovery uses info on the phone (.bak file) while repair tries to rebuild the info.
Good luck. Maybe read through the thread first or contact the thread OP if you have questions about EFS Pro processes...

I don't think this will help with the Serial issue, but maybe for the service all you need is the APN/Service info from Vodaphone? Go to [Settings] [More Settings] [Mobile Networks] and check both Access Point Names and Network Operators.
I flashed a ROM and found I had problems so I went to a Telstra page, entered my phone number and it sent me a text with a security code - when I entered that it sent me an install that connected all my services again. Maybe Voda has similar? Or even just a page with APN info?

guys help me out... i am stucked ... any tips? i am willing to try "almost" everything to make it work.
Beyond what I know so far, sorry. If it was me I'd be making sure I have back-ups of everything I can think of (Data, System, Nandroid, EFS) then I would start from clean phone - wipe everything in recovery, factory reset etc. then load as close as possible to the original Stock for the phone. If that doesn't do it, with official stock and counters etc. I'd go to vendor and ask what gives. I'd start with the service provider and if they can't help, phone vendor, then failing that, Samsung.
Maybe some of the more experienced here can assist otherwise...

[Q] NETWORK PROBLEM galaxy gt-i9506

Hello everyone
These are times I can not make or receive calls or text messages when I try to call there write "not registered on the network."
So I restarted my phone several times, do a restoration of setting, I searched my network manually but to no avail. I know this is not the problem from the SIM because I put it in another phone and I was able to call and receive my messages, so i concluded that it is the phone has a problem.
my phone works well but sometimes I have this weird problem
I hope you can help me I am disappointed, I thank you in advance

A factory reset will bring your phone to the condition it was when you bought it and thus this may fix your connectivity problem (i.e. if the problem is due to software malfunction).
Maybe it's a hardware problem too. The only way to tell is to do a factory reset or install the firmware again.

You can try that too. But I don't see why this will work since your device runs the original firmware.
What's your baseband version?

To make sure that your modem functions correctly. If you flash the modem and you continue to experience the same problem then do a factory reset. If it still doesn't work then re-install the entire firmware.
If after all the above steps it doesn't work then it might be a hardware issue (which you can't fix).

I had that issue on another Samsung device (i9195). It seems Sammy hides that meny for the countries that jt lists as not having 4g. Try resetting your phone completely, install a fresh and most recent build from www.sammobile.com/firmwares
Or you can try and change the CNC
thanks for answering to my question.
But the problem still remains.
Any other ideas?
are you on custm rom,coz with custom rom you are not flashing modem.bin
modem.bin you can flash as phone in odin
no, I have stock, not custom rom.
the phone is new, and every phone from it's party have the same problem.

If you dont like to wait your provider update, you must root your phone & flash modem.bin with odin as PHONE
I think in Eudemony ROM v2 & 3 you have separat modem download link from me
That is your solution
thanks for answer
i have download your modem.bin from dropbox, root phone, write modem.bin with ODIN

Flashing the modem.bin did not help, but:
Now i tried installing the custom rom itself, Eudemony ROM 3 and the LTE appeared in the network settings.
But i cant stay on custom rom, i need the stock .
but if nothing other helps, at least please tell me how can I delete the custom battery showing of that rom?
why i should make root to to flash modem by odin ?? coz i face same issue that i dont have lte 4g network ???????

Yes I think you are right I was worried I did some thing wrong coz I messed with my device when I first bought it couple of months ago
After you have rooted the device completely, go to Google Play and install 'ES file explorer'. Open the app, and press the menu key on the device and you will get a panel to your left on the screen. Scroll down and enable Rootexplorer (you will ask to grant permission by the SuperSU app since you have rooted, so give permission). Now use the search function and find the file with this EXACT name 'persist.radio.lteon' and delete it. Please make sure you are deleting this exact file. Don't delete anything else and end up bricking your device. After deleting restart the phone and that's it! You will have the LTE/WCDMA/GSM option in the network mode once you are booted and you will receive 4G signals if you are in an area with LTE coverage.
