Hello, i have found this horizontal recents mod and this sense recents mod. Both posts contain the changes that need to be made in systemui.apk and framework.apk but I have no knowledge in compiling and decompiling and so far my efforts have caused my device to bootloop.
Is there any chance that anyone has the time to port either of this mods to cm10.2? I am using temasek's v37.
I would be really grateful as my efforts have been disappointing so far.
Thank you!

I spent the morning making Redirections for touchwiz to be compatible with xthemer.
For those who know what your doing feel free to download the redirections, unzip, then open with 7zip and copy to the android.xml in your ported theme.
I ported crimson cobalt this morning, and here are the results.
Running: Novella Rom
For More Screenshots go HERE
Last but not least here is the link to the Redirections. Also make sure you visit the G+ community and thank Ruqq for developing xthemer.
You will also find links on the community page on how to install and use xthemer.
I am currently waiting on permission from the developer of Crimson Cobalt to share the apk.
Finally, I'm sorry for the sloppy op but I've been on the computer all day and I need to get up, just wanted to get this out there so we could get some more themes ported over for our Note's.
Upon researching further, I have found the the stock dialer needs some work. The # 1 is a different color than the rest and "contacts" isn't properly theming. Probably a few edits need to be made in the redirections xml. I will be working on these issues plus I will be flashing a stockish rom (something I never do) just so I can ensure that all of the issues are ironed out. Any help on this would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Epic! Love to see the finished product

I've just started looking into porting ROMs (more specifically, ICS themes to Gingerbread), and I found a few tools that port the ROM for you. If it were really that easy, isn't it possible to port any ROM to any device? This might be a really stupid question and I'm not fully understanding what porting a ROM means.
These were the tools that I found:

Generally porting a rom means to get a rom which you like of some other device to your device... Both the devices should be same screen resolution and same android version..
I use this guide :highfive: -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32080012
So if I wanted to theme Gingerbread so that it looks like ICS (i.e. by editing Mms.apk, SystemUI.apk, etc), how exactly would I do so?
I found HoloEverywhere (https://github.com/Prototik/HoloEverywhere, README: https://github.com/Prototik/HoloEverywhere/blob/master/README.md) that lets developers theme their apps to the Holo Theme, but I'm not sure how to apply this to the Gingerbread APK files.
I am wanting to edit CM10.1 ROMs (4.2.2) in my android kitchen. I would source build but computer restrictions will not let me do so. I have very good knowledge with ROM building (Stock only). I just want to make sure that I can set working folder from CM10.1 then edit what i need to then build and flash. I Own the Galaxy Note 2 for T-mobile if that helps any. Also if its possible please list any cautions or steps that i may need to know.
Thanks so much guys!
Same probably applies to miui rom.
I want to port Lewa OS to Xperia U, and I have chosen patchrom. Things are going good, but I'm stuck at editing smali. Since I'm not good with smali, I was wondering if someone could help me on that. Basically, I have "reject" smalis, files in which are lines which couldn't be implemented by patchrom. I need to manually implement those corrections, but as I said I'm not very good with smali. I get the general idea, but I'm unable to do it.
In attachment I provided "reject" smalis and smalis in which corrections from rejects needs to be implemented.
Here is an explanation of what needs to be done:

I would appreciate any help!
I've tried just about every rom and kernel on this site for my Xgo, and I've found AOSX 4.4.4 to be the best overall. Problem is, there's no settings option for themes. I really like the Android L theme from this thread, (http://forum.xda-developers.com/xper...-apps-t2798153), so I've been messing around with trying to get it to take on my AOSX rom. I've tried Apktool, and HKthemer, trying to modify the Theme.apk and the phone's framework-res.apk, but always come up with errors about not finding source for files. The biggest part of the problem is that I don't know what I'm doing, but I've hit it lucky taking chances enough times before that I'm willing to keep trying. Any Ideas?
(I know that I could easily install a different launcher with a similar theme, but for one, I don't like additional launchers, and for two, I just want to figure it out)
Thanks
