Doesn't work on my Z1. Happens like this:
Root... Check
Install SuperSu... Check
unintelligible Chinese. superuser... resulting in unrooted phone.
Another idea to get a nonChinese superuser?

Yes it does
Edit: I can't update SU binary with Supersu. :/
It not works with the 2.254 firmware and it gives you phone restarts when try to do any root thing for example delete a system file.
SuperSu does not work either. I can update the binary but gives you unlimited phone restarts right after boot. So bootloop.
I deleted it in safe mode.
Waiting for the new version. :\
I have now installed supersu and updated binairy.
also i have tried superuser from chainsdd ant had no bootloop anymore but lost root when removing the chinese version.
how do i delete the chinese superuser app without losing root?
EDIT:
Somehow i managed to root my phone while the chinese superuser was removed and it didn't come back after root using Vroot
so now i am using supersu and it's working perfect.
EDIT:
Phone force reboot when removing system app or changing /system to r/w.

Then open flashtool and install busybox, phone reboots.
Open flashtool again and install busybox. now reboots should be gone.
now install recovery from SaM, download "Clockworkmod superSu" as flashable zip, go to recovery and install zip. now chinese Supersu is gone. :good:

You guys should try the SuperSU app by chainfire. It's a hundred times better than the usual SuperUser app. Trust me, you will be benefited. I am currently using it with gingercruzt- xs. Works great.
Install instructions:
1) Go to the play store and Install SuperSU.
2) Open it.
3) It will prompt for a binary update. Accept it.
4) After installation succeeds configure the app to suit your needs.
5) Reboot
Note- You can't use SuperUser(not SuperSU) app with SuperSU. Either delete it using a root browser or don't open it.
Cheers.
Oh really?
So tell me, what is there so much better than regular Superuser.
i use SuperSU with CM9 and it's a nice option for ics i think, but both apps are good, don't think that one is better, i only like the SuperSU interface more

Unless Superuser runs into problems, I won't change it at this point. Superuser just works... if and when I start learning to be a dev myself then I would need to understand su logs, but for the moment I don't need the granular control of SuperSU.
And I Quote......
"SuperSU takes SuperUser and enhances just about every bit of it! It comes with a better access prompt/logging/notifications, lets you configure notifications for each apps, unroot your device temporarily so you can access non-root-only services like Google Videos and more. These features are included in the free version while the pro version comes with features like an OTA Survival Mode in which SuperSU attempts making through an OTA update that normally removes root access, PIN protection, color-coded input, output and error command content logging...."

"SuperSU obviously requires root permissions to run, so be sure to root your Android device first. After rooting, you may install SuperSU so that it can manage root permissions. If you already have SuperUser installed, then you don’t have to do anything special: installing SuperSU automatically dethrones SuperUser from root management..."
"I’ve been using SuperSU for the past few weeks and, to be very honest with you, haven’t noticed any significant differences between it and SuperUser. Unless you’re an advanced enthusiast, you won’t either. But yes, the Android developer community has been singing praises for it, so we still highly recommend you get it for your device...."
For our phones, OTA update doesn't remove root anyway.
Other features seem a bit useless to me.

It's up to personal preference. But, I would use it mainly for the segmentation error free binary, ability to use su even when android is not booted and more sleeker and darker ui than superuser. It's binary updater is also good.
@Someguyfromhell, why are you being so rude? Have I posted something wrong?
Guys, a lot of people started using this so I suggested that you guys should also try this out.

the only thing is the different su binarys, if u install the SuperSU su-binary the normal su app stop working because it isn't compatible with the su-binary from super su.
u can remove superuser.apk, BUT don't forget if u want to revert to the normal superuser u have to upgrade the su binary with it, others u will lose root access.

Hmm, so complicated, i've just installed this app but i am going to remove it now. I'm a general user, so using this app or a normal superuser app is not important for me. I just care that my phone is rooted. Avoiding trouble is better
I installed it quite a while ago.. Apart from the nice looking UI I didn't find anything else better than regular SU so I uninstalled.
Newb here.
I have just rooted my xperia z1and as per advice installed SuperSu.
I rooted because I was having SD card permissions problems.
Can you tell me how I can change permissions on Apps or sd card.
When ever i try to do the following
- Converting app to user
- Uninstalling system app
- Setting to default installation to internel
I get "SEGMENTATION FAUL"
I am using stock 4.0.4 with extended stock kernel
Any fix for this please:crying:

THIS kernel is for N910F
here's a kernel, compiled from N910F sources XXU1COI3, with XXU1COI3 Ramdisk
It has a single modification, in order to boot the 910F with root, in new firmware 5.1.1.
Everything else is a stock kernel.

Best thing to do seems to be flashing latest TWRP, flash the kernel within TWRP and use the root option that TWRP offers.

After KingRoot you should install the XZDR (use the rooted with SuperSU method)
Now that you have a working recovery and root, UNINSTALL KING ROOT
Reboot to recovery and install SuperSU, restart and open SuperSU. If it says something about updatng the binaries follow the instructions. Alternatively you can reinstall the same installer .zip

XZDR is Xperia Z Dual Recovery, its basically Philz recovery and TWRP recovery flashed together. You enter philz holding vol up and twrp holding vol down when powering up your xperia. Search for NUT dual recovery install instructions.
King root app is basically chinese super su. So you dont need super su per se. Now install XZDR while you only have Kingroot, no need for super su me. Then when you have twrp you can unroot and install super su by flashing it from TWRP.

Download the recovery from here:
http://nut.xperia-files.com/path/XZDualRecovery
Download the zip to your PC (or a computer), and run the install.bat if you're on a Win PC. Ofcourse connect your phone via USB beforehand and enable USB debugging on your xperia. It will flash the recovery automatically after you grant permissions on your phone, just follow the onscreen instructions.

Yes, just choose the first option, type 1 and follow the instructions, keep an eye on your phone, it will pop up a couple of yes - no dialogs. Allow the access and ADB access and wait, it will be fast. When you reboot you will see a green LES light up, this is when you hold up or down for the recovery.

Download superSU from here:
https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/
When you boot to recovery for the first time just reboot to system to let it clean up install files. Then unroot your phone trough Kingroot app (general settings) and then reboot to recovery again and flash the file from this link, you will get super su app and super su binaries and this way you're fully rooted and will have dual recovery for flshing whatever you want.
thanks a lot
i did it
thanks for all your effort and support
