I have flashed ViperAmaze 1.7.1 which is my favorite rom. Even if I unckeck "Message notification preview" in Settings > Privacy, the notifications still appears! I took the Message.apk from another rom and replaced it in system/app. It worked...but I would really like to keep the 4.5 messaging included in the rom since we can change the background.
I noticed that their isn't this option "Message notification preview" in the 4.5 messaging app. In previous versions, this option was available.
Is there anything I can do? Maybe i'm missing something in aroma installer...
I did a full wipe.
Thanks!

In my CM10, the Messaging settings, not the system settings, have an option for showing pop-ups when messages arrive--could this be the same in yours? Near as I can tell, I have no Privacy settings anywhere.

I just updated from stock froyo to Community Rom 1.2. With stock the SMS app icon had a count of unread messages (on app icon, not notification bar). With 1.2 this is gone. Is there an app or something so I can get this feature back? I liked it.
any ideas?
Is thgere is any application / tweak to show the calendar entries on lock screen ?
like - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.lockscreenCalendar
but this app does not work on SGS2.
Which Rom are you using? If you are using ICS Resurrection ( I am using 1.9.1), you can go to settings--> Rom Control --> lockscreen Options --> lockscreen calendar.
From there, you can enable the lock screen calendar and then you will have a list of different calendar options when you enable it.
Good Luck
you can install CM9 and try the calendar app again. Does it work on WanamLite (according to your sig) if you use AOSP lockscreen?
Not working on my ROM.
i am searching also for such an app.
There are some paid applications it seems, but no free /trial versions to check.
Hey,
having two problems
the 1st -
unable to change the wallpaper for the lockscreen.
in only shows the picture i've set for homescreen wallpaper for some reason.
think its related to the JKay mod.
the 2nd problems,
i have some icons not showing up.
instead of the appropriate app icon, i see android icon and text label "loading" instead of app's name.
tried reset, and cache & dalvik wipe.
my phone specs:
ROM - Firefds v13 (based on Samsung stock rom 4.1.2 XXELL5)
Kernel - Perseus (the latest)
Last installed app (think its somehow related) - JKAY Mod(+Delux Settings)
EDIT:
after disabling the option "Transparent status bar" in JKAY, the lock screen background changed to some green leaves now,
but still i'm unable to set other pic as the lockscreen background.
Please help
thanks !
someone please:angel:
another try
update:
the lock screen issue is handled by JKAY author for the time being
still having the problem with the icons
Where is it? I updated to new version, checked/unchecked in settings etc. Notification bar still seems like it's from phone and does not have new Themer options.

Installed the new version and when I expand the Notification Bar I see the new function. Would be nice to set items are displayed, but guessing maybe in future update.

Hi, the notification toolbar refers to the bar that appears once you pull down the notification bar, that displays the shortcuts as shown below.

still don't get it. here's a screenshot of my notification toolbar. there's no themer option there, nor is it add-able
I am using the Honor 7 from November of 2015 and everything was perfect in previous android versions. After a marshmallow update, I am facing this strange error where the notification icons are same as the default app icons. For example, if there is a whatsapp notification, instead of a transparent whatsapp white icon, I get the usual full icon which is green. Facebook notifications appear with usual blue facebook icon, instagram notification annoys the most where the multicolored icon is used for notification. This happens for all other apps too. Can anybody help me get rid of these and switch to original notification icons?
Same issue here after update to EMUI 4. Do you got any solution yet?
try to install notify app from play store and install all program inside . will fix it
Any special notify app, there are a lot of them
I'm having the same issue with notification icons after upgrading to EMUI 4.0. I haven't found a solution so far, but with the Tasker plugin AutoNotification I'm able to set the icon within the notification at least. The notificationbar icon stays the same unfortunately...
Does anybody have a solution to this problem?

Does someone has any news on this? Just updated to B371 and still having this issue!

This comes by default with the latest Marshmallow updates, use a different theme which has some cool icons, so your status bar will look good.
