Simple Password Dictionary file in /assets - G2 General

I was poking around Settings.apk and in the assets folder I stumbled on "simple_password_dictionary.txt". I'm not entirely sure yet how this is used (or if it is used at all).
For kicks, here's the list. I've wrapped HIDE tags around it as some of the terms I suppose could be considered NSFW.
My favorite is "trustno1".
Cheers.

[Q] Need help organizing my apps

OK, so I'm a noob with the Thunderbolt and I'm sure this is an easy question. But, I'm lost:
Is there a way to take the menu of "all apps" and place them inot folders, so they're sorted into "communications" folder, "games" folder, "utilities" folder, etc. There are many file managers that claim to do this, but they don't show their results under the HTC Sense "all apps" uberfolder.
I've seen a few topics related to this, but not for the Thunderbolt, and none recent. I'll try them. Meanwhile, if you've solved this problem for the Thunderbolt, please help me. TIA!

Kind of like the iPhone ? Well your best bet will be using go launcher , you can organize them the way and it works good on TB

Yeah I'm using ADW Launcher and you could separate them into Catalogs and hide the "All Apps" in the App drawer.
Yea, it's a function of the launcher as mentioned. If you're willing to try another launcher you'd be able to do it. For instance, I have mine set up in different "catalogs" as mentioned by HeCareth so that I can swipe left or right to get to different drawers of Tools, Media, etc. (ADW EX for me btw).
or just make folders on home screens. thats another alternative.
Not exactly what you wanted....
I know you specifically stated you wanted folders in the app drawer itself, but I've recently fallen in love with Auto App Organizer. That's a link to the ad-supported version but if you also become infatuated the developer has a donate version as well: https://market.android.com/details?id=zts.ticket.autoapporganizer&feature=more_from_developer
I use apps organizer from the market it is free and does exactly what you asked

I think according to his description he wanted to organize the app drawer which is why people recommended other launchers. But yes, you can do most of what apps organizer does by making folders on the homescreen as bthomp said and fill them with apps. Not sure why an extra app would be desired for this when it's included by default but maybe it's somehow prettier or something or has some added features.
Thanks, guys. Got what I needed from you and decided to place a single folder on the home screen, and place my most often used apps in there. It'll work for the time being, until I research all your outions and pick one that's more permanent from your helpful list.
I use SiMi...love it and its free

How do I create a FOLDER on the desktop?

How do I make a folder on the desktop without having to install a 3rd party app? I searched for forum and only came up with Honeycomb stuff which actually didn't support that.
All you do is take one if the apps you want to put in a folder and put it on the desktop then you take the next app that you want to put into the folder and just drag it over to other app and Willa you have a folder and you can repeat for more apps

Yep, what he said....
Drop one app on top of another to make the folder.
Drop multiple apps on top the folder to place them in.
Damn so easy I never even thunk it up. Thanks!!
What if I wanted to make a folder with PDFs or other files in it?

Looking for an app to backup to a specified host

I am looking for an app that will allow me to auto backup or choose files to back up to a specified host... not to a service like drop box etc, but to a destination that I define like examplesite.com and to a directory on that host.
It would need to function much like an FTP app but would be locked to a single directory and offer a simple UI.
Anything out there that fits this?
Thanks!

Looking for solution for a 2nd "user"

Hello,
My son loves playing on my phone as well as my wife's. Issue is he's two and a half years old....
Needless to say you'll find new apps installed via ads in games, random messages sent to people, things moved and or deleted. We've since put locks on our phones but that's not really a solution as then you need to unlock it for him and he still has full access to everything (last time my wife found out she had 20 new friend requests on Facebook lol)
My question is.. is there eight a good home launcher that you can make a second user with limited app access (only ones you selected to allow) or a ROM with a similar feature built in that works with galaxy s devices (mines a gt-i9000t and hers is a vzw fascinate)
Or, any other app suggestions that default to a kid mode unless you unlock/exit the app to get full access to the device?
Mine is currently running aokp, hers is on the stock vzw firmware but I have no problem doing a rom and/or rooting if required.
Thanks!

4.1 was also found to have some code for 'user' logins as well (so in sometime this wiml hopefully be supported in an official capacity)

Set up a second launcher just for him and put the apps he can use on the desktop and delete the shortcut for the app drawer
You can also set up a pin to download from the play store now i think.

Working on an Ubuntu Touch WebApp

Nothing special. Just a WebApp for my store.
But I'm having trouble with something simple.
I'm trying to make a simple changelog using qml. The change log will be separate from the main application and called onto the already established canvas.
I know how to call the qml file I just can't make a simple read only change log in QML.

How did you create the webapp? Using QML or the webapp packaging guide?
If you used QML, have a look at the PageStack component and push a new Page component. Inside you can have a Flickable containing a Label with your changelog code. You should even be able to use some html formatting for it. Or go with html completely.
I did use pagestack. Not what I want exactly. But now that I am getting comfortable with QML things are getting easier.
And I used webview and with JS core to display the page and adjust it to fit all screen sizes.
