At the same time, press and hold the following keys for 8 seconds: Power key, Home key, and Volume down key.
After 8 seconds or when the Android displays, release the keys. The Master Reset will automatically start.

howd you go to download mode and recovery
hi.
i used this to make restore
A master reset (factory reset) restores the original factory settings and erases all user data (including settings and downloaded content) stored in the phone's internal memory. It does not erase data stored on the SIM card or memory card (if available).
Note: If the handset is locked, frozen, or unresponsive, you can perform a master reset using the hardware keys instead of the menu.
To perform a master reset using hardware keys, follow these steps:
Back up all necessary data. See: Preparing for a master reset on Android.
Turn off the phone.
Note: If the phone is unresponsive and does not turn off, remove the battery and then re-insert it.
Simultaneously press and hold the Qwerty F and Qwerty A keys.
While continuing to hold the Qwerty F and Qwerty A keys, add the Volume Down key.
While holding the Qwerty F, Qwerty A and Volume Down key, press the Power/Lock key.
After you see the LG logo wait at least 10 seconds, then release all of the keys.
The Android Unpacking screen will appear, indicating the master reset is in progress.
The phone will automatically restart and complete the factory reset.
Hi guys, so I've been digging through a ton of posts on here trying to solve this problem.
I have a VS98012B a.k.a. LG G2, it's stuck in a boot loop.
LG Logo displays, then the Android on his back with the red triangle, one minute later the screen goes black and the process starts all over again. Here's what I did leading up to the issue:
I rooted the phone with ioroot24.
Root was successful.
Used Root Explorer to change permissions on the SYSTEM folder. (I was trying to change the .ogg system sounds to custom ones.)
I was prompted that I would need "Superuser" status to do so.
The launcher app, and half a dozen others crashed over and over. I couldn't power off the phone or anything. I could only press OK everytime the box popped up every second. So I attempted to hard boot the phone with the POWER button, and here I am in this boot loop.
I tried using the LG Software, and a .kdz file for a VS98011A. The USB drivers are the latest ones for the phone. I tried rolling it back thinking it might help to have an older version, but couldn't find the device driver to roll it back from.
The LG Software will attempt to restore it, but since the phone keeps rebooting, it never gets a chance to perform the install.
I tried to do a factory reset, holding VOL DOWN, then POWER, then at the LG Logo I release the POWER and hold POWER down again while still holding VOL DOWN.
The dialog comes up to reset it, I tap POWER 3 times, the screen goes black, The Android with the Blue Orb comes up with a loading bar, but it disappears after about 3 seconds, and the whole boot loop continues.
I'm about to kill myself. Please help if you can. T_T
Please close this thread. I found out how to put the phone in Download Mode, which took it out of the boot loop, enabling me to finish the process via the LG Mobile Update Tool.
To enter Download Mode, you need to hold the VOLUME UP key.
Surprisingly, the older 11A version was a placeholder for the actual Recovery data that was used for my phone-12B.
A collegue thought it would be interesting to see what the wipe data command on Exchange would do to my phone.
It appears to have bricked it.
The phone boots, shows the THL logo for a few seconds then shows a dark grey screen.
Is this phone recoverable.
I am a complete noob, first post, so if it is recoverable I'm going to need real step by step basic instructions.
Hope there is somebody who can help.
Thanks.

A hard reset could save your life..
Press and hold the volume (-) button and then press the power button for about 3 seconds, release the volume (-) button when the screen comes and wait for repair menu. It's written in Chinese. Go to the part which is writing MMC at the end with the volume (-) button and press the power button. You are now in the hard reset menu, press the power button again and wait until the phone opens. That's all. You will lose all your programs which you installed before if you didn't back up before but the phone will work. I saved my W200S yesterday with same solution.
Thanks for your advice. I noticed the Chinese menu but I avoided it every time being afraid of not ruining something . Anyway, these days I've found out how to flash new ROMs so I am fooling around with trying different ROMs, I got allowance from my wife for this ). I am trying to fix an issue of the stock ROM, the proximity sensor doesn't light up the display when taking away from ear. The phone was not rooted so any attempt to enter engineering mode failed. Yesterday I discovered a MIUI ROM which looks very stylish and it solved the proximity sensor and even added the notification LED option (this was not included in the stock ROM). Now I have to test the battery life.

THLW200S - Cyanogenmod 11
Hi, I solved all the issues of my THLW200S (lack of notification LED and improperly functioning of the proximity sensor) by flashing this ROM. I tried a few other ROM's but this one works flawlessly.

Explain how you did that. Also can you get in emergency mode? Pull battery out. Wait 10 seconds and put it back. Hold the volume down key and plug an USB in the phone (Usb must be connected to pc in an USB 2 port).
To enter CWM, retire battery, use volume down + QuickMemo button + Power. When vibrates, quit the Power Button. If that doesn't help, flash the stock kdz using LG Flash Tool.
Ok, i've searched all over the internet for the same problem and i couldnĀ“t find anyone who've experienced this.
Where's what happened, my power button started to mal-function after my phone restarted. Now i cant lock or unlock the screen with it. The funny thing is that if I press it long enough it shows that [Shutdown/restart] menu. And if i keep pressing it it will soft reset the phone as usual.
I've already tried an app to se wich keys are being pressed to rule out the stuck key problem. The phone no longer recognizes the quick press of the key to lock/unlock, it only recognizes the long press of the power button.
Also today it refused to identify the charger and didn't charge at all, dunno if it as something to do with it.
My phone is the Wiko Wax, rooted, custom rom( Tesla 0.4.9a) android 4.4.4, with custom kernel as well.
I have already re-flashed everything, formated my phone and everything, but it doesn't seem to get fixed.
This started to happen after the phone restarted it self, without me doing anything to it
